This recently refurbished first floor flat in a 250 year-old house, is ideal for two people seeking a peaceful, cosy all-year round retreat in the heart of a lovely village.

There are many and varied activities close by, a wide variety of eating places, including the super, friendly ( people + dogs ! ) village pub and restaurant, a very short walk, minutes

away. Lots of lovely tea rooms.

The Wensleydale Railway and the Settle-Carlisle Railway are within easy reach, for trips in magnificent scenery, away from the car!

An abundance of walks to suit all tastes and fitness levels, including one less than a minute away. Plenty of advice offered.

Castles, ancient churches in abundance and several waterfalls very near. The famous Aysgarth Falls + National Park centre are 1 mile away.

The Wensleydale Cheese Centre, with its indoor museum, cheese shop and restaurants in Hawes. Also in Hawes, the delightful countryside museum.

The beauty and tranquillity of Semerwater,

the " Lakes " minus the traffic -jams!

Plenty to do, in all seasons.

Something for all tastes, a beautiful refuge from everyday stress.

A lovely flat in a beautiful location.

The owners of this flat made us, including our dog, feel really welcome. The flat was spotlessly clean & had everything we needed for our stay. The owners really do appear to have thought of everything. Carperby is a quiet village surrounded by open fields with plenty of walks starting at the doorstep. The Wheatsheaf Inn is just a short walk from the flat. It's a great place to eat, drink & meet a mix of really friendly locals & visitors. It's dog friendly too.

we really enjoyed our stay , were greeted with scones, butter, jam and fresh milk on arrival

location of the apartment is ideal for hikers and nature lovers

Cosy and comfortable stay

It was great to be met on arrival with warm scones. Joan was a most helpful host attending to every need providing advice on where to eat and what to see. The property listing provides a very accurate description. The property is conveniently located for a number of attractions on a relatively quiet country road with parking directly opposite. The property was meticulously clean, warm and just right for two people. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Overall very satisfactory property which served us welll

Unfortunately when we arrived the owners were away and we were not expected apparently, when we tried to contact them by phone the call went straight to voice mail which was full and taking no messages. We then made a contact with the neighbour who came out to check things when I went down the side of the house looking for life of which there was none.he took us in for a cuppa while we rang Owners Direct.The first person couldn't help us and was in the process of passing us to another team when we got cut off because of poor mobile signal,.the neighbour then found the cleaner for the property by us all walking down the road to spot her home.We did so but not unreasonably she was out.We returned to the neighbours home and at 6pm we tried the cleaner again ourselves and she was in. She said she had not been made aware of our booking but she was very helpful and thus gained access to the property some hour and a half later. The neighbour and cleaner were extremely helpful and our thanks go to them. Owners Direct apologised by email, we have heard nothing from the owners themselves. From the foregoing our satisfaction was somewhat dented

A comfortable first floor flat with adequate amenities.

The flat is well placed for access to the many attractions North Yorkshire has to offer. The local pub is friendly and serves good food. The flat is very cosy and comfortable with essential amenities (no washing machine). Parking outside the flat is not advisable as it is on a narrow busy road but parking is available a short walk away. Overall a pleasant stay in a quaint village.

Owner's Response: Dear Mark, Thankyou for your feedback, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I was surprised by your " narrow, busy road" comment, as I think it's a fairly average 2 -way road, which certainly is quite busy for a short time in early morning and early evening but otherwise has extremely light traffic--apart from the inevitable local tractors--! As the bedroom is at the back, early mornings are not disturbed, luckily. However, as you very fairly pointed out, there is off-road parking ,just across the road, almost opposite Cecilia House. Thankyou for taking the trouble to leave feedback
