The pool & gardens are very scenic, receiving the sun from morning until sunset. The villa has a large swimming pool(13ft x 26ft), with quality sun loungers, pool shower, large patio areas, separate shaded outdoor seating area (BBQ). There is the convenience of kitchen facilities in the underbuild of the villa (beside outdoor bbq/dining area ) Also toilet facilities in this area.Pro quality gym/weights in underbuild.The villa is fully air conditioned & reverse cycle heated. Susan & I(David) are in our mid 40's & live in Bangor, Northern Ireland. I am in the building trade . We also both own & run a restaurant in a village in Bangor. We currently spend about 8 weeks of the year at the villa & consider it our home rather than somewhere we rent out. We have had many guests who have been coming every year since the villa has been initially rented since 2008. And over the years have invested heavily in furnishing, decorating & re-design both internally & externally. We absolutely adore going out to Calpe. We spent about 3 years researching pretty much the whole Spanish coast from Marbella to Valencia to find perfection. We love the fact that our area has no high rise buildings blocking views (and is pretty much off the average tourist map). We eventually hope to retire there in a few years.

Rest and relaxation

Enjoyed a very relaxing 2 weeks just what was needed after a busy year. The villas was equipped with everything we needed for our holiday and we especially enjoyed lazy days by the pool followed by a BBQ in the evening. Wonderful fresh seafood etc is available from the supermarkets/shops in nearby Calpe.

We didn't try Puerto Blanco as the price was a little too high especially as you are able to buy such good quality/value fish in the supermarket.

Would suggest a rental car is essential but we knew that before we booked.

Overall if you are like us and looking for a complete break away from things then you won't be disappointed.

Had a lovely holiday in a fantastic villa. Calpe is a mix of old and new. Great restaurants in the old town, ten minutes walk from villa. The new town and beaches are ten minutes more down the hill and are the best beaches we've been to. The small beach close to the villa is great for snorkelling and rock pools. Nearby towns worth a visit too. Would recommend the villa for all ages. We ranged from 7-67 and all had a fantastic holiday. The owners were so helpful throughout the booking and Jean was in Calpe to welcome us and if we needed anything.

What more could we have needed. Evenings spent relaxing on the balcony, looking out to sea. Days spent swimming in the sea or large pool and visiting the surrounding towns. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful

A wonderful villa in a stunning location. Villa is more than adequately equipped with everything you could need, and spotlessly clean. The outside veranda is perfect and the bbq/dinning area was well used. We managed without a car, there are a few steep hills but we (4 x 45/55 year olds) managed and have returned a bit fitter than when we arrived. A taxi from the main shopping street is less than €10 and well worth it after a night out or a trip to the large supermarket. The beautiful little cove of Peurto Blanco is a 5 min walk away down a steepish hill but worth the effort. Plenty of restaurants in the old town and the new so lots of choice if you want to dine out but the facilities at the villa meant we stayed in more than going out. Jean is on hand to help resolve any issues and to offer guidance and recommendations and the owners, Susan & David, were extremely helpful and a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend a stay in this lovely villa, the best we've stayed in.

WHAT A PLACE111

As the title what a place.... My Family and I stayed here for a week and we all absolutely loved it, the villa was everything and more we were told it was very homely and welcoming that had everything you could possibly need whist on holiday. It's in walking distance to the Beach, Shops, Bars ,Restaurants and if you don't want to walk it has a swimming pool ,BBQ, Cooker/oven & Microwave what more is needed? We have never met Susan & David but if feels like we have been friends for years so helpful and friendly plenty of contact before our holiday and after to make sure all was well. If you want a stress free homely holiday accommodation this is it. We will be back next year for sure for more than likely 2 weeks this time, How can you not stay at a place that has cold beers and a bottle of wine waiting for you when you arrive. Great villa, great location

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing holiday in Calpe. Arrived late on Sunday (no shops open) so very grateful for the milk/tea and beers and wine!!! Villa was spacious and well equipped, real home from home. My boys 11 and 13 loved the pool and glad of the free wifi!! We all loved chilling out on the balcony.

