Set just above the harbour and historic old town, the Little House is the ideal choice for your stay in the charming seaside town of Looe. Built in1905, this characterful property is spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Originally converted from an old chapel, the house has many impressive character features such as the vaulted ceiling in the lounge, wooden staircase which sweeps through the property and large arched windows which flood the house with light and offer great views to the harbour. The location is ideal - peaceful, yet only moments from the town centre with all its excellent restaurants, shops and amenities. The working harbour is 2 minutes away and the golden sandy beach is only a short (4 minute) walk from the house. Short term Parking 1 minute away at the Quayside Carpark and long-term car-park only 5-6 mins walk from the house. The Little House is light, spacious, comfortable and perfectly located for the beach, harbour and coastal path.

My husband John and I purchased The Little House in July 2013 having fallen in love with it on the first viewing. We wanted a special property to run as our holiday let and the uniqueness of The Little House and its excellent location made it the perfect choice. We live in West Looe so are here to welcome our guests personally to The Little House and are always just a phone call away if needed. Thanks so much for a lovely, relaxing break! The Little House is a perfect place to stay and you have thought of everything to make your guests feel comfortable, with lots of little extras. I would say it's a 'home from home', but I think it's nicer than my home! Even the weather was good. Hope to come back again and can't wait to recommend the Little House to others. (Great communication as well).

Perfect base for a wonderful holiday, thank you.

We had a wonderful time and this cottage was the perfect base for exploring Cornwall and lovely to return after a busy day sight-seeing to a cozy, comfortable home.. Sharon and John were extremely helpful from the start and the cottage was well equipped, very clean, spacious and in a great location for everything. One of the things we loved was that there was such a vast choice of restaurants and pubs just afew minutes walk away - our favorite was the Old Sail Loft where we had 2 excellent evening meals. On John's advice, we did the walk between Looe and Polperro the reverse way around - we got the bus to Polperro and walked back to Looe so we came down the very steep hill at Talland rather than having to walk up it which you would have to do if you walked from Looe. The walk was well worth doing for the fabulous scenery and sea views, but was a bit tough going in places with lots of steps! A boat trip up the river was another highlight. Looe has plenty to offer and is a great base for exploring more of Cornwall. It was always lovely to get back 'home' at the end of the day and we hope to return for longer next time. Thank you Sharon and John for being excellent hosts and for letting us enjoy your lovely home.

A wonderful place to stay, a real gem

We have stayed in Looe many times over the years and this has been our favorite place to stay by far. We arrived to a warm, friendly welcome from the owner in to a clean, bright, comfortable home. The living room is really special with fabulous panoramic views and the whole house is full of charm and character with lots of lovely touches and everything needed for a holiday and more. The customer service from the owners was excellent from the first enquiry and you can see that they have real pride in their property and genuinely care about their guests. The house is very close to town, so no car needed as everything is so close by. The walk back from town is up quite a steep slope, but it's only a short distance and it's well worth it to be able to stay in such a fabulous property. We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to anyone.

Beautiful home, perfect location

Everything you could wish for in a holiday home. Loads of space, full of charm, immaculately clean and stunning views of boats lit up in the harbour at night, we absolutely loved it and could easily move in for good. The photos lived up to expectations and being able to cook in a roomy kitchen and have meals round a big table was a change from other cramped holiday cottages we've stayed in before, plus the dishwasher makes life very easy when cooking for a family. Both bedrooms are a good size with big closets and having 2 loos was also very handy. The owners have thought of everything and were very helpful with booking and information about where to park and directions. We arrived to a warm welcome from John who took time to show us how everything worked and told us to call if there was anything we needed. We loved Looe and there is so much to see and do that we wish we could have stayed for longer - we will next time! Thank you Sharon and John for a memorable, happy holiday.

