This is a spacious, high quality townhouse which is located in the Vila da Praia Beach Village area of Praia D'El Rey. The townhouse has been furnished and equipped to a very high standard. It has two very large terrace balconies (one off the living area and one off the master bedroom), where you can enjoy the spectacular, uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean, beach and wonderful sunsets. The beach is only 1 minute walk away so you couldn't be any closer! There is a shared pool right beside the townhouse and two other pools within 5 minutes walk. The house has free WIFI and a Smart TV.

About Louise Carroll

Hello there! We are a family of four based in Ireland. We have enjoyed coming to this part of Portugal for the past ten years and purchased our townhouse in 2008. With two small children we unfortunately don't get to play much golf (!) but we find there is an abundance of activities and things to do in the area. It's a real chill out holiday and we enjoy nothing better than having a glass of wine on the balcony watching the fantastic sunsets and listening to the sound of the ocean.

Our reasons for buying here were pretty simple. We wanted somewhere that was quiet, not as touristy or as hot as the Algarve and somewhere beside the sea. We have got all this and much more.

What makes this house unique

We really believe we have one of the best locations in the resort. We are so close to the beach and the views are truly stunning. The house is really comfortable and if you like to cook, we have equipped the kitchen with every cooking utensil we could think of! We are very fortunate in this part of the resort in that we are only one minute walk away from the Villa da Praia Square where you will find Mare which is a very good seafood restaurant with welcoming staff and great views of the ocean. In the square you will also find the grocery store and Kids/Adventure Club We never tire of coming to Praia D'El Rey and really love it here. We hope you will too!

Notes on accommodation: This house enjoys a prime location right next to the beach. It is spacious and has gas central heating and instant hot water. Secure underground car parking space is provided. A travel cot and high chair are available so please request these when booking. No smoking inside the house and no pets please. Outside: The house has two large balcony terraces furnished with hammock, dining table, chairs and sun loungers. There is also a very private communal garden. The shared swimming pool is right beside the property. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All towels (including beach towels) and bed linen provided. The property is cleaned and beds prepared before your arrival. Additional cleaning and linen/towel change is provided for stays greater than 7 days. Other: To make the most of the stunning sea views, this house has been designed in such a way that the living area is upstairs and the sleeping area is downstairs. There is an additional WC/hand basin off the living room.

Beautiful townhouse in outstanding location

This is a really beautiful, comfortable townhouse overlooking the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and found everything we wanted to be provided.

There is a small swimming pool just a few steps away in one direction and the beach is just a similar distance in the other direction; however, this pool is probably most appropriate for a short dip or for children as it is quite small and shallow.

The townhouse is spacious and well-equipped and the kitchen allowed us to cook some nice meals when not eating out at very reasonably priced restaurants in the area. We spent quite a bit of time in Peniche and we enjoyed discovering the beaches at Balea and Supertubos.

The resort itself is lovely and well maintained but a car is essential as it is several kilometres to the village.

The owner's agent on site looked after us really well during our stay and the welcome pack was excellent value.

We would really recommend a visit to this townhouse and hope to return again soon.

Lovely Portugal

Just spent 2 fab weeks in this lovely apartment. Accommodation was superb very spacious, comfortable and very well serviced. Pool a few steps away and beach 2 minute walk. The balconies were beautiful and enjoyed many sunsets. Lovely area and we did lots of touring. Have a 16 year old and 11yr old with us they enjoyed the pool and the beach and of course the WiFi and smart TV. Look forward to our next trip.

Fantastic location for first Silver Coast holiday

Myself, my husband and 2 kids had an absolutely amazing holiday based in this fabulous townhouse. It is situated right on the most beautiful beach and the house itself has spectacular views from both of the very sizeable terraces. The kids adored the huge hammock on the downstairs terrace! We were brought directly to the townhouse by Priscilla upon check in, rather than being left to find our own way, and anything additional we requested was provided without question. I would most definitely recommend this place, a fantastic setting to recharge the batteries. There is a beautiful restaurant, practically next door, and we had almost exclusive use of the pool which is also literally 5 steps from the house. We'll definitely be back, delighted to have found this little gem!!

