A Luxury apartment in this elegant Georgian Grade II listed Crescent overlooking parkland and with panoramic sea views. This one bedroom 2nd floor
apartment has been extensively refurbished to a very high standard. This apartment comprises of hallway, lounge, kitchen, one bedroom and bathroom. It is within close proximity to The South Bay beach the historic Scarborough Castle. Scarborough Art Gallery, the Rotunda Museum and of course The Scarborough Spa. The Brunswick Centre is a prestigious all-weather shopping centre with a department store and thirty-five other retail outlets. The centre is located in Scarborough's pedestrianised shopping precinct, which with the surrounding streets, has many individual boutiques, specialist shops and inviting cafes and bars, just around the corner from the apartment. By night you will be spoilt for choice with four fantastic theatres. The most famous is the Stephen Joseph Theatre. Music lovers can visit Scarborough's Open Air Theatre or Spa.
Previous reviews have said it all. Immaculately presented and maintained holiday rental, with very helpful unobtrusive owners, who provided many thoughtful touches such as chocolates, wine and dressing gowns, even when it was a last minute booking.
Location is excellent, being no more than 5-10 mins walk from most of the attractions that Scarborough has to offer. The provision of a parking space is an added bonus to explore this lovely area further afield.
If you just wanted to relax and enjoy the apartment it compares very favourably with other properties we've rented at higher price points. With a well equipped kitchen, sky tv when the weather isn't great and comfy chairs by the large sash windows if you enjoy people watching in the small park immediately in front of the building.
As a history buff, I loved the fact that we got to stay in the very same Crescent that sufferred shell damage from the famous east coast battleship raids during the First World War, (the end property still bears the scars).
We normally stay in nice hotels but we stayed here over the August bank holiday weekend with our 14 year old daughter and niece. The apartment is beautifully furnished, with stunning views over a park looking out to the sea. Booking was easy and It was lovely to meet the owners when we got there. They had thoughtfully left us some provisions in the fridge including milk, butter, wine and a cake.
The place was spotless and felt safe enough to leave windows open as it is a secure building. Everything is in walking distance so we parked up and only used the car to go to York and Whitby but spent the rest of the time waking to beach, local shops, bars and restaurants. We had a really lovely time, didn't want to leave and would definitely like to return in the future. It would be difficult to find a nicer place than this to stay in, thank you Liz and Kevin.
We are a family with two small children who rented the apartment for two nights in July. This is one of the nicest rental apartment I have ever rented before, and looks even better than in the pictures. It is super modern.
The apartment is also one of the best provisioned rental apartments I have stayed in. The fridge had milk, fresh juice, cake - even a bottle of wine. There were some chocolates for the children. The kitchen has all you need, also some spices, breakfast cereals, kitchen roll, washing machine etc. There is no dish washer. The beds and pillows were fantastic.
The one thing I was missing was a balcony to relax on in the sun, but luckily there is a park right outside.
The location is right outside the city center and the beach is only a 5-10 min walk away, depending on if you have children or not. The view from the apartment is fantastic, with a view to the park and the sea. I am so glad we found this apartment and if we are in the area again we will definitely rent it again. I had contact with Liz, and most times she replied within just minutes of me sending email.
Thank you for a great stay!
We stayed at this beautiful flat for two nights in June and it wasn't long enough. Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, we could not fault it. Great location, just out of the way of the hustle and bustle of the seafront but still close enough to be near the main attractions, literally a five minute walk and near to the cliff lift too. Liz, one of the owners who I dealt directly with, is very friendly and helpful and left us a lovely welcome pack with all the essentials including a chilled bottle of wine, much appreciated after a long journey on a hot day! I wouldn't hesitate to book this flat again and have already recommended it to my friends. Can't wait to stay again, a real home from home if not better, we wanted to barricade ourselves in and refuse to leave! Thanks Liz and Kevin for a great stay.
I do not hesitate to recommend this apartment. It is beautifully kept and furnished, well equipped and homely. We stayed on a frosty weekend but the apartment was lovely and warm. It is very convenient for the town centre, South Bay and the Spa. There are numerous restaurants nearby and Liz's recommendations were spot on. The arrangements were made by email and Liz was helpful and absolutely lovely throughout.
We had a fantastic weeks stay. A real home away from homes. Couldn't fault the place, it was spotlesss, the only thing i could find to critisise would be that the towl where to fluffy for my liking, and as thats all i could complain about (a personal preferance) then the place was pretty spectacular in my book.
Great central location pretty much a 5 or less miunet walk to all aminities, so great if you dont drive and come up on the train.
Owner is lovely and very welcoming. Answered any questions or queries I had when booking and during my stay.
Would definitely try and book and stay again if was staying in area.
Love Scarborough itself, classic english seaside town, with beautiful beeches. The spa is worth a visit. Along with the clock cafe along from the spa near the beech huts on south bay, the best home made cakes and views. On north bay you can go on a miniture railway, it goes out to the end of the bay where you have the sea life centre, or as we did walked back along the beech.
