About Ilona Walker

I am a happily married woman, who has two daughters and three grandsons. Mr husband is a General Practitioner. We have owned Crags for 22 years and prior to that rented the property from previous owners, so my girls have enjoyed staying there for over 35 years. My grandsons love to go and is their favourite place.

Ilona Walker purchased this house in 1980

Why Ilona Walker chose Newquay & St Austell area

We bought Crags 22 years ago and have always enjoyed our family holidays there. The ever changing sea and it beautiful position never fail to make us delighted with our purchase. Out of season the weather can be lovely and the beaches are so quiet and peaceful. In the summer the buzzing atmosphere yet still not too busy on the beach is equally enjoyable. The proximity to Newquay, Padstow and Truro is an added bonus. Newquay airport is just minutes away and this summer we travelled there from Liverpool in just 50 minutes! Amazing! Car hire is also available at the airport.

What makes this house unique

The house is a five minute walk to Scarlet Hotel, ten minutes to Jamie Oliver's restaurant at Watergate Bay and fifteen minutes away from Rich Stein's famous seafood restaurant. The beach is just a few minutes walk away and the house has wonderful views across the bay. Built into the hill side, the house offers bedrooms that are at different levels which allows families their own space, whilst enjoying their days together.

Perfect family house with idyllic views!

Wow...that view!! A fantastic family home in a stunning location. Minutes to the beach on foot, where the surf was incredible! Excellent facilities at the house, the outside shower and storage for the surfboards were a big help. Rooms were spacious and well equipped, lovely bathrooms and plenty of them. Children enjoyed playing the keyboard in the playroom and football in the fab garden space too. The view is to die for! We'll definitely be booking in again. Lovely, helpful owner too. Thankyou for a fantastic break x

We had a great holiday in this beautiful house. Accommodation has everything you could need and with 4 bathrooms - unbeatable. The sea views are incredible and we loved watching my nephew surfing from the lounge window! The owners and caretaker were very helpful. Can't wait to go again next year.
