Welcome to our beachfront sunny apartment in Marina de la Duquesa in Costa del Sol!. The apartment has been furnished to a very high standard and enjoys sea views and a southwest orientation that brings sun all day long. Its privileged position within a fantastic holiday complex (Marina de la Duquesa) brings many hours of sun to this property while allowing guests to benefit from sea views across the communal swimming pools and gardens. There is a terraced area that is perfect to enjoy meals outside or a few drinks as the sun goes down. Originally fitted out to a high standard it has been recently uplifted to a modern look and presentation. It has central air conditioning and heating. The apartment enjoys all the mod cons and has every item you would expect in your own home including a **48 inches flat screen TV** and broadband internet. Furniture is new and modern and the apartment has been tastefully decorated.

The beach is right in front of the apartment and amenities within one minute walk.

We (myself,wife & 18month old son) stayed for 5nights whilst visiting relatives. Great location - 1min walk to marina bars and restaurants, gate at front leads to beach, 10min walk to larger supermarket. Apartment was perfect for our needs - travel cot and separate room for our son was ideal. Even at start of January the balcony got the sun from around 10am-3pm - and we had fantastic weather to enjoy it. Best communication with an owner we've ever had - replied very quickly to booking queries and requests before, during and after our stay. Deposit returned quickly. A thoroughly enjoyable stay. TA REVIEW.

Lovely break!

Had a great week staying in duquesa for our first family holiday. Apartment is very well equipped and family friendly. Weather was great but a bit too hot for our 8 month old. Would probably go late September next time.

Great place for a completely relaxing holiday

I would definitely recommend holidaying at La Duquesa - Alvaro's apartment overlooks one of four swimming pools in a large complex. We decided, based on previous recommendations, not to hire a car and did not regret it. We wanted a 'flop and drop' holiday which is exactly what my husband, plus our two teenagers (girl & boy) got - with a beautiful beach literally on our doorstep our only major decision each day was pool - which one, or the beach! Thank you to previous people who left the beach mat and umbrella, most welcome!

The port caters for the Brits in Spain, with some great restaurants and bars, whilst to the left Sabinillas has a more traditional Spanish feel, complete with tapas bars and fishermen barbecuing in up turned boats. The apartment itself is nicely furnished - having a dishwasher was a real benefit so that when we did eat in there was little washing up! The kids were happy with the wi-fi and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening sun.

We did hire bikes which meant we could visit the furthest beach bar restaurants - Chiringuito Floria, well worth a visit, definitely the best prawn pil pil and sangria by far! Next year the coastal path should be finished so you can cycle through to Sotogrande, as it's flat it's a relatively easy.

A big thank you to Alvaro, who always promptly replied to my queries and was great organising our transfer. If you do decide to go in the height of season be mindful that the lifeguards do enforce the 'no ball' rule and definitely no inflatables in the pool.

Fabulous apartment, immaculate clean, everything you could possibly require the apartment had available to us, it was like home from home, the location was perfect. Access to the Beach, 4 swimming pools, the Marina and to the towns on either side of the apartment complex gave us a great choice of restaurants, bars and shops.

Fantastic holiday home from home

Great 2 bed 2 bath apartment with seaview balcony overlooking central pools and gardens with secure car parking. All mod cons included, really was a home from home. Perfect for kids with large play areas. Would recommend La Duquesa for a family, couples or golfers with every one catered for. Perfect halfway point between Gibraltar and Puerto Banus. Alvaro was most helpful with instructions for everything. Would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you so much.

We've been living around Duquesa area since 2005. Duquesa benefits from great weather throughout the year and a unique balance between nature and civilization. We have a great variety of beaches ranging from the tranquil, where is possible to spend all day in almost complete isolation, to the busy and bustling dotted with chiringuitos and water sports facilities. Duquesa port and Marina offers a great variety of bars and restaurants as well as all year through night entertainment. The holiday resort is in a perfect location right in front of the sea and yet very close to all amenities.

Activity and Interests

Shopping in Gibraltar is a must that can be easily scheduled when visiting the region.

Duquesa port can also be chosen as a base to explore the most beautiful and typical andalucian cities and attractions.

Daily excursions (Granada, Sevilla, Ronda, Gibraltar) and short trips (whale watching, aquatic park, zoo) can be arranged for you during your stay, just ask!!

Coast/Beach:

We are very lucky in this part of the coast to have so many fabulous blue flag beaches on our doorstep. Actually there is one beach 20 meters away from our holiday apartment.The proximity of the Castillo and Sabinillas beaches are extremely convenient for those of you staying in and around the Marina, however if you have transport it is worth venturing a little further afield and visiting some of our neighbouring stretches of sand.

Travel:

In the west Costa del Sol of Spain, the holiday rental is just 90 kms away from Malaga's airport and 25 from Gibraltar´s. We can arrange transfers for you.

Car is not essential.

Our apartment and holiday complex is just 50 meters away from Duquesa Port and Marina.

Duquesa port is a marina for recreational boats where one can find enough cafes, bars, and restaurants to suit everybody's taste. There are over 30 restaurant and bar options ranging from excellent international cuisine to pub food to takeaways. This wonderful marina is a lively and welcoming place to be both day and night and is a wonderful setting to enjoy your holiday. Here you can spend time in the numerous restaurants and bars that overlook the marina and far out to sea.

Our holiday resort, Marina de la Duquesa, is a front line development perfectly situated to enjoy both the beaches and a great variety of bars and restaurants. On your doorstep is the ''New Golden Mile'' beachside promenade which joins the charming seaside town of Sabinillas to the lively international marina of Puerto Duquesa and, a bit further away, to the little town of Castillo de la Duquesa. Both towns are ideal to get more into the real spain feeling and enjoying the typical spanish food and tapas.

There are no high rise hotels or apartment blocks in Duquesa, which has helped to maintain its charm and its character. The blue flag sandy beach stretches past Sabanillas to Estepona. On the other side it winds along the coast to the well known resort of Sotogrande. The Duquesa waterfront is closed to traffic making it safe for families´holidays.

There are three big supermarkets less than 150 meters away from the apartment and the two nearest cash points at Duquesa port.

Manilva is a wonderful area to enjoy a range of activities for the whole family. Activities in Manilva include water sports and horse riding and there is always lots of things to do and fun events for children.

In Estepona you have the Selwo African animal reserve and you are a short drive away from the aqua parks of Mijas and the cable lift and marine park in Benalmadena.

The most attractive thing about our property is its location: we offer beach holidays with a beach right at the resort's gate. And, if you prefer swimming pools, there are four of them in the holiday complex. Other than that, the complex is right next to Duquesa Port and Marina and within easy walking distance to the nearby towns of Castillo de la Duquesa and Sabinillas. More benefits include three big supermarkets within 150 meters of the apartment, an underground private parking space (in case you decide to hire a car) and a beautiful promenade right at your doorstep.
