Beautiful Villa Suku With Private Pool & Garden - Free Transfers & Free WiFi

Updated: 18-Oct-2016
Villa in Dalyan, Aegean Region, Turkey - Peaceful Location, 10 Minutes Walk To The Town Centre

A peaceful holiday villa set in the beautiful scenery of Dalyan on the Mediterranean coast of Turkey. Villa Suku is in the Gulpinar area of town, 10 minutes walk from the centre.

Dalyan is set on the river opposite the impressive Lycian Rock Tombs, carved into the rock face these monuments create a wonderful scene viewed from many of the restaurants lining the riverfront when lit up in the evening. At one end of the river through the reed beds is lake Koycegiz, where you can enjoy the natural mud baths and thermal springs. At the other end is Iztuzu beach – more commonly known as ‘turtle’ beach, a breeding ground for the ancient loggerhead turtle. A 5k stretch of golden sand, the beach can easily be reached by road or even better by sailing down Dalyan river on the on the local co-op boats. Throughout Dalyan the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, with restaurants, shops and stalls providing for the needs of everyone. The market held in the main square every Saturday, is a great place for bargains and the best of fresh local produce.

About the Owner

We decided to buy Villa Suku after holidaying in Dalyan a few times. It is our much loved second home in the sun and we hope you will find it as special and welcoming as we do. Dalyan is so friendly and the surrounding area so beautiful we think you will want to keep coming back, and maybe you will want to buy here too - we're happy to help you with that.

Hi Mark

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our 2 weeks in Dalyan. The villa is beautiful with such a lovely garden and we we really warmed to Dalyan and the surrounding area - I am sure we will be making a return visit. I have rather reluctantly passed the villa details onto some friends who are interest (wanted to keep it for us!)

Kind regards

Perfect villa in a lovely setting !

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed at Villa Suku once before. We loved it then and just as much on our recent second visit. The property is well kept, well equipped, has comfortable and elegant furnishings and a short walk or quick cab ride into town. The pool is marvellous and is cleaned early every day. The new barbecue is a great addition which we enjoyed immensely. We visited as an adult family group - my wife and I, our two daughters and their partners and we all had a great time. I could go on but suffice it to say that I recommend this beautiful villa to anyone.

Lovely Villa

  • 5 of 5

We have been staying in Villas in Dalyan for 5 years + now. We have had some lovely Villas in the past but have never felt the need to go back to the same place twice. Villa Suku is by far and away the best Villa we have ever stayed in. It is the best equipped and has beautiful gardens.

It's quite a walk into town, if you like eating out at the far end of town it's probably a 20 minute stroll, fine for us!

We love Dalyan and finding Villa Suku has probably ensured we will keep on going back.

Almost loathe to write such a positive review in case too many people discover it!

Thanks Mark for making our stay so lovely. See you in September.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the positive review. We are planning a few upgrades this year - a marble topped table for the terrace, new sunloungers and parasols for the garden. If guests don't want to walk into town I can recommend the food and hospitality provided by Kudret at the Central Park Hotel...it's very popular with expats and only a couple of minutes walk from the villa. Look forward to welcoming you back in September.

Beautiful villa. Everything you need.

  • 5 of 5

We loved our short stay at villa suka. The furnishings are just like home, pool and garden were well maintained but what really set this villa apart were the thoughtful touches such as UK plugs in the bedrooms. Very handy when you have devices to charge. There is plenty of space in the grounds and ample sun beds. The kitchen is the best equipped I have come across in many years of self-catering. We ate out most nights there are some lovely restaurants in town especially if you like fresh fish. Thanks to Mark and Bob who catered for last minute changes to our arrival plans. Transport was excellent and we felt welcome from the moment we were met at the airport.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the kind words. We stay at the villa for 12 weeks each year so we like to maintain it as a functioning home - especially when it comes to kitchen equipment - and we believe that our guests should have the benefit when they come to stay...so only our personal stuff gets locked away. Always happy to be of assistance when there are last minute hiccups with travel plans! Glad that you enjoyed your stay.

Turkish delight

Everything about our stay was just perfect , from the simplicity of transfers and key handover to the beautifully presented villa

We loved the spacious gardens , kids loved the pool as did we as the temperatures soared , the spotlessly clean interior and well equipped kitchen . Everything was as described or even better we could not fault this property .

