Bay View at 6 Trenwith Terrace is located in the picturesque town of St Ives a short 2 minute stroll from the town centre, harbour and beaches. The well equipped property has recently been re-furbished whilst retaining original period charm in a clean and comfortable atmosphere. The property is ideal for both families and couples. On entering Bay View there is a large and comfortable open plan lounge diner with comfortable seating with door leading to a bright and airy well stocked kitchen.

Stairs from the lounge lead to the first floor accommodating; bathroom with a separate W/C.

Bright and airy master bedroom with a King bed, wardrobe, plenty of storage space, TV and sea views and blackout curtains.

The second bedroom has a single bed and a short single bed, blackout curtains provide restful sleep during lighter summer months.

Narrow stairs lead to the third floor attic bedroom with double bed, plenty of storage space and TV. From this room there are stunning views over St Ives looking over the Harbour entrance across the bay to Godrevy Lighthouse.

The property benefits a large double parking space directly to the front of the property, a rarity in St Ives suitable for 2 large vehicles.

A seating area is provided to the front of the property.

Changeover day is Saturday; weekly bookings only taken only during main school holidays.

Flexible changeover days at other times with a minimum of 4 nights booked. Please see our rates & availability for current details.

Child equipment, highchair, stair gates, bed rails etc are available to hire for a weekly cost.

Sorry no pets allowed at the property.

We purchased the property in July 2013 as we were struck with the position of the property, being close to town yet set back enough to enjoy peaceful evenings. This quaint cottage is deceptively roomy, easily accommodating 6 adults.

Notes on accommodation: A welcome basket is provided upon arrival with coffee, tea, sugar, Cornish biscuits and milk in the fridge. (contents may vary occasionally ) We are members of the St Ives Tourism Association. No Pets. No Smoking. Central heated. Children's beach toys for the use of guests. Outside: Large parking area suitable for 2 large MPV /4X4 vehicles. Outside seating with storage for beach items such as body boards. Towels are included per week booked. Beach towels can be hired. Fresh linen is included per stay but for an additional charge a mid period change can be arranged. The property is thoroughly cleaned prior to new guests arriving. Other: Porch entrance area with plenty of coat hooks, door leading to main living area. The property has recently been re-furbished to a high standard.

Fab cottage in a fab location

St Ives is a wonderful place and this cottage ideal... Five minutes from the shops and just another five from the beach. Inside the place is comfortable and nicely decorated. We loved every minute.

Everything you need - Newly decorated, fully kitted out, well positioned with double parking.

None of us wanted to leave after our week staying here. It ticked all the boxes. Location just brilliant. Very short walk into town where we shopped, went to the cinema, did some pottery painting, and lots of eating and drinking. Short walk to Porthgwidden, our new favourite beach in St Ives. Great walk along coastal paths.

On top of that, one of our daughters had a problem with her eye and we were able to get an appointment at the excellent medical centre opposite the house at short notice.

The property is newly refurbished with a very well equipped kitchen. We cook and bake a lot when we are away and everything we needed could be found. The beds are super comfortable, and the lounge seated 5 of us comfortably.

Lovely touches throughout which added to our enjoyment such as bedtime story books, selection of books and games, useful provision of small items to start our stay such as tea, milk, toilet rolls, kitchen towel......etc.

2 parking spaces almost unheard of in St Ives and made life easy. Neighbours in adjoining properties were very friendly too!

I would mention that the stairs to the top double bedroom are very steep and narrow, so need to bear that in mind when deciding who gets which room.

Lovely cottage

Well equipped house in a perfect location - easy walking distance to town centre but in a quiet location. The parking space is a great bonus. Couldn't ask for more.

Great holiday!

We had a great two week holiday at Bay View. The house is very spacious, comfortable and well equipped. Parking for two cars is certainly a bonus in St Ives and the harbour is just a few minutes walk.

Coast/Beach:

St Ives is famous for it's award winning beaches all within a short stroll from the cottage. The waters are clear and the fine golden sands are clean. The two largest beaches, Porthminster and Porthmeor (the surfing beach) have lifeguards on duty and flags showing safe swimming areas. All have beach cafes and loos close by. Try them all.

Travel:

Half mile 5 minute walk to St Ives (Cornwall) main line station and coach/bus station.

Easily accessed from the A30.

Distances:

Close to the Tate Gallery, Hepworth Museum, St Ives Museum, Lifeboat Station, many private Galleries, Surf School, Pleasure Boats, Harbour.

Further Details:

Small Co-ops and other shops within a short walking distance. Nearest large supermarket 1.3 miles away on main road to Carbis Bay.
