Lovely , comfortable seaside home .

We had the most wonderful holiday at The Tudors . Located in a quiet village a few minutes walk from a beautiful beach . Shops and a nice pub less than 5 minutes away . The house has everything you could possibly need and a good sized garden to boot .Hope to return soon .

A perfect place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The Tudors is a lovely house in a wonderful location. Comfortable accommodation, especially with the large conservatory where you can easily relax with a book or watch the birds in the large, private garden.

The Tudors is a short walk from the beach and also from nearby woods, which made a perfect morning walk for us. A great place to stay for families and the perfect base for exploring the Norfolk coast and countryside. We will be back.

Everything you could wish for in a seaside holiday

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful two weeks at the Tudors this summer. The house is spacious, airy and every comfort is catered for. The kitchen is particularly well resourced and the conservatory is chocked full of toys which kept our children happy for many an hour - so much so that it was often their wish not to go out at all, but to stay at the house all day! The bedrooms are comfortable with sea views and it was lovely to hear the waves crashing whilst dropping off to sleep on a stormy night. The large garden gave us even more room to spread out in.

The area is perfect; a few minutes walk from the gorgeous beach which was practically empty when we walked our dog in the early mornings and late afternoons - although it was pretty popular on the very sunny days. The area is rich in history and we enjoyed learning about the West Runton elephant and rhino skeletons which had been found on the local beach, and we even found a couple of fossils ourselves! We would highly recommend a stay at the cottage in any season.

Lovely Holiday Home

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from The Tudors with our 3 children. We enjoyed our stay, not least because the cottage, which is perfectly situated for the beach, had every need catered for. The conservatory is fabulous and is where the children spent most of their time. They even enjoyed coming back 'home' from our many trips out! The beach is perfect, huge and unspoilt and I can recommend the beach cafe for friendly service and plentiful ice cream and toasties! We also enjoyed Sheringham and Cromer and the seals at Blakeney. The Dinosaur Adventure is amazing for children as is Bewilderwood which was magical! For food, The Village Inn is a short walk and does lovely food, the carvery at the Dormy House Hotel is fantastic and children eat free and Clementines does great breakfasts. The owner of The Tudors we found to be both friendly and accommodating and would recommend this lovely home from home to anyone wishing a peaceful retreat. Thank you!

Norfolk Idyll

  • 5 of 5

5/5 Rating:

We found that ‘the Tudors’ could not have been a more perfect place for us to stay on the North Norfolk coast! As two couples, the house provided us with everything that we wanted. Splendidly equipped and furnished, with a huge conservatory that we virtually lived in for most of our stay, our accommodation gave us the environment where we could relax and enjoy both the house and its surroundings. It was a perfect location for our two golfing enthusiast husbands, situated only 10 minutes from two spectacular golf courses in Cromer and Sheringham, with the added bonus of a challenging 9-hole course only 2 minutes walk away in West Runton itself. Whilst they golfed, we enjoyed some beautiful walks through the extensive National Trust forests and along the sea cliffs. Although there were plenty of marvellous places to dine, the Tudor’s kitchen was so well-equipped that we decided to enjoy some of the locally-purchased fresh crabs and fish and cook for ourselves. There was so much to see and do that we cannot wait for another opportunity to get back there!! We cannot praise the Tudors highly enough.

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a wonderful review. It is so encouraging to know that as new members of Owners Direct we must be doing something right! We have set the house up to accommodate OUR needs in the hope that it would meet our guests expectations, and his seems to be the case. As non golfers we hadn't realised the proximity to good Courses that the The Tudors offers so thank you so much for pointing this added attraction out to us.We would welcome you back. Sandra

Our stay at The Tudors

  • 5 of 5

It was a last minute decision to go away for the week and what a result it was to find The Tudors!

The place was clean and very welcoming, a real home from home. It was in such a great position only being 5ooish metres from the sea, which you can see from the front bedrooms.

We visited many places while we were there......Holkham Hall, Fairhaven Gardens, Norwich by train, Blakeney, Cley Next the Sea, Wells Next the Sea among a few. We didn't see a lot of North Norfolk so would definitely think of going and staying again. The house is near to some lovely walks too, which suited us perfectly as we took our very elderly dog! We ate in Cromer which had a great Pizza/Pasta place.

We would have written this all in a visitors book but unfortunately there wasn't one when we were there.

Owner's Response: This family were our first visitors from Owners Direct. What a review! We love it but this review has given me confidence that the house and location are what holiday makers are looking for.The family left the house spoyless and we would welcome them again with open arms. I will leave a visitors book out for future guests and I appreciate any tips visitors can give.

There is so much to do locally. If you are a bird watcher it is paradise. There are boat trips out to see the seals, the steam train in Sheringham (5min drive) and the wonderful seaside town of Cromer with its famed pier, childrens funfair, playgrounds, and mini also 5 mins away. We have 2 golf courses one in Sheringham and the other just behind the house. We are blessed with an abundance of good places to eat from the local pub in the village to Galton Blakiston's Michelin starred Morston Hall. Holkham Hall, Felbrig and the Broads are easily accessible.
