ust returned from a wonderful 10 day stay at your stunning villa. It really was picture perfect in every way.

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and what a surprise to meet up with Tamer again who we knew from a previous holiday in Kalken. He took care of our every need not that we had many as your villa provided comfort, coastline and cocktails under the umbrella of 35 degrees of sun every day.

The studio apartment downstairs was perfect for my son and his girlfriend and everyone loved the comfort of your BEDS. It's worth coming back just to sleep on them again! Charles and Ria Townsend Stevenage July 2014

A stunning villa in a quite superb location, fantastic bedrooms and bathrooms, lounge and kitchen area faultless, outside area just perfect, I've been looking at villas in kalkan for the past five years and in my opinion you would not find a villa offering what this one does in this price anywhere in kalkan or Kalamar, just a great holiday in a great place!!!!.

The villa was very clean and tastefully decorated excellent bathrooms and comfy beds.

Great layout and fabulous views.

There are plenty of nice restaurants, cafe/bars to choose from. Kalkan is a nice place to visit for all ages. The villa is in a perfect location for a truly relaxing holiday.

Perfection in glorious Kalkan

The property is beautifully kept, modern in design, light and airy. The views from the balconies and deck are stunning and we found it a very quiet area of Kalkan when we were there. The pool was maintained every morning and fresh bread left for breakfast - a lovely touch. A lovely base for a wonderful Kalkan holiday and just a short taxi ride into town (less than 20 TL each way), although we walked in and back and it only takes 25 minutes each way if you fancy it. The stand alone apartment was ideal for our daughter and her boyfriend and the villa accommodated our party of 6 (including my 90 year old very fit mother in law) perfectly. We would highly recommend and hope to return

Absolutely fantastic Villa.Appointed to a very high standard in every room.Outside area very spacious with great sun beds,patio furniture and huge,much needed parasols for when it gets too hot.! The infinity pool is beautiful and a lovely temperature (cool enough to refresh you)

Kept immaculately clean throughout.We even had fresh bread delivered every morning and a guy who fetched all our food and drink to order(delivered within 20 mins,amazing.)

Located 25 mins walk into Kalkan,very hilly 1st 150 meters,but a pleasant walk with several bars and restaurants enrolee all of which were fantastic.

There are lots of "stray"territorial dogs,which are cared for locally and are fine,but could be a little disconcerting if you are dog nervous.

House Cafe is a must 5 mins away and the food in Kulube Hotel,also very good and they welcome your custom and you can visit in the day too.

If you don't fancy walking into Kalkan the taxis are at your beck and call and only 15TL.

Kalkan is full of fantastic restaurants,we never had a bad meal and ate out every night.(8 of us)Many of which are on the roof tops as are some lovely bars.

Overall and absolutely fab holiday in a fab villa.

OMG! What a vista.

A glorious 10 night stay at Villa Gelidonya. Spacious, clean and well presented. All rooms have luxurious white leather beds with super comfortable matresses. Best nights sleep I have had in years. The infinity pool and terraces are spacious with views to die for. The gas bbq was well used by us but it would have been useful to have a microwave for quick convenience reheating and snacks.

Kalamar bay is just on the outskirts of Kalkan and we personally preferred the location to central Kalkan. As the area is incredibly hilly we would recommend a car. Good restaurants are bountiful in Kalkan but if you wanted to stay more local, Cafe Vita and the Elixir hotel are good choices. The weather was fantastic for the whole of our stay with daytime temperatures of 32 degrees + dropping to around

17 degrees in the evening with a refreshingly cool mountain breeze. The perfect climate.

All in all we would highly recommend this property and will definitely be staying here again. A huge thank you to Alex and Terry the property owners for allowing us to use their beautiful holiday home.

We love this location with views to Mouse and Snake Islands and great for the beach club and local amenities yet in a quiet and tranquil part of Kalkan.

Coast/Beach:

The Kalamar Beach Club is 300m from the villa. Kalube Hotel with its' gardens stretching to the sea is 150m away. Kaputas Beach is a short drive towards Kas, or a dolmus ride from the from the bus station. There are also more beach clubs dotted around Kalkan Bay, with complementary water taxis from the harbour. Just 15 minutes by car or dolmus is the 20km golden beach of Patara with its ancient city complete with the amphitheatre, senate house and the old Main Street and forum.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Dalaman (about 150 km). Transfer time is about 90 minutes. A visa is required for Turkey which can only be bought electronically on line. We can arrange airport transfers for you, and car hire if required. However, it is not necessary to hire a car in Kalkan, and taxis are plentiful, but if you want to visit the beach of Patara, and some of the cultural sites, or travel a bit further afield, then it is good to have, and there is parking at at the villa.

Distances:

Kalkan town centre - approx 20 mins walk - 2 minutes drive.

Kas - 20 km or 20 minute drive

Patara Beach - 15 km or 15 minutes drive

Further Details:

There are ample opportunities for swimming and snorkelling all within a 2 minute walk of Villa Gelidonya: the Kalamar Bay free beach; the Hotel Kalube's gorgeous gardens that lead down to the sea - loungers are available free of charge and there's a super shaded rustic beach bar and cafe and also the Kalamar Beach Club (small charge). The dive centre is here together with banana rides, swimming platform etc. Kalkan has a beautiful harbour with a marina and beach and is often described as Turkey's best kept secret. It is a small, sophisticated resort on the Turkish Riviera and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. Colourful cobbled streets,harbour side restaurants and an eclectic mix of shops combine to make it a charming place to take a holiday. There are plenty of supermarkets, banks, chemists, boutiques, a post office and shops selling everything you could wish for from leather goods, jewellery, Turkish carpets to lots of local produce. The butcher and fish stalls offer amazing value

The butcher and fish stalls offer amazing value and can tempt even reluctant chefs to experiment. Kalkan becomes quite magical at night and there are many restaurants to choose - from the sophisticated to the charming and simple. A roof top dining experience overlooking the harbour with its twinkling lights shouldn't be missed - it is surreal!

At ground level is the garage, then up a flight of stairs leads to: Games room with table tennis table, and Bedroom 4 (double en-suite with kitchenette) above the garage with it's own entrance. The steps then lead to the main entrance, with the open plan kitchen, dining room and living room and cloakroom. Inside leading from the living room via a spiral staircase, up to the second floor to Bedroom 2 and 3 ( 1 double en-suite and 1 twin en-suite). Leading up from the second floor to Bedroom 1 - double en-suite with roof terrace, with seating.