Fabulous family holiday!

Myself husband and 3 boys stayed in this beautiful townhouse for 2 weeks.

It was very spacious & comfortable.

WiFi was excellent. ( very important for teenagers!!)

Amazing views from the balcony.

Beach & pool ideally located from the house. Enjoyed excellent golf.

Also very good restaurant a minutes walk from the house.

Lots of lovely places to visit on the silver coast. Would definitely recommend it & hopefully will return.

Myself, husband & 3 boys had a terrific holiday. The house is very spacious & comfortable. Gorgeous views from the balcony! Surrounded by excellent golf courses. Also enjoyed really good food in Argento right beside the house. Perfect WiFi very important for teenagers!!

Perfect end

My husband and I ended our trip to Portugal with a stay on the Silver Coast. Renting the beautiful townhouse on the beach was a perfect ending to our vacation. Sunsets were lovely, yoga on the beach daily, pool so near - it was just right for total relaxation before coming back home to the States. We will be back.

This property is one of the closest to the beach that you will find in the resort. You will be on the beach in less than a one minute walk. The beach stretches for miles and even in peak season is never busy or overcrowded. There are several other beaches in the area such as the award winning surfing beaches of Baleal/Peniche/Foz.


Praia D'El Rey is a one hour drive on the motorway from Lisbon Airport. Porto is a 2.5 hr drive and Faro is 3-4 hrs. Car hire is advisable. Full directions to the property are provided.


Serra D'El Rei and Obidos lagoon, 5 minute drive. Obidos and Peniche, 10km. Baleal, 7 km. Foz da Arello, 20km. Caldas da Rainha, 30 mins drive. Sintra, Cascais, Estoril and Fatima approx. 1 hr drive. Vineyards of the region, 10-30km. There are ten 18 hole golf courses within an hour's drive.

Further Details:

There is a grocery shop and restaurant right beside the house. There are several supermarkets and restaurants in the towns close by. Obidos Lagoon is only a 5 min drive and several other beaches such as the award winning surfing beaches of Baleal/Peniche/Foz are all nearby. The Berlengas Islands nature reserve can be visited by boat from Peniche and are an ideal location for scuba diving. There is a wide variety of activities such as water sports, bike rental, go karting, bowling etc. There is a sailing school in Foz. There is also a tennis academy within the resort with 7 tennis courts. The medieval town of Obidos is well worth a visit with its medieval festival in July, Opera in August and a chocolate festival in the Spring. Caldas da Rainha is 30 mins away and has lovely shops and a great farmers market every day. Lisbon is only an hour's drive. This area is also one of the major wine producing areas of Portugal and wine caves and vineyards are only 10-30km away. The 5 star Marriott hotel has 3 restaurants and a very good spa and is an easy walk along the beach. There is also a courtesy shuttle bus available in the resort which will bring you to/from the clubhouse, tennis club and hotel. There is a restaurant and bar food available at the clubhouse. During the summer months there is an adventure club for kids and adults which runs activities such as surfing lessons, football, paint balling, tennis etc. Free WiFi is available in the property. This area is very different to the Algarve. It is much less touristy and being on the Atlantic Ocean, does not have the extreme heat experienced in the Algarve during the summer months. If bars and nightclubs are your thing, then this place is not for you! However if you are looking for a relaxing, beach based holiday with a wide range of other amenities, then look no further!

25% non refundable deposit at time of booking. Balance plus a damage deposit of €200 (which is refunded by bank transfer subject to no damage and only reasonable laundry/cleaning being incurred) payable 8 weeks prior to arrival date. For bookings over 4 people there is a surcharge of €10 per person per night for the 5th and 6th person.

Changeover Day:
Our preferred changeover day during peak season is Saturday but please contact us and we will be as flexible as possible. Normal check in time is 3 p.m. and checkout is 10 am.
