Our second visit to Cecilia House where we were, once again, given a warm welcome and enjoyed a comfortable stay. Would recommend a stay here, great location and good local food. Thank you again Joan.

very clean well equipped, comfortable apartment for 2.Well situated for walks and excellent pub

  • 5 of 5

Very warm welcome, with milk biscuits tea and coffee provided.Well appointed first floor apartment, in central village location, with excellent pub but no other shops. The only thing we found absent was an ice compartment/freezer in the fridge,However I am sure we could have asked the owners downstairs had we really needed one. They offered advice and help with anything and also were open to suggestions which we found very good.It was warm and very comfortable,(especially the bed).We found excellent walking right from the doorstep, including Aysgarth Falls,Semerwater Bolton castle and Bainbridge Overall excellent stay and we hope to return.soon

excellent location.

  • 5 of 5

the flat is perfect, excellent shower, such a comfy bed that I want to buy one! Also very warm welcome from the house minders Emily and Zak. They won me over by making a fuss of my dog Lunar! After an extremely wet walk up Pen y Ghent it was good to get back and get warm and dry.

Everything you need in a beautiful place

A beautiful location and lovely apartment.

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Cecilia House recently for two evenings but wished our stay was for much longer. The apartment was very clean and cosy and John and Joan made us and our two labradors very welcome. The village is quiet but friendly with a lovely pub just walking distance down the road called the Wheatsheaf where they made us and our dogs very welcome. Whilst staying in Carperby we visited Leyburn, Richmond, Castle Bolton and Hawes all perfect places for a visit, nice places to eat or just have a coffee and a cake. We also walked to Aysgarth Falls from the apartment only a mile away, a walk not to be missed. Overall experience was wonderful we can fully recommend a stay in Cecilia House and we hope to go back sometime next year.
