Apartment - Mijas Costa, close to Calahonda, Medina del Zoco, Riviera. - Only 5 minutes to the beach, excellent choice of restaurants and bars

Only 5 minutes drive, less than 20 minutes walk to the beach. This spacious apartment has a south facing terrace within a private gated community, with pools and well stocked, mature gardens. Within walking distance are the amenities of both Calahonda and Riviera, Costa del Sol, and close to Marbella.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms: one with King size bed, large fitted wardrobe and en-suite with bath and shower; the second bedroom has 2 single beds and large fitted wardrobe; the second bathroom has a shower enclosure.

The apartment is ideal for 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

It has double glazing throughout, is fully air conditioned with hot and cold settings for maximum comfort, with marble floors in all living areas.

Only 300 metres walk to a Recreation Club with FREE WIFI access, 2 restaurants, bar facilities, and for a small fee daily or weekly gym/spa membership.

Fantastic location & holiday rental - totally ideal for families!!

We visited at the start of February as a family of 4. We are 2 adults and 2 children (one aged 4 years and one aged 6 months old). What a fantastic find! The owners were really good at keeping in contact before our stay and therefore we were confident about our holiday stay.

We arrived to a very clean, spotless apartment after a flight from the UK. It seemed a lot bigger than what we'd viewed on the photos.

The balcony is ideal for sitting out in the sunshine for a family breakfast looking either out to sea or towards to pool!

The lounge area is ideal for relaxing in the evening when the children are in bed - a very comfy seating area next to the dining area.

The kitchen is well equipped - we decided to eat in each night as the children were exhausted and in bed by the time it was dark at 7pm!! Plenty of supermarkets in the area to keep adequately supplied!!

Both bedrooms are spacious - one is a double with a bathroom and the other is a a twin with a shower room off it.

We frequented local beaches at La Cala de Mijas and then discovered the great beach at Cabopino - daily sea swims were fantastic!

Day trips to Ronda and the white village of Mijas are possible and lunch out at Benalmadena kept our week busy!

Thank you for letting us use your lovely apartment for our winter sunshine holiday!!!

We'd totally recommend a stay here!

Could not be faulted. Exceptionally clean, well decorated & uncluttered. Everything provided.

We had a very relaxing holiday over the New Year. Upon evening arrival the secure, gated complex was well lit. The apartment could be reached quickly by steps or as I am disabled by using the lift and walking along the pushchair/wheelchair walkway provided. Very pleasant as it took us around the pool area and lit up garden.

The apartment was delightful. Spacious and fully equipped. There was nothing not provided for. The alarm system was easy to remember and caused us no problems. The beds were comfortable and we loved having our individual bathrooms. The patio is well equipped with table and new loungers, we especially enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony.

The apartment is on the hillside and this accounts for the beautiful views. We hired a car from the airport which was imperative for me. We were able to park without problem outside the apartment complex. We used the car to explore many places, Marbella, Porto Banus, Fenguerola, Benalmadena along the coastline and also up into the mountains we explored Monda and also Rhonda. We enjoyed the local Mijas market on the Wednesday. There are so many places to dine, especially if you have transport. Alternatively there are shops and a well stocked supermarket at Mijas Flores just before you reach the apartment. We also did some shopping at the local Lidl.

Our New Year's Eve was spent a the exclusive Sloane's Bistro. It wasn't cheap but the meal was exceptional as was the service. We can recommend this for a special occasion. We relied upon taxis for this evening. We pre booked our taxi at the rank near the shops in Mijas Flores but he was unable to return for us as it was out of his area. We were slightly concerned we would have trouble getting a return taxi New Year's Eve but there was no problem. The restaurant phoned for us and one arrived within five minutes.

We had a lovely holiday. It was easy to arrange, the owner's could not have been more helpful, we were given lots of useful information and even had a holiday app which I thought was quirky. Five Stars given, book with confidence.

We are pleased you found the amenities of a good standard and that the kitchen had all the equipment you could wish for in a holiday rental. It is useful that you found the wheelchair / pushchair access walk from the lifts very pleasant, the path being around the pool area and lit up garden. The communal gardens are always well maintained with sub-tropical plants and are just as interesting at night as they are during the day. You obviously enjoy sightseeing, and made the most of this great location from which to explore the many beautiful places on the Costa del Sol which you visited. We are glad you found our detailed information pack helpful and we look forward to welcoming you back, should you wish to book with us again.

Modern well presented apartment with all you need for a great holiday.

We found the apartment spotlessly clean, well equipped and offered everything we needed for our holiday. The information pack supplied to us was very helpful in get the most from our stay. A car is essential due to its location and there was plenty of on street parking near the apartment and near the beach.

A car can an advantage for touring or with toddlers, although following the walking routes we suggest, beaches, a choice of restaurants, and shops can be easily walked to in 20 minutes. Public transport by train, taxi, or bus provides a relaxing alternative (see David Hall review 31-Aug-14).

beautiful apartment on a very relaxing complex

we stayed here for 10 days and wanted to stay longer the apartment is so lovely very clean and beautifully furnished,

the complex is small and very quiet many days we had the pool to ourselves was bliss, sitting on the balcony in the evenings was so relaxing and peaceful. there's plenty of restaurants not far away would highly reccomend La Plazza italian within walking distance we went there twice food, surroundings and service is fantastic. a bit further afield up the main road towards cala is another great restaurant Enriques .

we had a hire car so went out and about to marbella, gibralta and many more areas. we're hoping to go back there next year as we had such a lovely time there.

Luxury Apratment on a Lovely Complex

This is a lovely apartment on a very quiet & friendly complex. Pool is perfect for all (especially kids 8 & 11)

The owners are very helpful & supply loads of information on apartment & area

It is well worth having a car to make it easier to get around. But we found local Taxi's very easy to hire (from Oasis Club)

La Cala de Mijas which is approximately 8 mins away in car a perfect evening for food & drink

With lovely weather it is recommended

Smart apartment comfortably furnished with good facilities and security

Apartment felt reasonably private with a lovely pool area and gardens, which we used a lot also very nice views from the balcony.Excellent information from owners meant everything was easy clear and no stress. There are a lot of stairs so make sure to use the elevators when you bringing up shopping . The apartment is clean and relaxing with efficient air con. However found there was a lovely breeze in the afternoon /early evening which meant we just left the patio doors open the apartment was nice and cool. There are a variety of restaurants in both Calahonda and Riveira, take time to explore as they are not all obvious straight away. Both resort areas are quite a long walk but at least they are downhill so not so bad. I would not have been able to manage the walk back up that easily (dodgy knees) but both resorts have ample taxis from a central point (6-7 euros) and you never had to wait for one . Our favourite restaurant was El Juncal on the beach in Riviera open all day till 11.30pm great seafood grill on an open fire, tasty paella amongst other dishes, during the day it provides beach services , has a great team of staff who are sociable as well as efficient and the most efficient , reliable free WiFi in town. In Calahonda the are a lot of restaurants together in el Zocalo but I did not like them felt like a cramped noisy food court. If you walk back up Avenida de Espagna there is a a little parade of smarter more relaxed restaurants. We used a car to visit Ronda, Marbella and back into Malaga which has tons of atmosphere, great tapas and the Picasso museum as well as plenty more to see.
