Cottage in Grasmere, Lake District, Cumbria, England - Easy Access To Fells To Suit All Walkers. Close To Lake, Public Transport, Pubs, Shops And Gallery

A traditional 'picture postcard'. This enchanting Lakeland stone built cottage on a magical setting overlooking Grasmere Green has been award a 4 Star rating by VisitBritain. Becksteps Cottage is close to all the village amenities including pubs, restaurants, shops, art galleries, garden centres and bus services to Keswick and Windermere. The Co-op store only 2 minutes walk away is very well stocked and open 15 hours 7 days per week. No need to bring anything but we provide a freezer and 2 fridges. Grasmere is the heart of the Lake District and central for walking in all directions and for all abilities. A car park pass is provided for the Wordsworth Hotel (approximately 150 metres away). Becksteps Cottage is so central it is practical to park when you arrive and not need the car again until you leave. There is time restricted parking directly outside the cottage. Broadband and WiFi are installed. Satellite television in lounge and bedrooms with over 150 channels.This cottage has proven to be very popular and many visitors return year after year. You will not be disappointed.

We so enjoyed our stay in your beautiful cottage and really didn't want to leave. I can honestly say that having stayed in the Lake District on a regular basis for the past 15 years, your cottage and it's stunning location is our favourite by far. We always appreciate being able to bring our dog along on holiday and like to leave the cottage as we find it ;-)

Beautiful, convenient setting

The cottage was in the most convenient and idyllic setting. Close to everything. The cottage itself had all the facilities we could ask for and the two (modern and exceptional) bathrooms were a big bonus! Thank you for a wonderful week in Grasmere.

We will then refer you to web site www.lakedistrictcottages.me.uk where you can download a Booking Form. We can post or email form if required. Form is to be returned together with an initial £100 or the full amount plus £50 parking permit deposit if within 56 days. All correspondence acknowledged.

Changeover Day:
The change over day is Saturday. Arrival time after 4pm and departure time 10am. Between November and March ( excluding Christmas, New Year, Easter and half term we are happy to take short breaks. Minimum 3 nights starting or ending on a Saturday.

Notes on prices:
We edit our web site daily and whilst it is likely to be correct there is always the chance that our letting agents may have taken a booking in since the last edit.
PLEASE NOTE. If availability is showing for 'next' or an imminent week we will be prepared to discuss a SPECIAL RATE........we will not be offended!

Outside: At the rear of the cottage is a patio area with table and chairs for morning coffee or pre dinner drinks. There are 2 outhouses . One for winter fuel and the second houses the freezer and tumble drier. It is secure for bikes. At the front of the house is the village green with an abundance of public benches to sit and watch the world go by. Utility Room: Useful under stairs storage space /cupboard for luggage, boots coats and other small items. Storage space for solid fuel for open fire in lounge. Storage for children games. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: High quality bed linen and towels and bath mats are provided. The beds are made up with duvets for your arrival. Basic cleaning materials are supplied. The Cottage is cleaned prior to your arrival and after your departure. Bed linen changed after 7 days. Other: Fully carpeted traditional double twist stair leads off lounge from behind original batten door onto fully carpeted upper landing with Laura Ashley decor and chandelier light fittings throughout. Bedrooms and house shower/WC are off this corridor.
