We purchased Todd Crag House in 2004 converting it into two self contained apartments. The upper, Todd Crag House has two bedrooms, the lower now known simply as Todd Crag has one bedroom, is very large and retains many of the original features. Considerable expense went into bringing the property up to current standards and restoring original features.
Following the first tranche of improvement with the complete restoration of the severely neglected substantial 'servants' accommodation in the grounds. This is now a fully fitted, damp proofed and very popular single bedroom detached cottage which, for the first four years was an 'owner bolthole'. it is now available to let and known as Azalea Cottage, named after the ancient plant rescued from the previously neglected and overgrown gard
Easy access to the fells, bustling Ambleside and many good pubs and restaurants.

Perfect location, easy walk to Ambleside and so many surrounding fell walks. The cottage itself was wonderful, lovely fluffy towels and kitchen essentials supplied. Lovely spacious bedroom and modern kitchen, delightful little courtyard thats fully enclosed so great for dogs. Highly recommend it, we will definitely book again.
