Church Farm Cottages provides luxury holiday accommodation in a Norfolk seaside village within walking distance of the beach. We are able to accommodate up to 20 people in four converted brick & flint barns and stables which can be let individually, or in any combination of the four. Marram House has 2 double bedrooms (both with ensuites) and a 3rd bedroom that sleeps (with ensuite wet room). Herring House has a main bedroom with ensuite, a bunk room with family bathroom and a large and light 1st floor living room. (Sleeps 4). Natterjack Cottage is a converted stable (sleeps 4) with solid oak floors and a bright open-plan kitchen/dining/living space. Bobtail Cottage (sleeps 4) is has a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows, oak floors lots of original features and a secluded garden. Winterton-on-Sea is a delightful seaside village where you can relax on the beach, take long walks, spot seals and other wildlife or unwind at the beach cafe or the pub.

The two double bedrooms have 5' double beds and ensuites (one with a bath, one with a shower) whilst the third bedroom has a bunk bed (big enough for adults), two twin beds and it's own wetroom. There is a large kitchen/dining room with modern appliances and plenty of fridge and freezer space. The highlight is a very large upstairs living room with floor-to-ceiling windows. Outside there is a small private garden and a larger garden shared with the other cottages.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our Holiday Cottages and how we look after our guests (please read our reviews). The price you pay for your holiday is always the total amount – we never charge extra for pets, fuel or firewood.

We have also managed to negotiate a number of exclusive discounts for our guests with local businesses , including the Fishermans Return pub in Winterton-on-Sea.

About the Owner

We're a couple with young children who loved the beach and village of Winterton-on-Sea so much, we wanted to share it with other people. We have also got immense satisfaction from providing some really top-quality holiday accommodation to people who are either discovering Winterton for the first time or re-visiting a favourite destination. It's been great to introduce the peace and quiet of the village and the friendliness of the locals to our guests and to meet some really nice people along the way who have been kind enough to say some lovely things about Church Farm Cottages.

"Natterjack cottage was a true home from home. We found the owner very friendly, approachable and helpful. The secure garden was perfect for us having young children and dogs. The dog friendly beach was only a short walk away and we even saw a seal! Winterton itself is a lovely quiet village with a pub, post office, shops and a fish and chip shop. The beach café served great food and drink too. All in all for us it was perfect, can't wait to go back"

We bought Coastguard Cottage in Winterton-on-Sea in 2011 because we were spending so much time at the beach there with our two children. We loved staying there but also loved to see how much other people enjoyed Winterton when we had guests. We started to let out Coastguard Cottage in 2012 and had such success that we decided to expand our horizons by buying Church Farm Cottages. We loved the brick and flint buildings, the flexibility of the accommodation and the chance to put our stamp on a new project. The reaction so far has been fantastic!

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The sandy beach at Winterton-on-Sea is 10 minutes walk away (800m). It is great for families and dogs are allowed on the beach all year round. The Beach Cafe serves great breakfasts, lovely lunches and tempting teas. You can often see seals from the local grey seal colony swimming offshore and the dunes are perfect for walking through or spotting marsh harriers and other rare bird-life.

Travel:

Nearest airport - Norwich (25 miles)

Nearest railway station - Great Yarmouth (9 miles)

Further Details:

Winterton-on-Sea has a village post office, a convenience store, a fish and chip shop and an excellent local pub, the Fishermans Return.

The beautiful Norfolk Broads are just 3 miles away. Boats can be hired or wildlife watched.

The county city of Norwich is 25 miles/30 mins drive away combining historic buildings and modern shopping and entertainment.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is generally Friday or Saturday but this is flexible outside of the summer.

Prices vary considerably from £395 per week for a 2 bed cottage in the winter to £3,150 for all four cottages in August. Please call us to discuss your exact requirements and we'll come up a rate to match.

We particularly wanted to provide high-quality facilities for our guests. We've all stayed in holiday cottages that have tired decor and furnishings and we thought that, if our guests were entrusting their holiday to us, we should do everything we could to make our cottages a home-from-home. We think our interiors are fresh and relaxing, our furnishings are comfortable and stylish and we ensure that the cottages are always spotlessly clean.
