The bungalow is set in its own landscape garden and has its own garage so there is no problem with parking. There is also a patio area and garden table and chairs. The two village beaches boast golden sands and are amongst the safest in the county. It is only a three or four minute stroll to the beaches. However there is also Vault beach which is a huge beach some 25 minutes walk over the hill.
The bungalow has recently had a new kitchen installed and provides an attractive and pleasant dining area with new cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. There is an front entrance lobby, hallway from which leads off the kitchen, main bedroom, bathroom and lounge. The second bedroom with two single beds is off of the lounge. As the bungalow is used by family and friends and those who rent it, please leave the bungalow in the clean and tidy state inwhich you will find it. There is no cleaning lady.
There is central heating and a very effective gas fire in the lounge should you need it out of season. The bookings run from Saturday to Saturday for the season Easter to October half-term.
If you could take your own sheets, pillow cases and towels with you. Each bed has its own duvet so would you please take your own sheets to cover them. The bed in the main bedroom is a five foot bed. Blankets are also available in the cupboards in the double bedroom.
The village has its own general store with bakery, newsagents and posit office.
Nick and Hilary Aiken have owned this lovely holiday bungalow for 30 years and never stop enjoying going down to Gorran Haven. We now have two boys and a Labrador, so the bungalow is a special family place and used by our parents and brothers and sisters. Nick is Rector of a large parish in Surrey and Hilary is a Physiotherapist. Their address is, The Rectory, Aviary Road, Pyrford, Woking, Surrey GU22 8TH
Nicholas Aiken purchased this bungalow in 1986
Gorran Haven is such a lovely location with beautiful beaches and a great seafront. The scenery is stunning and there are many lovely walks. It is near the Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project.
It is a very gentle amble, some 4 minutes to the seafront. The general store/post office is only 3 minutes away. Vault beach is a spectacular beach which is 20 minutes walk away. There are just so many wonderful places to visit which are not too far away.

This was our third visit to Outer Moorings and yet again it met our needs perfectly. Nick is always very helpful and the bungalow is everything it says.
We take our dogs as the beach is a short walk and dog friendly. Expect to keep your dog on the lead Easter thro to the end of September during peak periods of the day.
You will have to take your own bedding and towels and also to clean through before you leave, but that's no problem for us as we would expect to clean anyway.
No Wifi - but there is a good signal around the village - if you really want to be contacted.
We can highly recommend it and hopefully we will be there again later this year.

We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely bungalow, enjoying the quietness of this picturesque and unspoilt village with lots of stunning walks along the cliffs. The property itself is very comfortable and contained everything you could need and more. Highly recommended.
Carron, Trevor and Sam (the dog) 😊
We've just had a lovely week long holiday down in Gorran Haven with our 2 young boys. We were able to relax and enjoy the surroundings boys playing creative games in the garden whilst we could relax and read in a sheltered spot in the garden when the sun was out. Lovely short walk to the harbour beach so even though it was coat and wellies weather everyone got to enjoy themselves and make the most of local area, although you don't need to leave village if you don't want to, the bungalow has everything you need to make for a relaxing break away and facilities in village provide everything too!
Would definitely recommend and to families with young children (ours are 10 & 5)!
My family stay here a lot and I decided to stay here for a week as its so local to our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was made better by great weather which helped us spend time outside and enjoy the garden peacefully.
Whilst the property is in a good location it is sadly dirty and in need of renovation. As no cleaner is employed holiday makers are asked to clean the property, and even empty the vacumn. The property needs a thorough deep clean. The garden is overgrown and neglected as a result of which there is no light to the back of the property. hence the damp foisty smell. The wardrobes in the master bedroom are not fit for purpose as they are so damp all clothing stored in there starts to smell after 24 hours. We left early and raised these issues with the owner to no avail. I cannot recommend this property and would never book again. Gorran is as fabulous as ever though!
