Living/Dining room with gasfired logfireplace, contemporary dining table seating for six, Flat screen Sat TV/Video/DVD/Playstation 2 and Music centre. Enjoy the sun all day from the private back garden boasting truly stunning sea and mountain views or poolside right outside your front door (see photo gallery). Al Fresco dining tables are provided both front (seats 4) and back (seats 6) to watch the lights/sun come up on the coastline. Within a small charming community of only 15 properties is also an attractive shared private gated pretty front garden.

Notes on accommodation: Sea views, mountain view, pool views, garden view. Airconditioning, heating. Pets not allowed, no smoking. English speaking representative to answer any questions. Pre book a grocery pack. To sleep six requires use of sofa bed. Outside: In built BBQ in back garden and mini fountain. Allocated private parking. The back garden has a dining patio and sun terrace that looks out onto truly stunning views - the Mijas mountains to the left and the sea to the right. The whole of the coastline up to Torremolinos can be enjoyed especially beautiful at sunrise/sunset (as photo). The front garden has its own sundeck also with a dining area that seats 4 overlooking the swimming pool. 2 sunbeds are provided front and back plus two large comfortable sun cushions. There is also a larger swimming pool, just a walk around the corner which can be used by residents for a nominal fee for those who wish to do serious lengths! There is a convenience store, several restaurants/bars and tourist information centre close to the parking facility. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen provided, towels provided.

We area about to book our third visit to this delightful villa. It is in a great location and excellent facilities.

When we arrived the place was spotless. As we live in a Victorian house we appreciated the character and the style of the villa which reflected the area in which it sits rather than a bleak modern minimalist place.

We particularly liked how quiet the residential area was - the shared garden at the front with the pool and the private garden at the back were places we could sit in the sun and read and relax. A short walk away are two pleasant bars and a long walk, or a short drive, is Fueningola with all the shops and bars you could wish for.

The listing for the property is inaccurate.The property is very tired.The furniture is old and distinctly grubby.The Flat screen tv is the smallest cheapest one I have ever seen.We had to dust the wardrobes before we could hang our clothes.The table cloth had to be washed before use,and when removed,the table was covered in crumbs.We were asked to leave the kitchen in pristine condition as we found it, tthis is strange as the fridge door was damaged and peeling,and the washing machine door was found laid under the bed!In my opinion,the place requires complete redecoration and refit to command the asking price for the rental.I have a photo file to back up my findings.

Owner's Response: Dear John, Such a shame you didn't come to us with these issues so that we could have tried to put them right for you at the time. The property is an older one, which is part of the uniqueness of it. It's styled to reflect a rustic Spanish character, so neither built nor furnished to compete stylistically with a contemporary block apartment, which usually have none of special features of this place. Nevertheless, the upkeep is comparable. Both interior and exterior are painted regularly & it has fully fitted modern kitchen and bathrooms. With regard to linen & upholstery; the furniture upholstery is deep cleaned after every summer season. As your stay was end of season it's possible that the upholstery may have benefited from this. However, the apartment is prepared with fully laundered throws for every piece of furniture for every single stay. This is done to protect the furniture from sun creams and oils; it also assures that seating is clean & attractive for every guest. A stained tablecloth is unacceptable and we have plenty of replacement linen had you asked. Regarding the fridge door - unfortunately a previous guest used the wrong cleaning product that damaged the finish of the door. The box that you found under the bed was temporarily storing a replacement fridge door that has since been fitted to address the damage. We apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused! Regarding the television, the size of screen and set quality has been considered adequate for the room and we are sorry that it wasn't to your liking. Most of your negative comments refer to the standard of House Keeping. The accommodation is maintained to provide a high standard, which is usually appreciated by our guests. We are fortunate to have an onsite House Keeper therefore if for some reason the standard of House Keeping was in any way compromised you had only to communicate this as soon as you discovered it and we would have gladly rectified the issues; if a dusty wardrobe, or crumbs found under the tablecloth on the glass dining room table were a problem we would have taken this up with our House Keeper immediately & addressed the matter. It's rare to find a self contained bungalow with private back garden equipped for dining boasting stunning sea views, local beach just a short walk and a pool also with dining outside the front door. These facilities are usually reserved for villas costing considerably more in budget; on balance the rates offer value for money.
