House in Looe, Cornwall, England - Peaceful Location, Yet Moments From Town & Only 3 Minutes Walk To The Fabulous Sandy Beach

Set just above the harbour and historic old town, the Little House is the ideal choice for your stay in the charming seaside town of Looe. Built in1905, this characterful property is spacious, comfortable and welcoming. Originally converted from an old chapel, the house has many impressive character features such as the vaulted ceiling in the lounge, wooden staircase which sweeps through the property and large arched windows which flood the house with light and offer great views to the harbour. The location is ideal - peaceful, yet only moments from the town centre with all its excellent restaurants, shops and amenities. The working harbour is 2 minutes away and the golden sandy beach is only a short (4 minute) walk from the house. Short term Parking 1 minute away at the Quayside Carpark and long-term car-park only 5-6 mins walk from the house. The Little House is light, spacious, comfortable and perfectly located for the beach, harbour and coastal path.

About Sharon Germain & John Barry

My husband John and I purchased The Little House in July 2013 having fallen in love with it on the first viewing. We wanted a special property to run as our holiday let and the uniqueness of The Little House and its excellent location made it the perfect choice. We live in West Looe so are here to welcome our guests personally to The Little House and are always just a phone call away if needed. We take great pride in ensuring our guests have a wonderful stay in The Little House and Looe.

Why Sharon Germain & John Barry chose Looe

We fell in love with Looe when we first visited in 2011 - so much so that we moved here full time in December 2012. We wanted to set up our own business and felt that a holiday letting property would be the ideal choice for us. We kept the Looe estate agents very busy while we looked for the perfect property and saw a lot of charming cottages and nice apartments..... but the second we walked into The Little House we knew it was 'the one' as it was completely different to anything else we'd seen. Built in 1905 as an additional wing to the existing chapel, the double height vaulted ceilings, striking arched windows and great harbour views add to its charm and character and we look forward to sharing this special home with our future and returning guests.

What makes this cottage unique

The Little House is a lot more spacious than most other holiday lets in Looe - the huge arched windows and double height ceilings flood the living areas with light and there are great views to the harbour from the living room. WiFi, heating and electricity are all included free of charge (many Looe holiday lets still have pay-as-you-go electric meters and charge extra for heating, so it is always worth checking what's included). The kitchen at the Little House is a good size, so perfect for preparing meals when you choose to eat at home, with the added advantage of a dishwasher and separate freezer. Set just above the main town, the house is in a peaceful location - yet a 30 second walk takes you into the heart of the town with its excellent selection of shops , first class restaurants and bars. The lively working harbour is only 2 minutes away and the fabulous golden sandy beach is a 4 minutes walk from the house through the quaint charming back streets of East Looe. Its uniqueness and perfect location really does make the Little House stand out from the crowd.

Thanks so much for a lovely, relaxing break! The Little House is a perfect place to stay and you have thought of everything to make your guests feel comfortable, with lots of little extras. I would say it's a 'home from home', but I think it's nicer than my home! Even the weather was good. Hope to come back again and can't wait to recommend the Little House to others. (Great communication as well).

Notes on accommodation: Strictly No Smoking. Please give ages of Children at time of enquiry as the house is not suitable for under 5's. No Pets (guests who arrive with pets will be refused admission to the house and will forfeit the full rental charge). Check In Time 16:00, Check Out 10:00 latest. Outside: Although there is no outside space, the living room has 4 large windows which fill the room with light and air and have great views to the harbour - it's a fabulous space to relax in with a glass of wine or to watch the activity on the river. The harbour with pavement cafes is a 2 minute walk away and the beach a short 4 minute stroll. Laundry: There is a launderette in West Looe within a 10 minute walk from the house. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen, Towels, bath-mat and T-towels provided. (Please bring your own beach/pool towels).

Great apartment, very central to the town and beach.

Very helpful owners right from the minute you book!We were two couples staying and the apartment was perfect, would also be great for a family. It is right in the town, without being in a noisy street and only minutes from the beach. Its very spacious and has everything you need to cook though there are a lot of lovely cafes and restaurants in Looe. Having two toilets is a great plus too! We liked it so much we have booked to come back next year for slightly longer!

Just perfect for a peaceful getaway.

The property is amazingly quiet, very comfortable, and only a few minutes from the centre of Looe. The road up to it is quite steep, but it isn't far and the views of the harbour make it all worthwhile. The living room is very comfortable and had great views, the kitchen is very well equipped. Sharon and John are very considerate and helpful, thank you!

Great Stay at the Little House

The "upside down house" that is the Little House was absolutely perfect for our short stay in Looe. Although the weather was a little changeable we had a wonderful break aided by the ideal location of "our" cottage. The cottage was spotless and clearly much loved by the owners Sharon and John with all necessary amenities catered for including fridge/freezer/ dishwasher/TV and DVD. The living area (which was upstairs) had great views over the quayside to West Looe beyond.

East Looe abounds in great little shops and cafes with some really nice pubs and restaurants - I recommend the Old Sail Loft for a special meal - top notch food and service in a really nice setting (thanks John for recommending it to us).

I would not hesitate in recommending the Little House to family and friends and look forward to our next visit.

Comfortable house, well equipped.

This is a nice house in a great location. Shops, restaurant and beach in very easy walking distance. The house is on a quiet road so no noise from the town centre. Lovely view over the harbour. The owners are very helpful and made some great suggestions for what we could do during our visit.
