A beautifully restored cottage

  • 5 of 5

Aunt Dora's is a beautifully and lovingly restored cottage right in the heart of Port Isaac, steps away from the harbour. Excellent kitchen, bathroom and utility facilities. The heating system was excellent and efficient but we couldn't resist lighting the fire on a few evenings to add to the ambience. Alison was so helpful at every stage of the booking and it really felt like a home from home- though I wish my home was in Port Isaac!

Perfect in every way. Would highly recommend this to everyone. Location was great, just 1 minute walk to the beach. Very clean well maintained cottage. Owner was a pleasure to deal with as well.

It was a privilege to stay there!

  • 5 of 5

Aunt Dora's is just the most beautiful cottage, brimming with history and yet fully equipped to a very high standard. It felt like home from the moment we put the key in the door. Every aspect was perfect. Yes, we carried our luggage down the hill, and back up again, but this all added to the holiday! I could have driven down but just wanted to leave the car at the top (in a rented drive, perfect also!) We soaked up every last ounce of village life in Port Isaac, Aunt Dora's being just the most perfect location for bobbing in and out. I would definitely recommend this property, it was beyond superb!!!

Beautiful cottage, great location.

  • 4 of 5

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Port Isaac. The cottage is very comfortable for four guests. It is well looked after with all necessary amenities. The location is superb with some great places to eat nearby. We loved Port Gaverne and especially the hotel which we recommend for dinner.

Lovely cottage in a great location

  • 5 of 5

The house is about 40 yards from the harbour and Outlaw's Kitchen. This immaculately clean cottage has three bedrooms but only one (upstairs) bathroom. There is a log burner in the living room although we didn't use it and a well equipped small kitchen. If you want to be right in the centre of Port Isaac then you can't do better than this location.

The only negatives are:

1. No car parking- you have to use one of the pay and display parks up the hill (£5 a day).

2. The rear yard has a set of wooden chairs and table but owing to the seagul muck and the enclosed yard it's not a great place to sit outside (we often walked the short distance to the harbour and sat with a drink there)

3. The seagulls. This is a seaside harbour location so it should come as no surprise that there are many noisy seagulls who dont seem to want to sleep much at night or early in the morning. If you're a very light sleeper, then take earplugs!

Despite the three negatives we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed a weeks stay in a lovely cottage in the amazing Port Isaac. Without doubt, we'll be back!

Aunt Dora's Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had the most wonderful week in Port Isaac staying at Aunt Doras Cottage. It was the most perfect location. Close to the beach, pub and lovely restaurants. The cottage was cosy, clean and very comfortable with everything you need. Would highly recommend this property. A magical stay with perfect sunshine all week. Will definitely return.
