Annisgarth Howe is a private one bedroomed hideaway, perfect for the couple wishing to get away from it all! It is beautifully decorated with Farrow and Ball colours, hand painted furniture and super design details. There are lots of added extras, to ensure your stay is just right. Your comfort is our priority, you will enjoy a lovely corner sofa with lots of handmade cushions, large flat screen TVs, iPod docking station and full WiFi internet signal. Should you wish to just chill, watch a movie or read a book, we have a mini library at your disposal. Cleanliness is also top of our list and to get your holiday off to the perfect start we include a welcome hamper!

We have owned this property for 9 years, it has been lovingly renovated to a very high standard. We live close by and are on hand should you need any help but love the fact you are secreted away so can be completely private if you so wish. Claudia and Henrietta, our hens will do their best to lay beautiful fresh eggs for your arrival!

Wonderfully Relaxing Stay

We came away to relax and the property did exactly that - it facilitated our relaxation. It is so close to Bowness, to Windermere and all the various attractions in the Lake Distruct. There are innumerable food outlets, restaurants etc within easy reach. The Ferry across the lake and in up to Hawkshead, Coniston and Ambleside/ Grasmere was fun. We even took in a movie at the cinema. It was so comfortable that at times we simply stayed in and chilled out. There is nothing we were short of at the property and there was a generous food pack on arrival including bread, milk and other goodies. The property was so clean it felt like home from home! Many many thanks for a great stay! Will definitely recommend it to friends and family.

Possibly one of the loveliest places to stay in the Lakes!

Me and my partner had an amazing week with the property being situated so close to the lake and shops, but far enough away to feel like we were on our own and with no light pollution the sky was truly magical at night! Especially with the owl who kept saying hello.

Friendly owners who added a few personal touches, like the hamper and bits in the cupboards really added to the character of the property.

We would recommend it to anyone looking for a week or weekend away and we're already planning another visit next year!

A lovely cottage for two, beautifully furnished and decorated with a private little garden ideal for summer evenings. It is perfectly placed in a quiet location but within easy walking distance of Bowness, Windermere and the lake.

The owners are next door and happy to help if you need them.

Perfect retreat!

From the moment of arrival we were thrilled with the charm of the property. It has absolutely everything one would need from a temporary home; the welcome hamper being a really lovely touch. All the rooms are decorated to a high standard. It was easy to relax here. The terraced garden provided a great spot for sitting out in the evenings. It's location is perfect; just a short walk to either Bowness or Windermere and central for exploring the whole Lakes.

Unless you are visiting to walk or cycle, it is advisable to have a car during your stay.

Annisgarth Howe is the perfect location. It is quietly tucked away but you can walk to the top of Brantfell in 20 mins, where you will enjoy the spectacular view of Lake Windermere, you can even see the sea on a clear day! Should you prefer the shops and local hostelries a ten minute walk will do the job. Another couple of minutes will bring you directly to the watersedge, with the chance to hop on a steamer for a magical trip on the Lake.
