Just back from our 4th "great stay"

  • 5 of 5

We've just returned from our 4th stay at Corner Cottage, and yet again we've had a great holiday, we love Corner Cottage for a whole number of reasons, it has a charming cottage feeling, it's very clean and tidy, and very spacious, the kitchen and dining room are very well equipped, it's like being at home, everything is there for you, even down to lovely tableware, there is a downstairs toilet and a study, the lounge is large, and has sky TV including sky sports !! the french doors lead into the garden, we particularly love this garden as we take our dog on holiday with us, the garden is large and 100% escape proof for the dog, there is a decking area and a BBQ too, upstairs has 3 double rooms, and the bathroom with a nice shower cubical, all rooms are very well decorated with lovely fresh white bedding, and the views from the master bedroom are stunning,

The cottage is on the edge of some fields which lead to the cost path, so you get the feel of a country and seaside retreat all in one, the cost path is a great, and it's a must to take the walk into St Ives, you might even spot seals or dolphins.

I would highly recommend Corner Cottage to couples with a dog (like us) and for families of all ages and sizes, it really does suit all.

We even stayed there last xmas, and was greeted with a festive welcome pack, and a fully decorated xmas tree.

We will be back for visit number 5 again soon.

Beautiful, comfortable house in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

The house is very beautiful, spacious and offers all amenities and comforts you could wish for. It is very tastefully decorated to a consistently high standard. We found it very clean and welcoming. Both the owner and the agent offered perfect support. Even when we had a major technical problem with our car they were able to recommend a garage that took care of it at once. The location offers a perfect mix. Walking time to St. Ives harbour, Porthmeor Beach and the coast path including seal-watching in some 15 mins each. And there's buses running up and down the hill, too. The house is perfectly quiet, sitting on the outer edge of a beautiful, green little neighborhood at the end of a very narrow lane. The backyard is also lovely, very private with a little lookout into the countryside. Ideal for a bbq or just relaxing. We had a fantastic time and will be back before long.

A wonderful private St Ives cottage

  • 4 of 5

Corner cottage is a beautiful and well equipped cottage tucked away on the very outskirts of St Ives. It feels private and tranquil whilst being able to walk to the pubs and restaurants in town. It's a steep walk in parts - but for those who don't want the walk there seemed to be plenty of taxis available.

From the cottage it is a lovely walk across fields to the coastal path.

The cottage is nicely decorated, well furnished and has everything that's needed in the kitchen. The garden is private and has a wonderful look out point up about 5 steps - from where you can see over the fields. The garden also has a section that is part screened by a hedge with a washing line - and which would be a great area for children to play. Children would love the garden - as did we!

The beds were comfortable which is always a bonus in holiday cottages and there were even throws available for anyone who wanted to wrap themselves up whilst watching a film or having a read. Though with the gas fire they are very much an optional extra rather that a necessity!

We spent most of our time walking the coastal path between the Cape of Cornwall and just beyond Hayle. It is stunningly beautiful and varied and we love the area. As well as the coastal path, the moors are just behind the cottage and also offer walks and fantastic views. It's less than a 5 minute drive to a car park by the moors.

We would absolutely recommend the cottage and will no doubt be returning - and hopefully will get the wall to wall sunshine we enjoyed this time....

Great cottage, good location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the cottage for 5 days this summer. We had two families and 3 children in the house and felt like it was big enough for all of us.

The cottage is a charming place that was quiet, clean, and well maintained. It had a great back garden that was perfect for the kids to go out and play in.

We walked to the beaches a and the center of St. Ives a few times. It's a bit of a walk - 15-20 minutes, but coming back is a really steep hill and we didn't attempt that with small kids.

The only real down side was parking. There is an extremely narrow entrance to the drive and the house that we only attempted once! We ended up parking down the street further as it was easier for access.

Lastly, the owner, Susan was great. Highly responsive and great to deal with even though we live abroad. She even left a basket of fresh scones, clotted cream, and jam for our arrival- They were amazing too!

Overall we'd recommend the cottage highly as we had fantastic stay.

We struck Cornish gold

  • 5 of 5

Wow what a lovely cottage, a fantastic base for our holiday, after a long drive from Manchester we were welcomed with enough essentials to get us through the night and a lovely Cornish cream tea! The design & decot was stylish and homely, bedsheets and towels immaculate! The garden was a suntrap which we finished our days in with a glass of wine in the sun.it was an amazing base for our days out to visit the ĺocal attractions. The eveing meals in the local restaurants were all excellent ( you have to book early but the recommendations were spot on. The owners have thought of everything! Thank you so much Susan.

A Peaceful Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We (family with daughter and dog) have just spent a week at Corner Cottage which is situated in a very peaceful area, away from the hustle and bustle of St Ives. The cottage is very spacious with all the facilities and comforts you'd need for any length of stay. It has a lovely garden and surroundings which is great for children and dogs to go out and explore.

It's a 15 minute walk to the cliffs from the cottage (it's also worth carrying on to St Ives). There is also plenty to do and see in and around St Ives: towns, villages, beaches, cliffs, old mines, bird park, seal sanctuary, castles...

P.S. The horses in the field next door love carrots - don't bother with apples!
