Luxurious, fully air conditioned apartment with 2 bedrooms, (1 double, 1 twin) 2 bathrooms, both with WC, shower, bath & vanity unit. Fans in each bedroom and on balcony. Spacious lounge, Smart TV with UK channels, DVD and music system, Internet with Wi-Fi. 2&3 seater sofas - larger sofa converts to a double sofa bed for additional sleeping if required (additional £50 charge per week) Dining table seats 6. The kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/ freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob & microwave with cutlery, crockery, glassware and cooking utensils provided. Utility area houses a washing machine, iron & board. The bedrooms have fitted wardrobes, hair-dryers & a safe. The large patio can be accessed from the lounge & bedrooms. Kathy and I have been coming to Cyprus for about 15 years and 10 years ago we decided to buy our own little piece of Cyprus. So in 2007 we took ownership of our new-build apartment on Hesperides Gardens. What a lovely complex ! Very relaxing and home from home. We are both still working, but our plan is to go out to Cyprus more in our retirement. For now, we would like you to share our experience of our living, together with the wonderful selection of restaurants and bars and beautiful scenery, which in turn will help pay towards the running costs.

Comfortable, spacious apartment in a good complex

Spacious and comfortable apartment. Two bathrooms, well stocked kitchen and a huge balcony. The owners went to a lot of trouble to make sure you have everything for your stay and were easily contactable if there were any problems. Can't fault the location for getting out and about by car. The apartment complex was clean and quiet when we were there in late October.

Another wonderful holiday at this superb apartment

My wife and I enjoyed another wonderful stay at David and Kathy's apartment in Paphos. As always, wonderfully clean and comfortable, with all the amenities you could hope for. Lovely relaxing apartment in beautiful setting with large comfortable balcony area overlooking the quiet pool and grounds. Within easy reach of the harbour area with its bars and restaurants, or the old town for some stunning views of the new town and coastline, or some shopping. Also, only a short drive to some wonderful beaches and picturesque villages and towns. We can't wait to go back to Paphos and this wonderful apartment.

Comfortable and spacious property.

I stayed in this apartment with my daughter in July 2016 having been pointed in the direction by a friend's recommendation. The owners were always quick to respond to any queries prior to booking, but also whilst we were there, and afterwards.

The apartment is on a quiet complex and we weren't aware of anyone else being nearby when we were inside. The living area is spacious - "L" shaped with kitchen, dining area and sitting area leading onto a very good sized balcony. It is well equipped with cooker, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave. We opted not to cook, just having cereal for breakfast and eating out in the evenings. There are two bedrooms - one double and one twin - plus two bathrooms with full bath and shower over in each. There is air conditioning to the bedrooms and living area, plus ceiling fans for comfort. Plenty of wardrobe space for hanging and putting suitcases out of sight. Although there were only two of us, it would cope perfectly with 4.

With regard to cleanliness, the apartment was spotless!

Outside there are two pools, although we only used the larger one at the rear. The pool was very nice with plenty of room, although not so easy for straight lengths as it is more landscaped. Some of it is quite deep so be aware with children. It has loungers for use and there are umbrellas and citrus trees for shade.

The complex is out of the centre of Paphos but the benefit of that is the road is not busy and you miss out on the noise. We found it easy enough to walk to Paphos harbour in the evenings for food. There are a couple of local small shops where you can get essentials like milk, basic fruit & veg, bread,bottled water, wine etc. We didn't hire a car and coped perfectly well. There is a booth near the complex where you can pick up a phone for a taxi if you don't fancy the walk.

Recommended restaurants include Pambi's nearby which has lovely staff, The Almond Tree and Pingouino's in Paphos. We had good tasty food wherever we went, and the prices are very reasonable.

We will definitely return and unreservedly recommend this apartment.

Lovely apartment

Well maintained property that fully meets the description on the website. It is very conveniently located in Paphos for getting to local beaches, bars and restaurants. It is also well located if your have a hire car for getting to other places nearby. We have stayed in this apartment once before and will definately return again in the future.

