Perfect in every way !

  • 5 of 5

We had a super 2 week stay in this delightful villa.

The Villa is fully equipped , spotlessly clean ,and in a nice quiet residential area a short walk from the centre of St Remy.

We thoroughly enjoyed the use of the pool on those days the temperature got into the mid 30s and found the air conditioning very useful !

St Remy itself is a lovely little town with great restaurants and a superb market on a Wednesday.

We had a lot of interesting days out to fascinating places such as Avignon , Arles , Pont du Gard . The Carmargue , Les Baux , Gordes and Roussillon ....but also a few lazy ones by the pool with a good book and a glass of wine.

Overall I would thoroughly recommend this Villa to anyone thinking of staying in the region , and look forward to returning to it again ourselves.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your feedback. I'm so glad that you found the location useful for visiting the centre of St Remy as well as other charming and historic areas in this part of Provence and that you also enjoyed the opportunity to relax by the pool. We find the air con is appreciated during the hot weather.

Wonderful villa in a wonderful town

  • 5 of 5

Just returned from our second summer stay at Judith and Steve's gorgeous villa in St Remy with amazing views of the Alpilles. The villa is perfect with every mod con, Wi-Fi and pool towels etc. provided. It is always spotlessly clean when we arrive and Catherine and Denis are on hand for questions, tips, day trip recommendations etc. Catherine will always try to get you in as soon as she can on changeover day too. Denis comes to clean the pool mid-stay (2 weeks) and that's really appreciated. It's a 15 minute stroll into town depending on your fitness where there are dozens of restaurants and bars and different markets, fetes etc. going on. St Remy is a perfect base for trips to the Camargue, Marseilles, Chateau Neuf du Pape, the Pont de Gard etc. Can't recommend this villa and the lovely people who own and manage it highly enough - they really do make sure you have a wonderful time - we will be back!

Fantastic villa in a lovely area

  • 5 of 5

I knew the minute that I stepped into this villa that we were going to have a fantastic holiday and within 24 hours I was wishing we had booked 2 weeks instead of 1! The villa is exactly as shown in the listing description - spotlessly cleaned, superbly maintained and equipped with everything you could possibly need. Catherine and Dennis welcomed us warmly and although we didn't see them again until we left, we had the feeling that nothing would have been too much trouble had we needed to contact them during the week.

St Remy was a great centre for exploring the area. Within an hour's drive we visited lovely Luberon villages, Roman Arles, Avignon and the Camargue (beautiful flamingoes). A favourite trip was kayaking down the river to the Pont du Gard. In our time in St Remy we also watched Andy Murray win Wimbledon and saw the Tour de France pass St Remy, literally at the end of the road ! We enjoyed pool time, family mealtimes on the lovely terrace and ate out at some of the great choice of St Remy restaurants.

Overall a fabulous holiday and we have returned home looking forward to going back!

Owner's Response: Thank you very much for your review. I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay in our villa and that you were able to see so much of the area during your stay as well as relaxing by the pool. St Remy has a good choice of restaurants as an alternative to meals on the patio. It's a pleasure to hear you are considering going back.

Excellent modern villa with lovely pool

  • 5 of 5

Clean and superbly equipped modern villa on the outskirts of a lively and very friendly French town (St Remy de Provence). The pool and air conditioning were essential given the very hot temperatures - we had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay with lots to do on your doorstep and perfectly positioned to explore the wider region.

Owner's Response: Many thanks for your comments. I think the addition of air conditioning a couple of years ago has proved to be popular with out guests, particularly in July and August. I'm also delighted that you found the location useful.

Perfect Villa for Exploring the

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in late May for a week and the villa was perfect. There were only two of us, but the villa had three well proportioned bedrooms so would have been very suitable for a family too.

The villa was immaculately decorated throughout. The kitchen was well equipped kitchen with modern electric hobs, oven, microwave, dishwasher etc. (and there was a bottle of water and wine in the fridge on arrival which was a nice touch). Apparently this was the first week of proper summer weather, but even so the pool was a comfortable temperature.

The location of the villa was excellent - it was only a short walk into the centre of St. Remy (or an even shorter bike ride on one of the bikes provided to get fresh bread from the Boulangerie every morning). St. Remy itself was an ideal location for exploring the local area with Les Baux, Avignon, Arles, Nimes, the villages of Luberon hills and much much more all within a short drive.

Booking the villa was very easy with Judith being very quick to respond to our initial enquiry and confirming deposits etc. On arrival we were given a tour of the villa and given some tips on where to visit and on local restaurants.

All in all an excellent place to stay. Were there any negatives? None that we could think of!

Very comfortable home - will be back!

  • 5 of 5

This is a very comfortable house, well equipped and clean. From our initial enquiry to our return home communication has been very good and nothing is too much trouble. I think we must walk slowly as it took us 20 - 25 minutes to walk into St. Remy, but it was an easy walk and great in the evenings after eating at one of the many restaurant in town!! It is also an ideal base for visiting the many towns and pretty villages in the area. St. Remy itself is a bustling town with lovely shops and restaurants and the locals are very friendly.

The house is very easy to live in and I know we will be back - wish we were still there!!
