This is a spacious ground floor two bedroom apartment that sleeps four people. It overlooks the stunning Quinta do Lago lagoon and sea beyond. The easy-access entrance door leads into the hallway, and opens out to the sitting room/diner, and the patio beyond. The views from here are the landscaped gardens, swimming pool and lagoon. The kitchen and bedrooms are adjacent. Camp beds and cots are also available on request. The apartment is fully equipped with internet connections.

About Beth

We are a family of golfers who first discovered The Algarve on a golfing holiday. We spend several years coming over to Portugal and just fell in love with the area and people. It's been a wonderful location for our kids to grow up and develop, and to enjoy themselves on the golf courses, beaches and in the local nightspots. We finally decided to buy a property because we wanted to spend more time out here and a have a place of our own to give us as much space, privacy and freedom to do just as we wanted. It's been a perfect decision for us.

Outside: Lakeside Village is a private development. Our apartment is situated in a prime position. Its patio is surrounded by gardens and overlooks one of the swimming pools, the lagoon and ocean beyond. It has an outdoor dining area for al fresco meals, sunbathing or watching the sun set. The two swimming pools and floodlit tennis courts, which are for the private use of Lakeside Village residents and guests, are very close to the apartment. Ample parking is available at the apartment. Utility Room: Nobody likes to do much washing on holiday, but if you need to - we have a washing machine, clothes dryer, iron and ironing board available for your use. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linens, towels and beach towels are included as part of our agreement with you. Maid service is provided once a week, clean towels mid week and bed linen after 7 days. Extra maid service can be arranged at an additional cost. Other: We refurbished the whole apartment in 2013 and installed two new bathrooms, a new kitchen, re-tiled and re-decorated throughout. Our photo's show the result.

Beautiful apartment and complex

Just returned from a very relaxing break with my family (kids aged 8 & 11) and wanted to say how lovely the apartment and lakeside village complex is. The location of the apartment is great as it's both quiet at night as well as close to a few restaurants (although we only went to the Shack locally). The apartment has all mod cons and our bed was huge and very comfy. The pool area was on our doorstep and was very clean with plenty of sun beds. The communication and organisation from both Beth (owner) and Lucia (local mangement) was fantastic and it all made for a perfect family holiday. We'll definitely be back! Thanks Ben

One of the best places and apartments ever!

All the family have had a wonderful and very relaxing holiday. There were 4 of us and this included a 16 & 19 year old and we wanted to say how wonderful the apartment and lakeside village was. The location of the apartment was amazing with the pool only a stone throw away - made it all so amazing. People so friendly and the apartment was brilliant, had everything and was clean and modern. This was one of the best apartments we have stayed in and we have booked quite a few over the years all over Europe, through different websites. The listing description was accurate about everything. The area was wonderful and you could just stay in and have a drink at Pedro's by the pool and the walk down to The Shack was easy and good for celebrity spotting! We had a hire car, so that was good for shopping, eating out elsewhere and trips out such as the Waterpark.

From the moment we enquired about the apartment Beth was helpful and responded really quickly. Once we wanted to book we were handed over to Lucia in Portugal who handled everything smoothly and efficiently. She provided us with everything we needed to know. Brilliant aftercare also - didn't stop with once you booked and paid up! When we had a small problem on arrival with the apartment door, after a quick phone call she arrived and had it all dealt with and sorted without any inconvenience to us. She couldn't have been more helpful. We can't wait to go back!

A perfect getaway

From the moment I contacted the owner until the moment we hopped on the plane home, we had a five star experience at Lakeside. The lady that assisted us with our booking (Lucia) was attentive and thorough. She offered to organise our transfers both sides and was very helpful answering the questions I had. Thank you. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a welcome pack-which consisted of some basic food items, thank you, a lovely touch. Lucia was also very happy to add further food items for our convenience.The apartment is light and airy, and a good size. It was very clean and tidy. Both bathrooms had fantastic showers, and it was handy to have towels provided (leaving more room in our suitcase for swimsuits and shoes!) Both bedrooms offered very comfortable beds. However, the twin room became very warm in the evening, and whilst they had thoughtfully provided a fan it would have benefitted from having air con. The piece de resistance was opening the sliding doors onto the lush green walkways that take you to the pool, a mere 20 paces away...an absolute bonus! Our stay in the apartment comprised of two couples, I would not hesitate to that exact trip again. But I would also seriously consider going back with our young son. The pool has a shallow end/splash pool which is perfect for toddlers upwards. We visited Quinta do Lago towards the end of the peak season and that suited us perfectly, it was quieter and tranquil throughout the day but 'The Shack' (a local bar and restaurant- 5 minute walk up the road) still packed a punch in the evenings, with fantastic live bands and great cocktails. I would suggest hiring a car during your stay as the nearest supermarket is a 15 minute drive, and whilst we did very little sightseeing there are clearly some lovely areas near by.Thank you for a wonderful stay. We were absolutely thrilled with our experience, and hope to return again soon.