Would go again!

Very impressed with apartment, just as described. Our favourite relaxing place was the very private balcony.

David was extremely helpful with the booking process - we emailed the Saturday before enquiring and arrived on the following Tuesday to find everything ready and when after 5 days we asked to extend another few days we had a very prompt response and enjoyed 11 days in all. I understand he was travelling abroad at the time but did everything he could to give us our break.

Did not want to leave

I booked this property based on the reviews and I was not in the least disappointed. The description and the layout of the property was very accurate, well maintained and absolutely spotless. We were lucky enough to have beautiful weather in February even for Cyprus. The property was within easy walk to the harbour area of Papho around 20 mins and the Old town was also within easy reach around 30 mins. If you don't fancy walking the buses are very easy to use and we used this facility on a few occasions. For food we loved Alea bar at the harbour and also enjoyed an excellent meal at Chloe's Chinese but our favourite by far was Laonas in the old town check their reviews on trip advisor. We cannot wait to return to this lovely home from home. But I cannot leave this review without having mentioned David and Cathy who own the apartment and who's customer service and attention to detail took this stay from lovely to outstanding. The wealth of information at the apartment was invaluable in enhancing our stay and were so helpful with any questions we had. Thank you so so much 😎😎😎

Location

From the Owner

Good central position means that we can go down to the harbour or equally to the old town in a very short space of time. Cyprus is in some ways very English, such as the 3 pin sockets are the same, they drive on the same side of the road and it is so green and pretty, which I don't understand with all the fantastic weather at all times of year.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Paphos International at 15 Kilometres

Coast/Beach:

There are local beaches within walking distance (20 minutes) and it is very popular to swim in the sea quite close to the harbour (near the KFC). Coral Bay is a popular beach destination, but our favourite is Corallia Bay which is a few minutes further on from Coral Bay (if you go on the bus, stay on until the very last stop). There are water sports available at most of these beaches.

If you head towards Limassol there are nice beaches at Pissouri and Kourio and Aphrodites Rock is picturesque

Travel:

Paphos International airport is only 15km away. Take a taxi for 25 to 30 euros and you will be at our apartment within 15 minutes.

Many car hire booths also at the airport

Larnaca airport is about 1 hour 30 minutes drive along the motorway

Car hire is recommended if you want to explore further afield, but the buses also provide a good service. The bus stop is approximately 200 metres from our apartment.

Distances:

A 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive takes you down to the main harbour area with shops, restaurants and bars.

Paphos old town is in a different direction and slightly further.

Coral Bay is about 20 minute drive or you can catch the bus from the harbour.

There is a bus stop about 200 metres from the apartment that takes you to the harbour and beyond if required

Further Details:

A water park is situated a 10 minute drive away and also accessible by bus.

Cyprus is a beautiful destination to get married and a local company carries guests around on an 'open top wedding bus'

We have many recommended sight seeing locations and recommended restaurants in a folder at the apartment

Skiing is available in the Troodos mountains in the winter

  • Notes on accommodation: Hesperides Gardens is centrally located between the old town, the harbour area and The Tomb of the Kings and there are 2 mini markets within 5 minutes walk. 15 minutes from Paphos airport and an ideal base for exploring Cyprus. Three golf courses within 15km of apartment and beaches and the modernised harbour area are within 5 minutes drive. Plenty of good quality restaurants to choose from catering for all tastes, many within a few minutes drive. Solar panels heat the water (with back-up immersion for the occasional cloudy day) and a lift is available. Lots of lovely villages and other sights to see both locally and further afield. We can provide recommendations for places to visit and restaurants to try, depending on your taste. Air conditioning units in living room and both bedrooms convert to heating units in the colder months Outside: 2 infinity pools with long steps down into the large pool. both are very relaxing and on a hot summers day, that is where you will want to be Utility Room: Utility area houses a washing machine, iron and board and more storage for towels and sheets.
