Perfect Hen House!

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely stunning house in a beautiful place, perfect for a hen party! Location was excellent for getting into Bristol and Vicki was a fab host, even leaving milk in the fridge for us! :) I really hope to return one day for another event.

I want to live here!

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from our stay at Oak Barn for a hen weekend and could not fault the property at all. The Barn is stunning throughout, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, a short walk into the village to a selection on local pubs (we had a great lunch at the Bear and Swan) and a 20-30min drive to Bath or Bristol. I couldn't recommend this place highly enough and trying to think of excuses to go back! Vicki was also a great host and very helpful!

Thank you!!

Beautiful barn in a lovely setting!!

  • 5 of 5

Oak barn was a lovely property. Decorated beautifully, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a family get together. I liked the open plan design of the cottage. It meant my family and I could have a good old catch up and cook dinner at the same time.

Location wise, Chew Magna was only a short walk away where there are loads of nice places to get a drink or Sunday lunch.

Highly recommend

Fantastic Find

  • 5 of 5

Oak Barn was hired for a group of 15 thirtysomethings for a hen party. From the first introduction, Vicki was extremely helpful and informative. The barn itself is very contemporary and modern with its open plan dining and seating area. One of the pulling points for our party is that it had the option to have single beds so their was no awkwardness between guests!

The barn is beautifully finished and to a very high standard. The location was perfect for my party as my guests were coming from surrounding areas so it is within a 20 minute drive to the cities of both Bath & Bristol. We had no real need to leave the barn for the whole weekend as it had everything we needed, however Vicki would point you in the right direct should you require.

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend and are thinking of more excuses to return!

Amazing Place!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for a long weekend with 14 of my friends. The barn was perfect, it had been restored to a really high standard and everywhere was so clean yet homely! All the bedrooms had their individual charm and for a group of friends it was ideal with single beds in all of the rooms and a huge dining table for us all to sit together.

Vicki the owner was so helpful through-out the booking process and it was lovely to meet her. She went out of her way to suggest walks, pubs, nothing was too much trouble. She even posted my forgotten phone charger back (thank-you!).

Chew Magna village is full of charm with some lovely pubs. We (17 of us in total) ate in The Bear and Swan and the food was great. We also did the Chew Valley circular walk which was lovely, an easy walk which takes you through and around the village.

I cannot recommend this property highly enough - I'm already trying to think of a reason to return!
