Cottage in Rowen, Conwy, Wales - Peaceful Location, 5 Minutes Walk To The Pub. No pets.

Pen-y-Bont is a tastefully restored, central heated, c16 Welsh cottage set in the picturesque village of Rowen at the heart of the Conwy Valley, in the Snowdonia National Park. Situated in a secluded location but also within a 5-minute walk of a lively, traditional pub, featuring Welsh singing every Friday night and serving the best pint of Guinness outside of Dublin (probably)...not to be missed!

If you're feeling more energetic the area is a walker's paradise with all the majestic peaks of North Wales within close proximity & ancient Roman paths and the multi-award winning Bodnant Garden (Owned by the National Trust and one of the most spectacular and admired gardens in Britain) right on your doorstep.

Great cottage, great area, wonderful break!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage far exceeded our expectations, crossing the little footbridge over the little brook and seeing the cottage for the first time was first class! All the facilities were spot on, great kitchen, sitting room with stove and the comfiest bed ever made for an excellent mini break and perfect to unwind and explore the stunningly beautiful area! Will definitely return!

Beautiful & Cosy

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was everything we hoped for and more! It was very clean, spacious, quiet and beautifully situated. After long days out travelling and seeing the sights of North Wales it was so nice to be able to come back knowing we could start the wood burner and spend the rest of our evening comfortably relaxing in the lovely cottage. We would definitely book this cottage again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and/or romantic break.

A lovely, comfortable cottage in a friendly village near Conwy.

  • 5 of 5

My family enjoyed staying in this attractive, clean cottage as it had all the amenities we needed to relax after a day exploring the Welsh mountains and coastlines. We loved the very spacious living room with its comfy sofas and big dining room table. Our son particularly liked playing some of the board games that were provided, with us. Rowen is perfectly situated for visiting Conwy, Llandudno and the Welsh Mountain Zoo as well as other places a little further afield such as Portmeirion and the slate mines. The village itself was a tranquil idyll from busy life and my husband loved accessing some long runs from our front door into the countryside in preparation for a marathon. Great!

Fantastic Cottage

  • 5 of 5

What a gorgeous cottage, so peaceful and secluded we really enjoyed our stay here.

It's finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean and with everything you need. The bed is so comfortable and the room has a lovely view of the garden.

Great base to explore North Wales, we had a brilliant time and have already recommended to family.

Beautiful Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We had such a lovely stay at this beautiful cottage, and had booked to stay again in 2016. Unfortunately it transpired that the check in date was not available after all, so we had to opt for an alternative choice instead (fingers crossed it will live up to our last stay in Conwy).

Coast/Beach:

Conwy is a 10 minute drive away & its setting is spectacular, framed by the foothills of Snowdonia and gazing across the Conwy Estuary. The quay and old harbour are host to an active small fishing fleet and the fascinating Conwy Mussel Museum. Llandudno is one of the finest traditional seaside resorts in the world & is a 20-minute drive. A splendid promenade spans the gently curving bay between the headlands of the Great Orme and the Little Orme. There's a lovely second beach on the West Shore.

Distances:

Conwy town is 7-miles, or 10-minutes by car, away.

Further Details:

There is a variety of restaurants, fish & chip shops (The Harbour View in Deganwy is the best!), banks & a Tesco supermarket in Conwy. Rowen itself has a delightful corner shop, selling a wide variety of freshly delivered artisan breads, high quality meats, newspapers & other staples. The Ty Gwyn pub is both lively & friendly, serving good food & a selection of lagers, bitters, wines & a very nice pint of Guinness! There is also a church in the village which has an English speaking service on the last Sunday of each month.
