Description

Little Barn

Little Barn is a very cosy cottage with a lounge, spacious kitchen diner, 2 good size bedrooms and a bathroom. The property is adjoining the owners house and is situated on two levels with the bedrooms and bathroom on the upper floor. Outside there is a private garden and plenty of space for car parking. There is a separate indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub which is for exclusive use of the guests of Little Barn and Bramble cottage only.

About the property

E10369

Lower Pencubitt features a main house where the owners reside along with two 2 bedroom self catering holiday cottages. Both properties are well furnished and have their own private gardens. There is a separate indoor heated swimming pool and hot tub which are for exclusive use by the cottages. Lower Pencubitt is set in a quiet location but handily placed for local shops, banks and supermarkets. The south coast at Looe is only 15 minutes drive and the north coast is only a 35 minute drive. The Eden project is a 20-25 minute drive and there are numerous National trust properties, gardens and children's activities in the local area. The property is located in probably the most scenic part of Cornwall and there are very good road and rail connections to most parts of the UK.

About Graham Berti

We both love living in Cornwall as there is so much to enjoy from wonderful scenery to friendly people. We both enjoy having guests stay in our cottages and welcome many back year after year

Graham Berti purchased this cottage in 2013

Why Graham Berti chose South East Cornwall

My wife and I bought this property in April 2013. We were looking for holiday cottages in a beautiful location in Cornwall. The indoor heated swimming pool is fantastic for our cottage guests and the local area has so much to offer. Looe with its popular beach, shops and restaurants is a short 15 minute drive and the Eden project is a 25 minute drive. North Coast beaches like Newquay and Padstow can be reached in 45 minutes and all of these details attracted us to the most beautiful part of Cornwall.

Lovely September break in Little Barn

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely relaxing week in the Little Barn - lots of thoughtful details really added to the experience.

The cottage is well laid-out property but has charm too. It is well placed out of the main town but with other properties around, so quiet but not isolated. The whole place was clean & well maintained and the operation of everything was explained.

There was plenty of equipment in the kitchen and a supply of all the appropriate cleaning & support materials making it a home from home & perfectly possible to eat / cook in after buying supplies from the many great shops in Liskeard which were only a mile away - we really enjoyed the walk.

The pool was an added bonus which we really enjoyed for leisurely swims after long walks.

We were pleased that there are plenty of walks from the door / in & around Liskeard as well as farther afield and it was easy to get around in the car too. Looe, Polperro, St Austell and Bodmin are all very close by if you don't want to spend too long in the car.

Graham & Kay were very friendly and helpful and immediately sorted a slight glitch with the internet. The welcome gift of scones with clotted cream & jam went down well, along with the wine - thanks!

We would heartily recommend the train trip to Looe, which was delightful & scenic and there are many great places to eat whilst there.

Liskeard also boasts a wonderful restaurant - Tapenades - and we had a delicious meal, topped off by a lovely chat with the owner. If you get chance, book a table & enjoy.

We had a lovely time & would definitely recommend this to others.

Wonderful!!

  • 5 of 5

The cottage was very cosy and fully equipped for everyone's needs. The hosts were very kind, thoughtful and attentive. The hosts are extremely welcoming, and even thought of our two year old with a little gift on our arrival!

The location of the cottage was ideal, close to everything, but tucked away peacefully from any traffic.

We would highly recommended anyone to stay here, and we will suggest this cottage to anyone who talks about having a holiday. We were gutted about leaving and having to face reality again.

A big big thank you to the hosts once again!! We will definitely be coming back to stay in the future!

Fantastic accomodation

  • 5 of 5

On arrival we were met by Graham and Kay and shown around the property and the swimming pool. They made us feel very welcome and a lovely touch was the cream tea and bottle of wine waiting for us in the cottage! The cottage has a very homely, comforting feel and was spotlessly clean and incredibly well equipped !

Overall we had a wonderful stay and our hosts were very helpful when it came to questions about where to eat/ where to go etc.

We will definitely be recommending Graham and Kay's lovely holiday home to our friends and family.

Absolute gem! Just perfect.

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have asked for a warmer welcome (lovely cream tea and bottle of wine!) or more friendly and helpful hosts. The cottage itself was well equipped and v comfy with a lovely secluded garden. The pool and hot tub were fantastic and used every day. Everything was spotless. A great location too both for beaches and attractions like lost gardens of heligan. Would thoroughly recommend.

Perfect cottage, perfect location, perfect hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was perfect! Lovely warm welcome from hosts Kay & Graham (definitely two of the nicest, most helpful people in the business). The cottage was beautiful and spotlessly clean throughout. Extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay - even down to things like cling film!! We had some of the best nights sleep there as the location is so tranquil and no light pollution. The pool and hot tub were an added luxury and very well kept. The location was spot on. It was close enough to a town for shopping, meals out etc but far enough out for peace and quiet. Only a short drive to beautiful Looe and Polperro. We can thoroughly recommend this property and can honestly say it is one of the best we have ever stayed in. We will definitely be returning one day. Thank you Kay and Graham for a wonderful stay. We look forward to seeing you again in the future.