A real find in a brilliant holiday location

Spacious, light, comfortable, fresh & clean, very well equipped, tastefully decorated with good quality furniture and interesting things, great views, quiet &relaxing and located in a brilliant holiday location with great beach and plenty to see and do. We were met by the owner who gave us a lovely welcome and the communication before we arrived was excellent. Yes, we'd definitely recommend this property to friends and family without hesitation - it's a real find and we're already planning a return visit to this charming home.

Welcoming, homely and relaxing

We loved our stay at the 'Little House' and felt completely at home from the moment we arrived. It was spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything we needed and more. The views are wonderful and the situation is perfect as everything is just a short walk away. Sharon and John are excellent hosts who kept in touch before and during our stay and there is plenty of local information provided in the impressive welcome folder which was a mine of useful information. We will miss the comfort, the views, the harbour - and even the seagulls! We will definitely come back to Looe and can think of no better place to stay - we were very sad to leave.

Wish we could have stayed longer!

We were visiting friends in the area and stayed only a few days in Looe, it really should have been longer!

Great accommodation conveniently located for all amenities and the hill really does get less steep after a couple of ascents.

Looe has shops, beach, walking routes, boats, pubs, restaurants etc. everything conveniently located within walking distance of the Little House which is equipped for all occasions.

Like other reviewers we loved The Little House; John and Sharon deserve their success as hosts and we wish them well for the future not least because we hope to return to the area.

Communication is key and Sharon is to be commended for the way we were kept informed both before and during our stay.

Numerous attractions within 30 - 40 minutes drive to suit most tastes, if you're here for a few days National Trust membership is worth consideration.

Owing to a landslip in the area there is a road closure on the approach to Looe (diversion signs not immediately obvious if you're not local) and you might finish up in No Mans Land.!

We fell in love with Looe when we first visited in 2011 - so much so that we moved here full time in December 2012. We wanted to set up our own business and felt that a holiday letting property would be the ideal choice for us. We kept the Looe estate agents very busy while we looked for the perfect property and saw a lot of charming cottages and nice apartments..... but the second we walked into The Little House we knew it was 'the one' as it was completely different to anything else we'd seen. Built in 1905 as an additional wing to the existing chapel, the double height vaulted ceilings, striking arched windows and great harbour views add to its charm and character and we look forward to sharing this special home with our future and returning guests.

Kayaking (sea and river). Sailing (Looe has an active programme of sailing events and a Yacht Club), Rowing Club (Gigs) and a host of other water and land based activities.

The Little House is a lot more spacious than most other holiday lets in Looe - the huge arched windows and double height ceilings flood the living areas with light and there are great views to the harbour from the living room. WiFi, heating and electricity are all included free of charge (many Looe holiday lets still have pay-as-you-go electric meters and charge extra for heating, so it is always worth checking what's included). The kitchen at the Little House is a good size, so perfect for preparing meals when you choose to eat at home, with the added advantage of a dishwasher and separate freezer. Set just above the main town, the house is in a peaceful location - yet a 30 second walk takes you into the heart of the town with its excellent selection of shops , first class restaurants and bars. The lively working harbour is only 2 minutes away and the fabulous golden sandy beach is a 4 minutes walk from the house through the quaint charming back streets of East Looe. Its uniqueness and perfect location really does make the Little House stand out from the crowd.

Outside: There is a tap at the rear of the house for washing sandy beach toys, muddy boots,etc, and an outer lockable passageway for storing beach toys, boots, etc. Although there is no outside space,, the lounge has 4 large windows which fill the room with light and air and have great views to the harbour - it's a fabulous space to chill out in with a glass of wine or to watch the activity on the river and with the windows open, you get the cooling breeze and sunshine in the summer, so the comfort of being inside with the fresh air, views and sunshine of being outside. The harbour with pavement cafes is a 2 minute walk away and the beach a short 4 minute stroll. Laundry: There is a launderette in West Looe within 10 minutes walk of the house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen, Towels and T-towels included. (Please bring your own towels and beach towels). Cleaning service can be arranged. Other: There is an outer passage way where bikes, pushchairs, beach toys, etc can be safely left and an outside tap for washing off sandy feet, wetsuits, beach toys, etc.
