This is a sixteen year old property which has been finished to a traditional, yet modern style. It is set in the outskirts of the spa town of Lamalou les Bains and stands amongst the mountainous region of Cévennes which is popular amongst trekkers and fruit pickers. The house is split over several levels with three main bedrooms and a forth bedroom, which leads to the double shower room. The master has an en-suite, the double has a shower and sink and the other main bedroom is a twin. There is one separate bathroom and two separate toilets. There is also a well-equipped kitchen with all the utensils you'll need for your stay. The dining room is open planned and spacious with a dining table for 8/10. This leads to a private sun terrace, perfect for al fresco dining. The terrace overlooks the swimming pool and woods/ mountain range. Villa St. Michel is only a 15 minute walk away or a 2 minute drive from the town of Lamalou les Bains where you can find a post office, supermarket, tourist office, restaurants, bars and a market on a Tuesday. The villa has satellite TV and free wi-fi access.

With its idyllic setting, we believe that this property is perfect for relaxation, and if youre into yoga, we have yoga matts for you to use either around the pool at dawn or sunset or in the woods. There is a yoga studio not too far if you want to get some tips or have a go first with an experienced teacher.

Please note, we do not have good photos of the bedrooms so apologies for this.

FYI owners direct charges you a 10% fee when you use the online booking system. To avoid paying this, we are happy to accept direct payments. Obviously, their charge is to prevent fraud. However, we are victims of fraud on occasions also so our guests are chosen wisely.

Absolutely stunning location this large villa was perfect for the getaway we planned. It was a short walk from the town centre with beautiful sites along the way. It's location is set up a quiet lane with lovely views and a private pool perfect for privacy. The interior is modern yet kept inline with the location and type of house. I am looking to go back this year and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at this fantastic secluded spacious villa with stunning views across the picturesque local area for eleven night in July/August. The house is furnished to a very high standard and had everything we needed to make it home away from home. The bedrooms are a good size and living areas and terrace (overlooking the pool) are perfect places to relax. The house has several bathrooms and bedrooms on either side of the house which make it ideal for a couple of families to share. The kids absolutely loved the pool which is in very private and in excellent condition.

Notes on accommodation: Smoking is not permitted in the house and if you do smoke, please smoke outside and use the ashtrays provided as we are surrounded by thick forest. The swimming pool is brand new and the views are stunning. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SWIMMING POOL IS CLOSED BETWEEN MID OCTOBER AND MAY (UNLESS HOT AND WE WILL OPEN IT UP fo) Outside: Our back garden is the mountains but to brighten the place up, we do have several pot plants around the terrace and swimming pool. We also have an olive tree, cherry tree, grapevine and many climbers. The BBQ is situated down by the pool near the an L shaped rattan sofa. 4 rattan sunloungers and 4 others. Coffee table and chairs downstairs and a larger one on the terrace upstairs. An 8 seater table with chairs on the terrace. Pool is 4x8m and kidney bean shaped. I think around 2m deep. Utility Room: Washing machine, tumble dryer and extra fridge/freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: As this is self catering, you will be responsible for cleaning your sheets and towels if needed, but we do provide fresh linen and towels on arrival. The pool is professionally cleaned once a week. Other: The utility room is situated on the ground floor in the garage area and here you will find an extra fridge/freeze

Lovely country getaway

We have just returned from our 2 week holiday at Villa St Michel. We absolutely loved it. If you love the countryside, wildlife and peace and quiet, you will love it. We often strolled into Lamalou-les-bains which was only a 20 minute stroll for lunch and or dinner. The only problem was dragging ourselves away from the bridge over the river where we often stopped to watch the heron fishing and the variety of smaller birds ! The villa itself was well equipped, with everything you could need. The pool is perfect with plenty of loungers and chairs for everyone. We barbecued quite often, and once the sun had gone down, spent long, lazy evenings chatting and drinking the excellent local wine on the terrace. Thank you Annah for your great communication and making our stay so enjoyable!

A Wonderful Holiday

We spent one of our most memorable family holidays at this villa located in a beautiful and tranquil area of Southern France. The villa itself enjoys a lovely secluded position with some beautiful views of the mountains of the Languedoc National Park. It is well equipped and spacious and close to so many different places to visit. Our children loved spending endless hours playing around the pool. We would recommend this as a wonderful location for a holiday.

Booking Notes:
Please put the deposit down as soon as you can to secure your booking and full payment must be made 8 weeks in advance. We require a damage deposit of £500 which you will get back a week after departure depending on if nothing is broken :-)

Changeover Day:
No specific changeover day but I ask that all guests vacate the property by 10am IF we have a changeover. If not, we are fairly flexible. Guests can check in from 12pm if we have not had a same day changeover. If we do, then check in is at 2-4pm depending
