4 Bedroom Chalet with mountain views, close to skiing and mountain biking via Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets and Grande Terche. Nr. Lakes Geneva & Montriond

A detached 4 bedroomed chalet on 3 levels with large bathroom and additional separate WC. Well appointed, comfortable open plan living and dining area with woodburning stove. Located within easy access of the vast Portes du Soleil ski area in a small hamlet adjacent to the village of Le Biot, with its bar/restaurant/pizzeria, bakery and fromagerie. Superb location for winter or summer holidays.

5 minutes drive to St Jean D'Aulpes with large Carrefour supermarket and restaurants.

15 minutes drive to Morzine.

15 minutes to the Grande Terche.

20 minutes to Ardent. 20+ minutes to Les Gets, 30 minutes to Thonon, Evian and Lake Geneva.

Around 1 hour from Geneva Airport.

Excellent area for both summer and winter activities, including skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking, white water rafting, swimming, climbing and of course eating!

About David and Justine Page

We are a family of four from East Anglia. We enjoy being outdoors, skiing, walking and cycling. Our oldest son is at university and our daughter is at senior school. One day we hope to have time to explore more of Europe from our base in France.

Why David and Justine Page chose Portes du Soleil area

For many years we have discussed buying a property in France, and having visited this area for a number of years with our family and friends, decided that it offered the perfect location for summer and winter holidays. We have tried to make sure that the property is comfortable and provides good value for money.

What makes this chalet unique

The property offers tranquillity, your own space and flexibility to come and go as you please. There is never an issue with parking as we have space for 4 cars on the drive. The roads are ploughed and cleared regularly. With the convenience of your own transport, there is no waiting around in the cold for buses!

it was so well equipped too. The weather wasn't great but we managed to do

lots and eat too much!

Outside: There is a large, sunny garden with patio area and sun awning. There is outdoor seating for 4 people, plus 2 deckchairs. A Weber bbq is available for use. There are some sledging toys in the garage (the garden is on a slope). The property has its own driveway and backs onto pasture. The garden is not overlooked and is well maintained. Utility Room: Washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and towels included, changed weekly. Other: Dining area with seating for up to 8 people. Garage with storage for skis and boots. Spiral staircase.

wonderful chalet with great views

Our family of four including two young adult children enjoyed a short ski break at Chalet d'Alpage. Although a little out of the way for skiing, the short drives were well worth it. The chalet was clean, very comfortable, home from home, and very well equipped for self catering. There was also a massive selection of family dvds. The power shower was great and it was lovely to have a bath too. The setting is beautiful and the views are stunning. It was an easy traffic free 20 minute drive to the Ardent ski lift for Avoriaz ski area, where the parking is free and there were enough spaces even in busy February half term. It was a great way of avoiding the lift queues full of school children in Morzine. Ski hire and storage was also easy at Ardents Sports at the lift. Communication from the owners was excellent both during the booking process and our arrival when we needed the directions again! We would love to return.

Lovely Holiday and good chalet

We had a great time, chalet is very nice and location is spot on. We didn't want to be bang in the middle of Morzine and found this location perfect, it took us 10-15 mins in the car in the morning and had prebooked the car park, so everythign was straight forward

THe chalet was lovely, massive wooden table, tv, books etc to keep kids happy. Rooms were nice and garage for ski boots etc were handy, the only small negative for us was that the stair were circular and a bit steep which my daughter bounced down one day, but nothing major. Overall a fab chalet and one we'd like to use again if we return to Morzine

Lovely chalet in a great location with privacy

The chalet is positioned in an excellent location within the Portes du Soleil area which is excellent for mountain biking and walking. Les Gets and Morzine are easily reached by car. Lake Montroind is about 20 minutes drive and well worth a visit. The chalet is within 30 minutes drive on lake Geneva where you can visit the wonderful town on Thonon Les bains. The chalet is very well equipped and is furnished to a high standard, it has everything you need for a great holiday. We visited in July 2015 and the weather was fantastic and the villa enjoys a pleasant sunny position and has a private garden where you can enjoy the sunshine. We will certainly stay at this Chalet again next time we visit the area.

wonderful stay

The Chalet d'Alpage was wonderful. We were 6 people staying 5 nights. The place was just right for us. The very spacious kitchen- and dining area was inviting to have breakfasts and dinners at home. The kitchen is well equipped and offered everything you needed to prepare food.

The slopes of Avoriaz and Morzine were easy to reach by a 15 minutes drive.

The communication with Justine and David went smoothly so that we were well prepared when arriving in the chalet.

Dear both of you, I'd like to thank you for having let us stay in your home. We will be glad to come back at a future holiday.

Excellent Chalet Highly Recommended

This chalet is very equipped and is maintained to an excellent standard, it can easily accommodate two families and is well positioned for the mountains. The accommodation is spread over three floors, 3 bedrooms (two doubles, 1 twin) and a bathroom on the top floor, dining room kitchen, lounge and toilet on the 2nd floor with the fourth bedroom (bunk beds with a pull out if required), garage and wash-room on the ground floor. The chalet has modern TV's, DVD player's and a CD player in the lounge with a good selection of modern films and music and has SKY and WIFI installed. The chalet furnishings are really excellent and we would highly recommend this chalet for skiing or for exploring the lovely countryside. The owners of the chalet provide a first class service and provide local information to assist you in enjoying your stay. Book with confidence and enjoy the best France has to offer.