I can definitely recommend restaurant Puerto Blanco just 5 minute walk, bit pricier than a lot of places but definitely worth it the food and the service was outstanding, would probably need to book in high season. Don't be put off taking children they were really accommodating with something off the menu.

My son celebrated his birthday while we were there and took a trip to Finestrat Karting near Benidorm which was brilliant, also recommend a drive up to Guadalest great views.

Overall a great holiday.

Great Villa - Awesome Stay

We spent a week In Calpe in June. This Villa was just perfect for us - 2 families with 3 children (ages 0.3y, 1.2y and 6y). Especially we enjoyed the cosy balcony/terrace, large swimming pool and outdoor BBQ seating area. Appreciated also the WIFI and gym.

Susan, David and Jean helped us with every inquiry and request (extra baby cot and seater, etc...)

The Villa exceeded our expectations and we will certainly plan a new trip to Calpe! Thanks Susan, David and Jean!

The whole area is outstandingly beautiful, unspoilt by over development. And very sheltered in a micro climate. The villa is well positioned for both sun & shaded areas. Receiving the morning sun on the pool area & throughout the day with perfect shaded positions, no more than a few steps away. The villa is within 300 metres of the famed Puerto Blanco restaurant, genuinely one of Spain's finest restaurants. The villa is situated on the edge of the small Puerto Blanco Marina with a number of wine/tapas bars. A short walk away along the coast path takes you to the main resort & Old Town. Which is incredibly well kept, clean & exotically planted. Access to the villa by road is very simple via the motorway (approximately 10 minutes from exit 64). Trains run to major cities along the coast

For sports on dry land, the Rock of Ifach offers mountain climbing.

There are also plenty of facilities for wind surfing, yachting and water skiing. Calpe offers five marinas with 1,250 berths and numerous water sports activities, for instance: scuba diving, light sailing, windsurfing, jet-skiing, para-sailing and water-skiing. Introductory courses as well as certification services are available.

The coastal region is a wonderful area for paragliding.

There is a tennis club in Calpe with 5 courts

Sierra de Bernia is famous in the cycling world, professionals have their spring training camps on the Costa Blanca, and mountain bikers can go directly from the property for a spin along the winding mountain roads.

In Jalon, Benissa and Calpe there are opportunities for horse riding. Our region is also known and famous amongst climbers, where different degrees of difficulty are to be found in the Sierra de Bernia area. The nearest climbs are accessible by car & not too far away.

Coast/Beach:

Puerto Blanco Beach is 300m from the Villa. There is also a wine bar, restaurant & Tapas bar there.

Calpe has in fact, the most beautiful sandy beaches of the whole Costa Blanca. The beaches are kept immaculately clean.

Blue Flag Playa Arenal (beach) is about an 600mtr walk along a scenic coastal path from the Playa Blanco marina/beach.It is also only a 5 min drive via town and is outstandingly pretty and clean,especially for sunbathing,diving,fishingsailing, water skiing and windsurfing.

Travel:

Alicante airport is 40mins drive & Valencia is approximately 55mins.

Car hire is recommended & is available at very reasonable rates.

Just be attentive for fuel policies for short term rentals (Europcar good for short term rental & Argus car hire for long term)

The villa is particularly well equipped as this is a home rather than a holiday villa. The fixtures & fittings are of exceptional quality (extremely expensive beds for instance). Optional unlimited wifi, smart tv, ipod dock, nespresso machine, 400sq ft professional gym & fully air-conditioned throughout property. Hair dryer, beach towels & continental adaptors are available. We offer a first class welcome service via a lovely lady called Jean( English & Spanish speaking) who is on hand for meet & greet & to help with any queries. Excellent local guide. It is comforting to have someone there to contact any time in case of emergency or even just the areas best 'trip advisors'! So you can really just come in the front door, unpack, relax & enjoy your well deserved holiday!
