Lovely cottage in great location
We've just got back from a great holiday in this lovely cottage. Perfect location for all main attractions. Our grandchildren loved it. We'd love to come again sometime and would happily recommend to friends and family.

Beautiful week away
We had a lovely time at Paul's cottage. The location was idyllic and our 2 year old loved splashing in the river at the bottom of the path! The pub was really friendly too, we managed to stop off after a walk for a pint in the sun. The details of the local walks were a great touch. We found there was so much to do within a short drive that its become our favourite UK staycation destination so far!

Beautifully renovated cottage
This former tearoom has been carefully and tastefully converted into a beautiful, well equipped cottage. The village of Rowen is stunning, and there is so much to see and do in the locality that our three night stay was far too short.

Comfortable cosy, well equipped, cottage in stunning surroundings. Kind and generous host.
We had such a lovely stay in Paul's cottage. It was the perfect holiday base for us. It was warm and cosy, lovely wood burner. Games, jigsaws and dvds for the rainy days. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. Comfortable beds and everywhere spotlessly clean. A welcome gift was a generous surprise on arrival. We loved the location, just 10 minutes to the beautiful sandy beaches, the town of Conwy, stunning walks on the doorstep. Paul also went out of his way to return our son's cuddly toy we left behind. Thank you. We highly recommend Paul's cottage and will be back.

About the host

Hosted by Paul Belton

Host profile image
Hi, I'm Paul. When I bought the property, in 2007, it was a derelict Welsh cottage.

Why they chose this property

A haven of tranquility, situated so close to the river that you a can hear it as you lie in bed simply by opening a window. For a more mindful experience sit on the bench next to the river, just outside the gate - simply sit, close your eyes and listen.

What makes this property unique

Possibly the oldest property in the village; thick river stone walls keep it cool in summer whist the central heating and log burner makes it toasty warm in Winter.
