About the Owner

We purchased this beautiful apartment in August 2013 having immediately fallen in love with it. We wanted something special close to the beach with stunning views and feel that we have the perfect property to offer to our customers to run as our holiday let. We think the apartment is in an excellent location and the perfect choice for a holiday by the sea. We do not live locally but we do have someone who looks after the apartment for us and so would be on hand if any difficulties or problems arise.

Awesome!

I was looking for a nice break to celebrate my 40th birthday which to be honest I'd been dreading, so an escape to Cornwall was my choice of medicine. Booking was a simple process with plenty of useful and speedy communication from the owners. If you are undecided about this holiday let then don't be. The place is much larger than even the photos make out and the sea a heck of a lot closer. There was just my wife and I but I would see no problem with the maximum capacity of 5 living here for the week there is plenty of room. The views were incredible and the sound of the waves so soothing. Got plenty of use from the balconies even in February. A lot of love and care has gone into the property and the kitchen is extremely well equipped. The bed linen and towels all soft and comfortable. It was clean, the heating kept us cosy even on a stormy night we had. The stairs are long but not overly steep and caused us no problems at all and I'm no athlete. The car parking was easy enough and such a huge bonus. The communal areas were clean and decorated, I assume they have been improved since a few previous reviews but I can only tell you what it was like when I was there and that is clean and tidy. And then of course there is the fabulous town of Looe on the literal doorstep. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed staying here except to say I would buy this property myself given the chance! Can't wait to return here in the future.

Owner's Response: Thank you for such a lovely review. To hear how much you enjoyed your stay and enjoyed your holiday makes us very happy. We, with the other owners, are trying to improve the communal areas. It is a large and very old building so this does take some TLC but we have noticed a huge improvement since we put the new lighting in. We hope very much to see you again soon. We wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing you soon.

a simply stunning, comfortable home from home.

If you are thinking about booking this apartment, stop thinking and get it booked! We stayed there during that glorious last week in September but it wouldn't' make much difference if it rained, the property is big, comfy and is equipped with just about everything we have at home, and the views from the three balconies..... simply stunning. There are lots of steps but they climb quite gently, they get easier to climb as the holiday progresses. Looe is lovely and this apartment must be the best positioned in the village, give it a go

Best apartment in Looe

  • 5 of 5

Booked this apartment for out visit to the Looe music festival because of the prime location overlooking the beach and hence the main stage. Michelle the owner was very helpful ad allowed me to book Thursday to Thursday as the festival started on Friday. Not many owners in such a well located and popular holiday let will allow this, thank you Michelle. On entering the flat we were all over the moon, it is outstanding, apart from the fabulous south facing view over the sea and the beach the interior was immaculate (well done cleaning staff} and such quality and tasteful furnishings, top quality comfortable lounge seating and beds. Loads of storage and equipment. I could go on forever. Tried to rebook for next year, but no surprise, already booked, the festival weekend is popular and word of this flat is obviously out. Do not let the steps put you off they are a challenge, but you get used to them. Many many thanks Michelle and Will for making your piece of heaven available. Very best wishes.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much Sharon, Denis, Gil and Steve What a lovely review. I am so glad you had such a fabulous time and the flat had everything you needed and you loved it there. We absolutely love the prime location on the beach, its our little bit of paradise and so glad we can share that with others. I am so sorry I couldn't let you have the apartment for the same time next year but you are right the music festival is very popular. A lot of my guests try and rebook each year and because the apartment is proving to be so popular I have to sometimes disappoint them. I hope you will come back to us in the future. All the very best to you and your family. Michelle and Will

Fantastic location, lovely flat

  • 5 of 5

This apartment probably has the best location in Looe for views, proximity to the beach, restaurants, boat trips and shops, everything is on your door step. It is a real home from home, everything we needed was available and the thoughtful luxurious touches like quality bedding, super comfy bed, seats on each of the 3 balconies etc, made it a bit special. It was also brilliant to have a car parking space right outside the door. The steps mentioned in previous reviews weren't an issue for us (family with 7 & 10 year old) and were worth it for the view!

All our communications with Michelle have been helpful, friendly & speedily answered. When a bulb went during our stay and tripped the fuses we called the local contact for maintenance who quickly helped us resolve the problem.

Family day out recommendations were Looe Island (unspoilt nature reserve), glass bottomed boat trip (close up to seals and huge jellyfish), Carnglaze Caves, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project and Surf Lessons at Adventure Bay Surf School at Whitsand Bay.

We had a brilliant time at Looe, would recommend this apartment and hope to return soon!

Excellent accommodation

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic place to stay in Looe, everything we needed was there, dishwasher, washing machine etc etc. Even the views are fantastic, just mind your heads with the seagulls though out on the balcony. We will certainly be booking our stay here again as we felt like it was our own home. The stairs are certainly an exercise 60 steps to climb before reaching the apartment but after a few days we could feel our leg muscles getting tighter cant wait to revisit again in the near future.

Location

From the Owner

I hadn’t been back to Looe since I was a teenager (many years ago). I loved it back then and still do today. Its a lovely place and somewhere that you can relax and unwind. Looe is somewhere we felt we could retire to in future years and absolutely love it here.

There is also the opportunity to spend New Year in Looe which is truly wonderful and is in the top 10 places to spend New Year in Great Britain.

Coast/Beach:

Directly in front of the apartment block you will find Looe’s sandy beach. The beach is a clean council maintained beach and has a shallow slope to the sea, is safe bathing and dog free all year.
