On a high ridge perched above two valleys, enjoying views of mountains, mediterranean and countryside in all directions, villa "La Mexicana" surrounds you with rustic chic ambience and offers a relaxing setting for romantic getaways or relaxing holidays with famiy and friends. Villa mexicana is a former avocado farm set within two acres of beautiful countryside. The villa has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, ample terraces, extensive grounds and a private swimming pool. The location at torrox on Spain's Costa Del Sol is rural but not isolated between the villages of Torrox and Competa and just a few minutes drive from the beach. Smaller groups and those on a budget find us directly, "La Mexicana Torrox".

About kenneth Seal

My wife Esther, teenage daughter and I live and work ten minutes drive from our Villa Mexicana in Torrox. We take pride in our villa which is our second home and are responsive to any of our renters needs.

Since we are local (Nerja), we deal with our guests directly – from key exchanges, to cleaning, to repairs, and anything in between. We are always available for help and advice during your stay.

Why kenneth Seal chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

We brought la Mexicana in 1998 after searching for some time for a quiet location with views near to the coast. The villa when purchaced was an old avocado farm. The house is still set within avocado groves but has been transformed into a modern dwelling with all the comforts of home. We like this area for the variety of activities and interests it provides. We are near to the National Park boudary of Sierra Tejeda and Alhama nature reserve which is great for walks and peace and quiet but equally close are historic towns and many beaches. So there is always something to do!.

What makes this villa unique

The rural location with its views and proximity to the coast, together with the intimacy and freedom of a self contained a villa which is a great base for enjoying and discovering our area.

Notes:
Outside: Pool, terrace and walled area around the villa: this is the area where most time is spent enjoying the views, the 8x3m pool and the outside dining area. There are sun loungers for 4, outside dining area for 6-8 and plenty of shaded areas for reading dozing etc. From the terrace you can enjoy listening to our extensive music collection catering for different tastes or for your own "chill out" collection via USB or cd. Around the terrace there are small flower gardens and you can find a small herb area with fresh mint (e. G. Tea, mojitos! ), basel, tyme, rosemary, tyme, and lemons (for gin and tonic etc! ). The villa has fresh fruit year round and we will be glad to advise on picking your own fruit of the season. Utility Room: Rustic tiling and quarry tile floor. This room has washing machine, shower, toilet, and washbasin. Smaller than the main bathroom and with windows to the rear of the property this bathroom is entered from the main living area. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Cleaning before and after stay. New bed linen and towels provided weekly.

Location superbe !

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille à la villa Mexicana. La maison est superbe, sans vis à vis au milieu de la nature avec une vue superbe sur la campagne environnante et la mer. Idéalement situé au calme tout en étant prêt des commodités et des plages. ( à quelques minutes de Torrox ). Chemin facile d' accès.Très appréciable dans ces petites routes de montagne.

La maison est spacieuse, agréable et joliment décorée. Nous avons apprécié les extérieurs agrémentés de plantes et cactus, et pouvoir prendre nos petits déjeuners et repas sous la terrasse ombrée ont été un grand plaisir. La piscine est superbe et très propre et nous avons pu en profiter tous les jours.

Ken et Esther sont des propriétaires très chaleureux. D' une extrême gentillesse et de bons conseils ! Merci pour votre cadeau d' arrivée. Attention que nous avons beaucoup appréciée.

Nous avons passé une très agréable séjour dans votre location que nous recommandons vivement.

Toute la famille, parents et enfants ont été charmés !!!

Beautiful!

The villa is really beautiful and in an idyllic location. It really is home from home and very comfortable with all the creature comforts.

The scenery and views are stunning from the pretty terrace and the pool is very well maintained with excellent water quality.

Ken and Esther are absolutely delightful and made us feel extremely welcome.

We will definitely return.

Wow what a place to come and relax

We stayed at this villa about 15 years ago and thought it was about time we went back to check it out.

Wow we loved it before but now it is absolutely beautiful and even more space which is fantastic.

There's room for 6 people to sleep very comfortably and places for everyone to get their own space if they need it and plenty of space for everyone to have a get together.

The owner's Ken and Esther are so lovely and we were made so welcome even before we got there.

The contact and information was first class and if we had needed anything I'm sure we would have got it, they were so helpful.

Will we be going back ? most definatley , will we be recommending the villa and it owners to everyone we know , YES YES YES

VILLA MEXICANA

This is a lovely villa set in the mountains of Spain, and yet only a short drive to the coast - the views are wonderful. If you want to experience the 'real' Spain, this villa is perfect. It is very private and easily accessable from the main routes by car. Local villages, Frigiliana and Torrox are lovely villages for daytime or evening visits. The villa itself is clean and comfortable and the service from Ken and his wife Esther is exceptional - they also call in a couple of times during the week to clean the pool and ensure everything is ok. I would highly recommend Villa Mexicana and would definitely stay there again.

Spanish paradise

Dilemna : I speak the truth saying that we loved everything about this place, risking having it fully booked all the time and not being able to go back... or lie...? Let's be trueful...

We live in Paris so when we go to holidays, we love quietness, nature, sun... but we love going out in restaurants or tapas bars as well. You can combine all this in La Mexicana. The house is set apart in the hills with virtually no neighbours but Torrox, Nerja are easily reached by car. The pictures are trueful, the house is spotless, we would recommend this house to anyone we know.

Location

Car: necessary

Special interest holidays:

Diving, horseback riding, sailing, hiking, wine tasting or even skiing in winter a granada (40 mins). There is plenty of night life too with bars, some discos and many restaurants open at torrox costa, nerja and torre del mar on the coast. For sightseeing there are roman ruins all along the coast, world famous caves at nerja and the world heritage site of the alhambra at granada. Other possible days trips from the villa include cordoba, seville, gibraltar, ronda and even morocco.

Coast/Beach:

5km to beaches and the coast. Nerja Torrox Costa. Beaches for all tastes from wide and sandy to small quiet coves.

Travel:

Car hire is required for guests of La Mexicana. Torrox is reached from Malaga airport directly by the coastal motorway. From the Torrox turn off the villa is reached by secondary road at a distance of 3km. Journey time fro malaga airport is 40mins to the villa. Full instructions and maps are provided with reservation.
