Perfect yet again

  • 5 of 5

This was our third visit to Outer Moorings and yet again it met our needs perfectly. Nick is always very helpful and the bungalow is everything it says.

We take our dogs as the beach is a short walk and dog friendly. Expect to keep your dog on the lead Easter thro to the end of September during peak periods of the day.

You will have to take your own bedding and towels and also to clean through before you leave, but that's no problem for us as we would expect to clean anyway.

No Wifi - but there is a good signal around the village - if you really want to be contacted.

We can highly recommend it and hopefully we will be there again later this year.

Ruth & Paul Young.

Lovely relaxing holiday

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic holiday in this lovely bungalow, enjoying the quietness of this picturesque and unspoilt village with lots of stunning walks along the cliffs. The property itself is very comfortable and contained everything you could need and more. Highly recommended.

Great family holiday

  • 5 of 5

We've just had a lovely week long holiday down in Gorran Haven with our 2 young boys. We were able to relax and enjoy the surroundings boys playing creative games in the garden whilst we could relax and read in a sheltered spot in the garden when the sun was out. Lovely short walk to the harbour beach so even though it was coat and wellies weather everyone got to enjoy themselves and make the most of local area, although you don't need to leave village if you don't want to, the bungalow has everything you need to make for a relaxing break away and facilities in village provide everything too!

Would definitely recommend and to families with young children (ours are 10 & 5)!

Lovely property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

My family stay here a lot and I decided to stay here for a week as its so local to our needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and it was made better by great weather which helped us spend time outside and enjoy the garden peacefully.

Not recommended

  • 1 of 5

Whilst the property is in a good location it is sadly dirty and in need of renovation. As no cleaner is employed holiday makers are asked to clean the property, and even empty the vacumn. The property needs a thorough deep clean. The garden is overgrown and neglected as a result of which there is no light to the back of the property. hence the damp foisty smell. The wardrobes in the master bedroom are not fit for purpose as they are so damp all clothing stored in there starts to smell after 24 hours. We left early and raised these issues with the owner to no avail. I cannot recommend this property and would never book again. Gorran is as fabulous as ever though!

Owner's Response: I am delighted to say that we have had the bungalow as our family holiday home for almost 30 years and this year 60% of those who rented it have returned from previous visits. Infact one couple have been going down for 20 years and another for 15. The most recent couple to email me upon their return, and have been for the first time, said "We thoroughly enjoyed our week at your house. It was a lovely place in a lovely location". They have booked for next year! I'm afraid cleaning ladies are not always reliable and leaving the bungalow as you find it is the simple request as clearly stated on the website right at the beginning. The young man who is the gardener was contacted immediately by me and asked to trim the back part of the garden and as can be seen from the photographs the garden is largely landscaped with gravel and shrubs. We are having the apple tree in the back garden reduced in size and pruned when we are down in November. We had a new kitchen installed in 2014 as can be seen in the photographs. The bungalow is our holiday home and is good value for money for those who wish to rent it, and that is why we get so many people returning year after year.
