Why Per Nyqvist chose Lagos region

Lovely place, nice weather, nice people. You can both enjoy a quiet night as you are located on the outskirts of the town but within a 400 m walk reach a number of restaurants, bars and one well assorted supermarket, Spar, within 500 m with a manual serviced meat assortment for the evening barbecue.

Although the owner is not British, you can pay for the property with GBP to a local UK account as a local transfer without any charges to your account. This is the cheapest way to pay without any commision or fees.

What makes this villa unique

You can relax here without any musts. Not many properties in the Algarve that are let out have a panorama view of the Atlantic from the balcony. A nice glass of vintage Port when the sun sets is a lovely memory to take home.

A/C inverter is available in the master bedroom although the Atlantic breeze is more pleasant and environmental. Outside: The patio is located towards south with a nice sea view, dining furniture, barbecue, sun chairs, all on beautiful terracotta tiles. Utility Room: Vacuum cleaner, TV, Satellite-dish, various channels, internet and decoder. Internet speed 12 Mb/s with wifirouter with complete coverage. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen is included. Final cleaning is done by a maid service and charged with 50 Pounds. Other: The property has a garage for keeping the car out of the sun. The patio has a dinner table and six chairs along with sun chairs, barbecue and two parasols.

Fantastic villa, the whole family loved it there. Spotlessly clean and very spacious and a high standard of furnishing. Couldn't fault it. Best location for all the lovely places in Luz within walking distance. 5 star brilliant!

Underbar bostad. Allt som behövs i ett hem finns. Kort promenad till affärer och strand. Våra hundar älskade morgonpromenad med andra hundar på stranden. Härliga promenadstråk efter kusten. Bostaden var i perfekt skick och mycket ren. Skönt med egen pool. Återkommer mer än gärna. Rekommenderar denna bostad varmt.

My family and I had a lovely time in your villa. It was very clean and airy from the sea freeze with good size bedrooms. The location was perfect, only a short walk to the shops and restaurants. A map detailing how to walk to the centre and short cut to the local supermarket at the top of the hill would be useful if like us you don't hire a car. We did have a couple of small problems at the beginning but Pam was available immediately to come round and sort it out for us. I would highly recommend the villa to a friend or relative.

Splendid stay close to sea in quiet neighbourhood

Welcoming atmosphere, clean and modern. Towels folded neatly on the made beds for all the visitors. Good with the supplies for a nice start. Great pool that the kids loved and to cool off after a morning run. Nice sea view from all terrazzes and the balcony. Combined the luxury of a hotel with the comfort of a private home.

Just a short walk to the beach "Praia de Luz " and the town centre with shops and restaurants.

Good written information about the house and the stores and restaurants in Luz.

Excellent with free Wi-Fi, Sat-TV and computer equipped with printer.

Quiet neighbourhood with no passing traffic.

Overall a great stay for our family with hopes to return. We will definitely recommend it to our friends.

Bicycle can be let out. Fishing trips can be rented from Lagos and also diving trips.


The closest is a stone beach 200 m away. Another 500 m there is a nice sandy beach and another 300 m there is the kilometer long famous Luz beach. As the autumn is long and warm, agreeable swimming temperature upto november.


Faro airport is 80 km away and can be reached by bus or rental car. You can also take the train to Lagos and a bus from there, 7 km. Private pickup can be arranged by car from airport to the house for four people at 85 Euros. Shuttleservice is also possible, door to door, reasonbly priced at around GBP 16 GBP pp one way.


Southwest corner of Europe, Sagres 20 km. Seville 250 km. Lisbon 280 km. Stockholm 3800 km.

Further Details:

Luz has excellent fish restaurants and good super markets. Lagos , 7 km away, can provide most of the European discounters, Lidl, Euromarches and Aldis.