Managed to keep 3 generations happy

Mark was really helpful all through the booking process and was really prompt with email responses , really went the extra mile to help

I would thoroughly recommend the villa and would definitely return here , Dalyan was filled with friendly helpful people, who helped make our stay even more enjoyable . Our 6 year old daughter will never forget being captain of our boat on the river !

Really loved Alis restaurant in the town centre and chef steak house was a favourite ( sparkly cocktails went down very well )

An amazing stay in a wonderful villa with memories to last a lifetime

Thank you !

I could happily have lived here

Villa Suku

A perfect piece of Paradise!!

A very clean, charming and well cared for villa, which offers everything you could want or need. The added extras make Villa Suku feel like a home from home. You can see everything has been chosen carefully, with lots of thought.

Now to the Garden...

What a lovely place to spend your days!!

A beautiful big pool surrounded by amazing trees and plants, give the whole garden a charm all of its own. Again you can see that the garden has had a lot of thought and love poured into it.

A fantastic holiday in Dalyan, enhanced by the thoughtfulness of Villa Suku’s owners, Mark and Robert. Thank you for sharing your second home with us...we all had an amazing holiday. A thank you also goes to Dalyan Select, who were always there with a big smile and a helping hand if or when required.

I would highly recommend Villa Suku to anyone looking to holiday in Dalyan...the villa is amazing and a credit to its owners. Mark, Robert and Dalyan Select are all very helpful, friendly and professional...a real pleasure to deal with.

Thanks once again

We all hope to visit again soon!!

Villa Suku - Amazing !

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I, two daughters and their friends have just returned from a marvellous holiday in Dalyan. Villa Suku was perfect for us in every way - even better than it looked on the website. We instantly felt the ambience of the property. Obviously it is much loved by its owners and this is reflected in the comfort and quality of furnishings, kitchen, pool, garden, decoration - not a hint of the sterility of many rental properties. There was every home comfort - satellite tv, air con, digital music system and althought we did minimal cooking the kitchen was very well equipped with everything anyone could need.

The property was as described in every way and the cleaning and other support services were very good.

Dalyan is a lovely place that we have visited before and, when we go back we will be hoping to rent Villa Suku again.

I feel that this property would suit people of all ages and I have no hesitation in recommending Villa Suku - we loved it !

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your kind words Chris. We take our responsiblities to our guests very seriously and try to go the extra mile to provide as many home comforts as possible. It's vital to get the details right for something as important as a family holiday...and it is gratifying to hear from guests that we are hitting the mark. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Villa Suku sometime in the near future.

From the Owner

We like the fact that the villa is handy for the town centre but not too close. After a busy day sightseeing or lounging on Iztuzu Beach it's good to get back to your own space to freshen up. The garden and pool benefit from sunshine throughout the day and a lovely view towards the mountains - perfect for dining outdoors. There are many wonderful places to eat in Dalyan, but it's great to be able to make your own meals with some of the fantastic, fresh organic produce you can buy at the market.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Dalaman at 20 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Iztuzu at 7 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Iztuzu Beach, “Turtle Beach”, forms a natural barrier between the fresh water delta of Dalyan River and the Mediterranean. The beach itself is white sand. Due to the shallow water it is very well suited for families with small children. It is the main breeding ground for the loggerhead sea turtle, therefore no construction is allowed on the beach. Changing facilities, showers, wc's and a cafe selling hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks are available at both ends of the beach.

Dalyan is a 25 minutes drive from Dalaman Airport. Pre-booking transfers and car hire is recommended to take full advantage of the stunning scenery in this conservation area, but not essential. Local buses and boats will get you to most places in comfort and at a reasonable price. We can arrange transfers and car hire at very competitive rates through our villa agents in Dalyan.

Further Details:

Dalyan has dozens of restaurants to suit all tastes and wallets. As you pass them you will be 'invited' to be their guests in a friendly and not too pushy way. There are several cash machines in the town centre, a bank and supermarkets. Don't miss the Saturday market! Boat owners along the river offer excursions far and wide, shop around for exactly what you want...and don't forget to strike a good bargain.

From the Owner

Unlike some similar sized villas in the town, Villa Suku benefits from being on a large 700 square metres plot. The garden feels much more spacious and private - it's not just a pool area with a few shrubs around it. This Villa is our Dalyan home for most of the year. We like to leave it looking like a real home for guests so we only pack away personal items and clothing before the summer rental season. Many guests tell us that this makes a real difference to their holiday experience. The area has a real neighbourhood feel, something you don't get with villas that are part of a complex. Many of the properties near the villa are owned and occupied throughout the year by local Turks - and their chickens!
