The property was refurbished in 2013,with a completely new kitchen new sanitary ware in the bathrooms and the garden area transformed. There are three twin bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge diner and kitchen. Outside there is a pool area, two patios for relaxation/dining and orange and lemon trees. A car port and a further room which contains the washing machine and pool toys etc. The villa has recently been awarded an Alojamento local licence which is now compulsory for rental properties and involves electricity and gas checks fire extinguishers and fire blankets are prominently displayed within the property.Our reference number for this certificate is 800/AL

Outside: The property has a small garden area to the front planted with flowers. At the rear of the property through the lounge patio doors is a two tier patio area covered by a sail for shade, Orange and lemon trees and plants, the area outside the patios is gravelled. The kidney shaped pool was re tiled in 2012 and is approximately 8mx4m it is surrounded by a tiled area which has the pool furniture and loungers, a barbecue is built in at the side of the pool. A car port provides a drying area and access to the utility room with washing machine. A further tiled patio can be used for dining or sunbathing and is adjacent to a gravelled area with other plants and another lemon tree. Utility Room: Washing machine, cleaning equipment Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen changed weekly. Poolside towels are also provided.

An amazing villa located in a quiet part of town

This villa was absolutely amazing and fully equipped with everything you could need for a weeks stay. There is a full entertainment system and Bluetooth speakers, a lovely kitchen, washing machine, 2 bathrooms and much more.

The outdoor pool was amazing as well as the loungers for private sunbathing. We absolutely loved our stay there, the villa is super comfortable and relaxing. The villa is located in really quiet area a short drive from Luz and Lagos and was perfect to get away from the busier towns and relax

Mark was super helpful with his tips of what to do in the local area and where to visit. Luz Cars was also a great hire company tip. We mainly travelled into Lagos to explore and eat as well as taking car rides to Salema, Sagres and Monchique in the mountains which are recommended. The smaller beaches of Lagos like Camilo were our favourites as well as the beaches in Salema. The beach of Sagres is great too to watch the surfers - the waters can get pretty rough there though. Our favourite restaurants in the local area were Casinha Do Pestiso & Restaurant De Camilo in Lagos

We will definitely book this villa again on our return to the Algarve and will be recommending our friends and family to do the same

Extremely Dissatisfied!

Pros: Large house, Clean, swimming pool.

Cons: Hard uncomfortable beds

Major Con: CONSTRUCTION directly behind the property 6 out of 7 days from 7am-7pm. The noise from the construction made the outside pool and living space completely unusable. We were NOT informed of the construction by the owner beforehand and would have reconsidered renting if we had known. The homeowner had full knowledge of the construction since he was there the week prior. We were forwarned of construction at another property we considered renting and were offered a 40% discount on the rental. We chose this villa because we thought it would be quiet. Upon returning home we contacted the owner to convey our severe disastisfaction. We informed the owner of this villa that we thought some sort of compensation would be fair. The owner of this property was extremely rude and unprofessional and went as far as to accuse us of blackmail. We were merely seeking some sort of resolution after our horrible stay, before we wrote a negative review. Unfortunately, this situation ruined our holiday.

Owner's Response: We were surprised to find you had not enjoyed your stay with us after hearing nothing expressing your dissatisfaction during your stay. If you had something could perhaps have been done. I had been at the villa the week prior to yours and the construction going on at that time comprised of the external painting of a villa over the road to the rear of ours and was certainly not going on for twelve hours a day. Your initial e mail to me stated that you thought a 40% reduction in your rental fees would be in order as recompense prior to you writing a review I thought this improper. As regards the beds being hard unfortunately each individual has their own preferences.

Relaxation Heaven

Superb luxurious villa. Comfortable and homely. Every need is catered for to relax and unwind. Plenty of space , very clean and well maintained. The pool is just fabulous . Good WIFI which came in handy for emails etc . Most places to visit are a short taxi ride away . What you see on the website is exactly what you get and Mark was easy to contact for advice. Highly recommend this villa if you want a peaceful relaxing break. Loved it and would not hesitate to return. Mark and family , thank you for sharing your fabulous holiday home with us!

Lovely villa, everything you could want and perfect location for exploring this fantastic coastline.

This is the first time we have been to this area of Portugal and drove from Faro airport, having rented a car there - this was quick and straight forward.

Mark and Julie's villa was easy to find due to the directions they provide in their welcome pack, together with extremely useful information about the local area, beaches and restaurants etc.

The villa itself more than met our expectations, it is clean,comfortable and spacious with everything we needed, provided, even down to the beach brolly!

We particularly liked the outside terrace where we had breakfast and evening meals and also the barbecue area is a big plus.

The pool is a perfect size and is cleaned and maintained every week, plenty of sunbeds, couldn't be better.

Praia du Luz is only a 5 minute drive away and Lagos 10 minutes.

We would definitely recommend Mark and Julie's villa and would have no hesitation in booking it again in the future.

To sum up - we had a brilliant family holiday - the villa was perfect and the whole area left a great lasting impression.

A Fabulous Holiday

We are a group of two adults and two boys aged 17 and 14. We booked this villa based on the pictures and they didn't disappoint!! The villa was clean and ready for us on our arrival. The pool was lovely and really refreshing after an hours sunshine. If I was being HYPER critical, the wifi was fine within the villa but was a little hit and miss if you strayed too far from the router, the ironing board was as old as my granny and could do with replacing and it was a little warm in the night without a/c but this is me being nit picking. You soon got used to the lack of a/c and there are plenty of places around the pool where the wifi works fine.

The villa is situated on a small plot about 1/2 mile outside Luz and a few miles outside Lagos.

From our original email to Mark he was prompt and polite with his replies. An added bonus was that he let us stay at the villa till 1700 on our departure date as our flight wasn't until 2155. His charge?? Nothing!!

We spent most of our evenings in Lagos where there is food for any tastebuds and budget. We found Mark's info sheet he sends you invaluable especially about the hire car (you need one) and the restaurants. Our favourite was Alloro...You GOTTA eat here.

Beaches were lovely. If you have kids who like to bodyboard there are plenty of beaches in driving distance. We especially liked Ingrina. There are two bodyboards at the villa, left by me!

All in all a lovely villa that I wouldn't hesitate to stay at again

The most local beach Is Praia da Luz which is approximately 1.5km away but there are lots of others within five minutes drive away including Porto Mos, Praia Dona Ana and a few more minutes the main Lagos beach of Meia Praia. We also visit a number of other beaches within 15 minutes, Burgau and Salema. The West Coast surfing beaches are 25-30 mins drive away.


The nearest airport is Faro and is approx 80 km away and takes 50 minutes to arrive at the villa.


Praia Da Luz 1.5 km, Lagos 3km,Portimao 30km, The mountains of Monchique are about a forty minute drive away.

Zoo Marine where you can swim with the dolphins and waterparks are approximately 30 minutes away by car.

Further Details:

Both Praia da Luz and Lagos have Supermarkets and Chemists, Banks, Bars and numerous restaurants.
