Amazing lovely cottage
We were travelling with a small baby and stayed in the Old Milking Parlour for one week. The cottage is very cozy and beautifully arranged. In the bedroom there is a picture window from which you have a nice view on the grassland with sheep. We usually had our afternoon tea on the terrace enjoying the sun and nature around us. It was amazing! We would love to go there again next time we visit Wales!
Small but perfectly formed
What a lovely cottage set in beautiful surroundings. The owners have created a unique property with a homely feel and has all the essentials you will need for your stay. Situated in an ideal spot to visit surrounding areas i.e New Quay, Aberporth and Aberystwyth to name but a few.
Perfect little cottage with outstanding views!
Amazing! Me, my wife (recently married) and 10 month old baby were looking for a quiet, peaceful location to stay for a few nights after a busy wedding build up and this place was perfect. The views from the cottage (especially your own private decking) are unbelievable and we caught the sunset over the hills with a bottle of Prosecco.
Great bedroom set low into the back of the garden so that waking up with a view of the Welsh country hills accompanied by a few sheep is wonderful. Kitchen has everything you need and very spacious. Nice living room space with flat screen TV, sky box and dvd player. The log fire was already prepared for our arrival with plenty of wood to burn and in the evenings was truly a great feature withints the living room. The bookcase............well that's all I'm gonna say as I thought that was a fantastic feature. Nice size bathroom with lovely size walk in shower.
Cottage is positioned just outside of lampeter and only 10 minute drive to lovely town of Aberaeron with lovely coastal drives to Aberystwyth and Newquay.
Sam and Rachel were so lovely and accommodating. We would definitely recommend to any couple wishing to get away for the week or a few days. We will be staying there again in the not too distantired future.
This was perfect for what we were looking for. We wanted to completely zone out and recharge our batteries somewhere we could bring our beloved dog Ted and we wanted it close to New Quay and Aberaeron. When we arrived we were delighted with the decor, eco friendly and a little bit quirky- loved the bookshelf secret door and the picture frame window in the bedroom. There was plenty of logs for the easy to use stove and it had everything you needed in the kitchen for cooking and otherwise for a comfortable stay. There is a secluded garden which was perfect for Ted with a lovely tranquil outlook across the fields. Little touches like candles, fresh flowers, organic tea and soap as well as a lovely map detailing things to do locally go a long way and it was for me what a holiday should be a little home from home. If I had to think of one thing to complain about that would have been the weather and the lack of phone signal but nobody can do anything about that, and the shower pressure was a bit low but hey I would definitely recommend this place.
Rachel was even kind enough to contact us to say we'd left a phone charger and popped it in the post for us.
Quality cottage in a lovely location
Our stay in the Old Milking Parlour was great. The peaceful cottage is very well laid out with everything we required for our stay. The decking area outside was perfectly placed to take advantage of the evening sun and an ideal place to watch the wildlife and enjoy a drink. The surrounding area was beautiful with plenty to do, be it beach based or walking in the hills. All in all a lovely place to relax.