Finally, our perfect holiday

Over the years we have tried hotels, villas, all-inclusive etc. 307 Lakeside offers the very best of each in perfect weather, a 2.5hr flight away followed by a 15min drive or 25euro taxi journey.

We wondered if it may be a bit too golfy (we don't play) but it isn?t. The courses nearby look fantastic but they simply add beauty to the backdrop rather than being in your face.

The owners provided a cot, highchair and rollaway bed on request. They stocked the fridge for our evening arrival. Getting the keys was straightforward and finding Lakeside was easy. The apartment is perfectly well appointed. The telly has all channels from home plus Sky Sports.

The wider environment feels "safe" on the privately managed estate which has its own unobtrusive security. The apartment sits inside the gates of the poolside complex within the villas, townhouses and apartments that make up Lakeside Village. Apartments are arranged spaciously to three sides of the pool with the fourth side providing a truly lovely vista over the lake. In leaving this open the developers broadened the perspective and allowed a gentle breeze to flow across the setting. This sets the place apart from other options.

This ground floor apartment offers easy pool access. We felt little need to venture further and spent our days swimming/playing. We might take a boat on the lake next year. And expect to be dragged to Zoo Marine or another nearby waterpark. I might even bring my trainers and join the joggers or play tennis on the courts opposite.

In the daytime we snacked and drank at Pedro's poolside bar but we could have just as easily walked the 30m back to the apartment. The beach is also a short drive or cycle away. There are so many good restaurants including two a short walk from the apartment (Tucano's and VPs) that I can only suggest you ask at Pedro's bar and try a few (Parilla Naturale was our favourite).

Perhaps the strongest attraction of the place was our fellow Lakesiders. A high proportion of residences are used by family-owners. This seems to mean that the people you meet are that little bit more invested in the community. The upshot of that is that adults can enjoy a holiday here as much as families. The kids are all maintained on best behaviour rather than allowed to run riot whilst adults tend to introduce themselves unless you plainly would rather keep yourself to yourself. For me this makes for a home from home and an extraordinary piece of holiday engineering.

We will be back.

The area of the central Algarve between Quinta do Lago, Almancil and Quarteira is often referred to as the Golden Triangle for reasons that will become very clear when you visit. It's stunningly beautiful. Our apartment location - Quinta do Lago, has a number of amenities including two really nice shopping centres where you will find a mini-supermarket, boutiques, cafes, jewellers, restaurants, a pub and nightclub.

And if you want to visit the local area we can recommend Loule market (20 min. drive), Vilamoura marina (20 min. drive), Olhos d'Agua beach (30 min. drive) and the rugged West Coast (1hr drive).

The Algarve is also famous for its' top quality golf facilities. There are 30 golf courses which are within 45 minutes drive of the apartment and several are pretty much on your doorstep. In the immediate Quinta area there are 5 championship courses (Quinta do Lago North and South, San Lorenzo, Pinheiros Altos and Laranjal) with a total of 99 holes set within glorious scenery and umbrella pines. Two more championship courses can be found in nearby Vale do Lobo (Royal and Ocean). Vilamoura, 20 min. away, hosts a further 5 championship courses.

Guests of the apartment receive discounted green fees for the Quinta do Lago courses. Views of the woods and trails, the lagoon, the sea or all three are features of these gorgeous courses and can be enjoyed by golfers on course, and non-golfers from the woodland trails or restaurants and spike bars on-site. Practice facilities are also superb, and coaching sessions are widely available.

There is genuinely lots to do here, it's just a question of what you want from your holiday. You can spend the day lazing on the beaches, browse around rustic garden centres, eat at one of the traditional Portuguese restaurants or tapas bars. You can go horse riding, cycling or amble around the lagoon. Or just relax on the apartment patio with a glass of Portuguese wine reading a good book as the sun goes down.
