Surrounded by large private enclosed gardens, this single storey holiday let comfortably sleeps up to 4-5 people, plus a cot. This seaside retreat has a fun, fresh, seaside interior and is equipped with Freeview TV & DVD player. There is a dishwasher, washer/drier and it has full central heating making it ideal for a winter break. It also has available a highchair & cot for those with little ones.

"We had a wonderful stay in Sandylands this October half-term. The house was beautifully decorated with seaside colours and themes and great attention to detail. There were also some very welcome treats on arrival, chocolates and prosseco, what more do you need after a long journey?



The walk down to the beach was about 10 minutes with lovely views. It was nice to see a lifeguard there for half term as we spent a lot of time body boarding with our eleven year old daughter. The beach is gorgeous, clean and the water was pretty warm considering the time of year ( wetsuits recommended !)



We had a fabulous, restful time and wouldn't hesitate to stay again." The McMillan family.

A Cornish Gem

An amazing find a few minutes walk of Sennen dunes and beach. A fantastic base for walking and exploring the wild and rugged Cornish coastline. The cottage is very well equipped - everything you could possibly need and more -very comfortable and a very large enclosed garden which was great for my two retrievers. I will definitely be back to explore further.

Perfect Family Holiday!

We had a brilliant 2 week stay at Sandylands this summer as a family of 5 (2 boys aged 10 and 12; baby 9 months).

The first thing we noticed was how spacious the cottage is; there's lots of room to relax and the garden is bigger than we expected. The boys had lots of footy and running around space and there's modern garden furniture and a bbq too.

Gemma and Mark have given the interior and uplifting yet relaxed style. We found the cottage to be very well equipped, and there was everything from books, pens, paper, games - to tv, radio, up-to-date dvd's and WiFi to keep us amused on rainy days.

The walk to Sennen beach is quick easy to do, as a mother holding a baby in a carry-harness I found it fine and I would say that for anyone who is used to light walking it really is manageable. There's a gradient, but it's not difficult. As you turn right out of Sandylands' gate, the view down to the sea is truly stunning and glorious, we felt very lucky to be so close to a wonderful beach.

There's lots to do there: our boys surfed and skim-boarded and you will find casual dining, a surf shop and space to picnic, walk or bbq at sunset.

I gave Sandylands 5 stars because Gemma was so helpful and informative that we felt welcome even before we arrived, we kept in touch by email and txt throughout. The large and private garden was essential for a family stay, and is hard to find in Cornwall. The cottage itself is light, comfortable, beautifully decorated and has all mod cons. But I think the element that puts Sandylands head and shoulders above other holiday lets we have used is it's proximity to the excellent Sennen Cove beach. We loved it and I warmly recommend it as a holiday home.

Calm and peaceful

This property was extremely comfortable, well equipped, very clean and decorated with a delightful nautical theme throughtout. Situated in a very quiet, wonderful location within walking distance to the beach however the walk back up the hill to the property from the beach is quite tough if you are not fit like we are - may be not suitable for the elderly, infirm or if carrying a lot of beach stuff. There is a car park in Sennen to get round this though. The property has a great garden, with wide open views to relax in. Would definitely recommend it.

Land's End is only about a mile further along the glorious coastal footpath, while in the opposite direction the path leads to the dramatic scenery of Cape Cornwall.

The little fishing village of Newlyn and picturesque Mousehole harbour, both popular subjects for artists, are 8 miles away.

The town of Penzance (8 miles) has a many amenities for visitors, including museums, cinema, golf, tennis and riding, as well as many good shops and restaurants.

  • Notes on accommodation: Parking – Sandylands has a private, gated, gravel driveway that will hold up to 2-3 cars depending on the size. The driveway is narrow so caution is needed when disembarking the car. Outside: The back garden is private and secure, accessed by a side gate. With a small patio area, and expansive back garden, it is a perfect place to BBQ and relax. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen & towels are included. Please bring your own beach towels. The property is cleaned on changeover day between departure & arrivals if you are staying for longer than a week extra linen will be provided.
