Full of character, well equipped, relaxed

  • 5 of 5

Our whole family loved it here. The pool was great and everyone felt completely at home and relaxed. Tracy and her family were incredibly helpful and very welcoming. There is loads to do in the surrounding area - canoeing, night markets for lovely local food, treepark for the kids. But relaxing by the pool with a movie in the evening was just as fun. You can do as little or as much as you want to. We would love to come back!

Paradise in the SW of France

  • 5 of 5

We have spent holidays in the South West of France for over 20 years now and we have to rate this property as one of the best. The location was absolutely perfect; beautiful views and many different places to sit and sip wine and we loved being entertained by the family of red squirrels or the family's dogs (an optional facility - we'd recommend it!). The family was discretely on hand in case we had required any additional items (we did not, of course!), however we chose to chat to our lovely hosts and really enjoyed their company. The super little bastide was within walking distance and had various lovely eateries, and atmospheric places to have an aperitif and watch the world go by. This area has so many interesting and beautiful sites to visit for visitors of all ages, yet the gite offers great entertainment such as table tennis, boules, volley ball, trampoling and more, so if you need to recharge your batteries whilst keeping everybody happy, this is for you. Oh, and of course, what a beautiful, private pool to escape the heat. Would we recommend this property to others? Absolutely, however let us book again first...

A wonderful experience

  • 5 of 5

We had never visited this part of France before and were quickly enchanted by it's villages and countryside. The gite where we stayed was lovely, surrounded by gardens and 'play' areas. We stayed in the smaller of the gites and were happy with everything we found. The pool is great, we have two young children who would have been in it 24/7 if it wasn't for the towns, villages and castles that we chose to visit during our two week stay.

Tracy and her parents were super friendly to us, and nothing was any trouble. We really appreciated the quietness of the place and were sad to leave.

We are really looking forward to coming back next June.

Would definitely recommend. :)

Holiday Paradise

  • 5 of 5

This was our seventh stay at these wonderful gites,so I think that says it all.

Our family of four including two young children have holidayed all over France but as soon as we found the gites, that was it and now we are hooked.

They are so quiet and secluded and are so child friendly. The pool is incredible with its own oak pavilion which is perfect for escaping the sun when it gets too hot.The gites are really cool inside and are absolutely spotless.

The village is a 10 minute stroll down the lane and is beautiful.

There are some beautiful attractions round about and canoeing down the dordogne is a must.Tracy and her family are so helpful and live just down the hill so are on hand if you need anything.

Overall I can't rate this place any higher,so give this place a try and I promise you'll get hooked just like we did...see you soon Tracy!!

A wonderful stay

  • 5 of 5

The accommodation was perfect, with everything that you would need, it was very clean and very comfortable. The area offered many attractions and we spent time at the night markets, swimming in the river and hours in the pool! We could easily of spent more time here and we would definitely recommend this gite to others and do hope to return. The hosts were welcoming, informative and on hand if needed. A lovely holiday! Perfect family holiday

  • 5 of 5

August 2012

This review is really late but we've only just become aware of Tripadvisor! Four years ago our family and friends had the most wonderful summer holiday in these gites. There were 16 of us all together and the family who own the buildings were incredibly welcoming and friendly, as were their two dogs Ty and Lara, who would just wander into out gites and fall asleep - all of our kids loved them! We had our own pool, which the kids (and adults!) had hours of fun in. The location and the gites were stunning. Hope all of the family are well! We hope to come back one day in the not too distant future.
