Villa at San Pedro de Alcantara, Marbella, Costa del Sol, Spain - 200 Metres From The Beach

The villa is located at San Pedro Playa just a short walk from the beach in a very quiet location with adequate car parking and privacy. Shops, bars and restaurants are just a short walk and fashionable Puerto Banus is about 25 minutes walk on the new beachside promenade or five minutes by car. The house is furnished to a high standard and has marble floors throughout. There are five double bedrooms, Two bedrooms have double beds, two have twin beds and the fifth bedroom has bunks.

Three bedrooms are ensuite and the other two bedrooms share a bathroom. There is a full bath/shower in one bathroom and a half bath/shower in another, and the other two bathrooms have showers.

Location, location, location!

While a car is an added advantage a beachside location means you can stroll the 200 metres to the beach if you feel like leaving the poolside!

Shops and bars are all within walking distance and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a fridge-freezer, microwave, Bosch oven with grill and gas hob.

There is also a dishwasher, washing machine and small appliances such as a coffee-machine, kettle and toaster to make you feel at home.

There is in addition fast WiFi internet and Sky Sports + Movies along with all regular TV channels.

What makes this villa unique

The beachfront at San Pedro has a boulevard that stretches all the way to Puerto Banus and Marbella Town Centre. It has very little development apart from restaurants/bars, in contrast to other locations on the coast. Special play areas and exercise machines line the promenade and it is very beautifully planted with grass and tropical vegetation. A lovely location to enjoy an ice-cream from one of the kiosks or sit with a drink as the sun goes down behind the mountains above San Pedro.

This is a lovely relaxed villa in San Pedro – it has plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, a large lounge and dining and a sparkling pool for dips... there is a choice of cooking in a good kitchen or eating out close by... - it was amazing to stay here and we would recommend it!

If you can, we would recommend taking enough time to settle in to the Spanish pace of life– there are plenty of tourist activities nearby, but also it is a good spot to just enjoy the house and relax! Five minutes easy walk away is a town centre that mainly rests for siesta, and here you can wander the older style cobble streets to find authentic tapas bars, small businesses of all varieties, clothes and shoes, lovely local coffee or chocolate y churros cafes... The local buses are fun to take up to Marbella centre, or the other way down the coast towards Gibraltar. A waterfront promenade is two minutes walk away, and you can walk around to famous marinas and seafood restaurants by the ocean. We had a great time, thank you! 😊

Outside: The garden and private pool also includes an upper sun bathing deck and the master bedroom has a large private balcony. There is also a barbecue in the garden. The poolside dining area is a great favourite with guests. The villa comes with towels and linen but please bring your own beach towels.

lovely villa with fantastic pool and garden area

The villa was lovely and the swimming pool fantastic. We had a couple of initial niggles with the air conditioning and tv which were sorted out extremely quickly by the owner. We never did manage to work out how to get enough hot water but were having such a good time and it was so hot we weren't that bothered! The location is good, very short stroll to the beachfront and really good Sol supermarket with the centre of San Pedro an easy walk. We especially liked the Thai restaurant (villa side of the playpark in the centre of San Pedro). It is quite a long walk (about 45 minutes) to Puerto Banus, not doable for young children but ok for adults and older children and most of the way there is along the beach boardwalk.

Good idea to hire bicycles from San Pedro cost reasonable. A very good day out is to Gibraltar which can be done by public bus, tickets available from the ticket booth in San Pedro, takes about an hour. Recommend doing a private taxi tour once there, drivers will approach you upon exit from the border control we paid 50 euros a couple and our driver didn't charge for children. He spent as long as we wanted everywhere we went and dropped us off in the main square at the end of the tour. There isn't an awful lot for children to do in San Pedro so we had a day to Fuengirola and the biopark there, again used public transport easily.

Would definitely recommend this villa.

Our stay at San Pedro

On arrival we are greeted by 6 large cockroaches dashing about our lounge not the best first impression other problems that occurred during our holiday.

Remote control for television and air conditioning did not work required new batteries.

Wifi and television stopped working due to the limit reached on the broadband package.

No hot water for 5 days when an engineer did arrive he said the tank was to small and required a larger tank and a new switch which was not fitted before we departed..

Overall impression is that is a nice villa but the housekeeping leaves a lot to be desired and the furniture and white goods need upgrading for the price being charged. When owner was contacted his response was that the points had been noted but no apology. Would not recommend it until the above points had been rectified.

Owner's Response: This guest was attended to immediately and following a thorough spraying by an expert, the cockroaches disappeared permanently. One remote control needed batteries, this was done. There is always hot water at our villa, it is heated by solar panel. The booster heater switch was also replaced that week. The internet service provider is now operating with an unlimited plan. This only became available in July 2017. A temporary solution was provided immediately to this guest.

Great location, private and has all you need for a great holiday.

The villa is in a great location, close to the beach and the centre of San Pedro. We went as a group of friends and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The villa is very private, the pool is fab and so is the bbq area. Plenty of room for 8 adults. The owner and local management team are really helpful.

In need of some minor repair.

This was a perfect environment for me and the family the swimming pool was perfect for the kids. It was a great location near to the beach would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Good base to explore this part of Spain.

Nice quiet location for exploring this area of Spain. Gibraltar was just over an hours drive away for us, with no delays at the border crossing, and Ronda is well worth a visit. Marbella is just a short bus ride from San Pedro, a better option than the car with parking a bit of a problem in such a busy resort. The gem of the holiday for us was San Pedro, a short walk from the villa. San Pedro has loads of restaurants etc, all with very reasonable prices, popular with locals and Spanish tourists. The nearest supermarket is within walking distance of the villa, with at least three others just a short car ride away. The beach and prom, once again, just a short walk away, with a nice evening walk to Porto Banus. All in all a great villa for a family holiday.

The beach is about 200 metres from the villa with no major road between.


The closest airport is Malaga but Gibraltar is also a viable option. Malaga airport is about 50 km and about 40 minutes drive. A car is not essential since shops etc. are within walking distance.


San Pedro is about 0.5km from the Villa and can be easily walked. There are numerous bars and restaurants within easy walking distance from the Villa. Puerto Banus is about 25 minutes walk along the new promenade or 5 minutes by car.

Further Details:

Close to the villa you can go water skiing with Cable Ski Marbella, scuba diving in Estepona, hire a boat in Puerto Banus, go horse riding, green bowling, play tennis, go hill walking, mountain biking, hire jet skis, hire bicycles and lots more.
