Lovely, peaceful, comfortable gite

  • 5 of 5

Ray and Sandra were very welcoming and good hosts. They respected our privacy but when we needed information on the area they were very helpful - even giving us tips of where to park in St Malo. The cottage is spotlessly clean and I echo previous reviewers - the bed is certainly very comfortable. It is very peaceful and all you can hear in the garden is birdsong. You need a car to drive to places - there are beautiful beaches in about a 45 minute drive but most things we wanted to see took about an hour. There are lots of lovely French markets and places to visit locally.

We would highly recommend this gite.

Great accommodation whatever the weather!

  • 5 of 5

This property was nicely furnished and well equipped with the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on in any place (and there have been many) we have stayed. Changeable weather meant that we had to spend quite a bit of time indoors but the gite is well suited for any weather. Although Sandra and Ray were away during our stay we were well looked after by their friends who were extremely kind and helpful when my husband had to visit a doctor.

We felt we had excellent value for money and would be happy to return.

Friendly welcome from Ray and Sandra - very well presented comfortable accommodation. Wonderful views, in delightful area for access to local interesting villages and further afield Bayeux and beaches. Good restaurants, also for walking and cycling. Would definitely recommend.

Perfect little hideaway....idyllic

  • 5 of 5

Wanted hideaway but also within easy reach of attractions .. this nailed it 100%

A home from home with ALL mod cons, a great bed and immaculate internally.

Add in excellent fast Wi-Fi and extensive library of books, DVDs and videos and beautiful outlook and we were reluctant to venture out some days.

Owners next door yet invisible and there if required... we will go back!!

Great little gite

  • 5 of 5

Had a week here at the end of April. Weather wasn't the best but the gite was very comfortable and cosy. Ray and Sandra were great hosts and we had a great time although the wifi died on our second day over the local area. Rural location with great views. Highly recommended

Owner's Response: Thank you for your very kind comments of the comfort and quality of the Gite. Unfortunately due to local work on the telephone lines being upgraded in the area to fibre optics thus giving a superb internet system in the future, it was unfortunate that this happened during your visit and was out of our control do hope to see you in the future.
