A lovely small but perfectly formed barn in the Cotswolds. I must admit that the height of the front door was a shock for a tall guy, however the sitting room & bedrooms more than made up for it. The location in a small idyllic hamlet near Cirencester was excellent, & as both myself & my son are sports nuts Sky Sport was a real bonus. Charles was a gracious host, although a small guided tour would have been appreciated.
Great accommodation Clean, well presented. Everything you need . Lovely garden to sit in the sun and BBQ. Helpful host . Good location, for places to visit . Enjoyed Cirencester. Lots of local walks . Look forward to the next visit.
Overall we will have had a very relaxing week at the Long Barn. Beds were very comfortable with good quality linen. I won’t comment on the facilities that are missing as I knew this to be the case on booking. However I do think room is available for a fridge freezer if some unneeded furniture was removed.
Our host Charles is very pleasant and accommodating. I think due to it being the end of the Summer season the property is due for a deep clean but this did not detract from our enjoyment of the Long Barn.
We had a fantastic stay at the long barn last week. The host, Charles, was full of useful information about the surrounding areas and the walks that could be taken and the places we could visit. There were several maps and instructions in the barn which could be used if Charles was not around. The barn was absolutely stunning and was lovely and clean. We had everything we needed and the quiet was absolute bliss! Thank you Charles for a fantastic stay, we all really enjoyed ourselves

I spent 4 years restoring it to the current condition. We have been amazed how well it has rented... 21 weeks last year and are pleasantly surprised by the positive comments and feedback to date. I think you will like it.
Why they chose this property
I bought Pound Cottage and The Long Barn in 1987 when my mother said it was the prettiest Cotswold Cottage and set of outbuildings she had even seen in one of the prettiest and quietest of hamlets of the Cotswold's. Well what could I do ..mother had spoken !
What makes this property unique
The Long Barn is situated near our house Pound Cottage in the quiet hamlet of Duntisbourne Abbots and really the very local area is simply stunning and very quiet despite the odd car or tractor. You can walk the local villages or hamlets and for the more adventurous there are well sign posted walks along rural footpaths. We use the Long Barn for our weekend guests occasionally and they all seem to relax in it and the lower garden and rarely want to leave.
