An easy walk to Theatre Brycheiniog Brecon Theatre located beside the Canal Basin and has a full programme throughout the year. you will also find canal boat trips or even hire a picnic boat to have a lazy few hours relaxing on the canal.
The apartment has a 32" flat screen TV. The tumble dryer is being replaced by a dishwasher at the end of April 2017. Nobody wants to do washing up on holiday.
The apartment is popular with walkers who come to climb Penyfan mountain, also Wedding guests or friends visiting family but want their own front door key too. The apartment is used regularly for people working in the area as a great base with privacy of own front door.
We now have a new Wetherspoons in Brecon which serves a hearty cooked breakfast from early morning , plus fantastic local independent cafes in town or in nearby villages. We can give you ideas of where to eat or go whilst staying plus details in the apartment.
We bought Llwyn Llwyd Farm in Aberyscir Brecon in 2002 and brought down to Wales our family from Watford in Hertfordshire with anticipation and excitement. We have never looked back. Originally from the welsh valleys, Pontypridd , I was keen to return to my roots. We are now very proud Grand parents and all 3 of our grown up children live nearby. Ian is a self employed Accountant and works from home and I am a qualified Nurse and work in the local hospital part time. Our dream was always to own and run holiday cottages and we are so excited to have welcomed our first guests in the summer of 2012 in both Llwyn Llwyd Cottage and No 6 Boleyn House.Since then we have added March cottage a 3 bedroomed terraced cottage just a few minutes walk from the apartment.
In 2013 @HolidayinBrecon was chosen by Theo Paphitis as an awarding winning business in his #SBS Small Business Sunday Twitter support network and have attended his #SBSevent to meet him each year. Since then we have won recognision as #Queenof Brecon Cottages and #SmartSocial.

We already own holiday cottages just outside Brecon and felt there was a need for simple self catering accommodation within the town. Great for couples and walkers and also suitable for short term rental to people working in the town. Free unlimited Wifi. No 6 Boleyn House can compliment our other accommodation nearby March Cottage which sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms.
Located within Brecon town and is one of the closest self catering lets to town and therefore you can leave the car and enjoy the surrounding town and mountains on foot if you choose. We allow 2 dogs which many hotels and guest houses do not. No 6 Boleyn house also benefits from being self contained so ideal for a self catering short break and not be tied to meal times. Travel cot, highchair available free of charge on request.

Warm and cosy ground floor apartment, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortably furnished. I stayed with three dogs and the secure courtyard at the back was great for them to potter about in first thing in the morning.
Lise met us with the keys, despite me being a little late arriving, and was very helpful and welcoming. Although there is no parking at the apartment, loading and unloading the car at the door was no problem and I parked for free a couple of minutes walk away across the river.
We enjoyed plenty of walking in the Beacons and the Elan Valley but still ran out of time to explore everything around Brecon. Hopefully we can come back before too long...
Lovely welcome pack - cake, wine and flowers - and a lovely welcome from Lise. The flat is very close to the river and all town amenities (I can certainly recommend the Brecon Tap for a pie and a pint). Very clean accommodation, and Lise even offered a fleece for the dogs if they wanted to 'rest' on the other sofa. Plenty of residential free parking a few minutes away so we weren't charged for leaving the car behind whilst we explored the stunningly beautiful countryside. Lots of info in the flat as to where to roam, too. We had a great break here.
We had a lovely weekend and a warm welcome at Lise's apartment which was cosy, clean and central. Thanks for the wine, welsh cakes and flowers, a lovely touch and also tea, coffee and milk in the kitchen. We will definitely stay with Lise again. 😀
Nice, clean apartment set up with everything you need for a short break. Good location to explore Brecon and the countryside.
I lived in Boleyn House for five weeks while completing my PhD thesis between July and August 2015. This wonderful Brecon bolthole was the perfect place in which to get intensive, brain-draining writing done. It was roomy and yet still cosy, very well equipped but minimum maintenance, central to everything in town yet still mostly quiet. Lis and Ian were wonderful hosts and kept the property in fantastically clean and stylish for our arrival. They met us at the bus station, gave us a comprehensive run-down on what activities and facilities were available in Brecon. And even provided Welsh cakes and wine too! The kitchen is always my engine room and the one at Boleyn House did not disappoint. The gas stove top and oven were fabulous for cooking and baking. The bathroom was well appointed with a lovely deep bath, excellent shower rose, and a terrific reliable hot water system. We had course to use the heater on one or two cold nights and it worked a treat. We will be back, but in the meantime can heartily recommend Boleyn House as the perfect pied-a-terre in the heart of Brecon.
A lovely friendly welcome with welsh cakes a bottle of wine fresh flowers and even milk in the fridge a nice touch .A very comfortable clean apartment ideal location to shops pubs and canal walks. The courtyard was great for the dogs.Although parking outside is limited we were lucky enough to find a space and there is a car park across the road .
