Apartment in Samoens, Haute Savoie, France - Perfect location for the ski lift, the village centre, and the leisure park/grounds

Pas au Loup is in one of the most sought after areas of Samoens. Directly opposite the Grand Massif Express gondola - 100m - you can't get any closer - and only a flat 5 minute walk to the centre of Samoens with its excellent choice of shops, restaurants and services, the location is perfect. A bakery, pizzeria, creperie and ski hire shop are also all within 50m. Samoens is perfectly located for skiing the 200km+ pistes of the Grand Massif and in 2017/18 will see the opening of several new high speed lifts and pistes following some very substantial investment in the resort. The property benefits from secure underground parking, and ski equipment storage in the garage; and a large private West facing terrace accessed from large French windows with fantastic views of the valley. The apartment is newly decorated, and has a new kitchen, appliances and beds (2015). The apartment benefits from underfloor heating and its two double bedrooms can be furnished with either double or single beds.

About Christian Hay

Now based in Guernsey, Channel Islands, we moved over from London in 2003. We bought the apartment in Samoens on the recommendation of a friend. Samoens is very convenient in terms of driving distance from the ports of Northern France (8hrs) and Geneva airport (1hr). It is the friendliest place in France and perfect for families.

Why Christian Hay chose Samoëns

Samoens is a proper medieval French 'town', not just a ski resort. We bought the apartment for that reason. We use the apartment in the Summer holidays and so it was important to us to find somewhere with an all year round 'buzz'.

What makes this apartment unique

The beauty of the apartment is the proximity to the ski lift. The carpark for the Grand Massif Express gondola (and ski hire shop, boulangerie and pizzeria) is just across the road. It is extremely convenient.

An excellent week in Samoens.

The location of this property is excellent and only a short walk from the main ski lift. The facilities in the apartment are of a high standard and we thoroughly enjoyed our week long stay. The town centre is a 10 minute walk away. I would definitely recommend this apartment for anyone looking to stay in Samoens.

Perfection! The location is brilliant, you cannot get nearer to the ski lift!

As a family we spent February half term here and it was totally fantastic! The apartment is located opposite the ski hire shop and you cannot get nearer to the ski lift! Samoëns town is a few minutes walk and is a delightful place to eat, drink and shop!

The apartment is brilliant! Everything you need, spacious, cozy and comfortable. Private patio with views up the mountains and really peaceful.

I cannot find one fault with the accommodation at all - new kitchen, comfy beds and a totally workable and easy space for a family of four or a group of friends. I cannot recommend this place enough. Just perfect!

Luxurious apartment very close to the GME

Lovely spacious apartment, perfect for 4 people, although the second bedroom is a bit smaller than the master it is still perfectly adequate size. Beds are really comfortable, and the towels supplied are soft and fluffy. Constant hot water supply and decent kitchen with coffee percolators and pretty much everything you need if you want to cook. The pizza place and bakery across the road are ideal for picking up bits and pieces for dinner/breakfast/lunches and you can store your skis etc in the secure garage before your 2 minute walk to the lift. Perfect! The photos don't do it justice.

Ideal location for the slopes

I booked A5 in this new apartment block as a last minute thing. The vendor was extremely helpful in all his correspondence. We arrived at the rear of the location by the Airport Transfer company as there is no access from the front by vehicle but the place is really fantastic. Its locality to the Bubble is ideal, with a 2 1/2 year old learning to ski its a simple short walk. A ski hire shop is less than 75m away from the apartment so its easily accessed.

The apartment itself is quaint. It has 2 bedrooms and a bathroom which is more than adequate for a small family such as ours and no doubt would have coped with more as there were bunk beds and a sofa bed should we have needed it.

There is a small TV set and satellite TV reception which keeps you in the loop with things back home should you chose to watch UK TV shows. Due to heavy snow, ours did not work, but this made little difference to us.

The kitchenette is ideal for home cooking and has all the accessories needed (except a toaster) we cooked most evenings in the apartment.

The location to the ski lift is ideal, but it is a 900m walk to town, with a small child who tires easily its a bit of a strain, but absolutely worth it when the slopes are so close. Less walking in Ski Boots and more strolling in Snow Boots. We chose the locality to the slopes over the town for this purpose entirely... it suited us.

The place is really nicely decorated, fitted out and fresh...

If holidays for you are a strain, then this is a very good option. I repeat, the vendor is very good at communicating, and rarely does it take more than a couple of hours for communications to be returned with any queries. Its a lovely apartment in a lovely location.

I would most certainly consider leasing this place again... I hope the above helps.

bonne semaine

appartement bien situé ,propre,calme bien équipé (manque le grill-pain) sinon rien à redire

Echange compliqué avec le propriétaire pour nous nous qui ne parlons pas anglais .

heureusement que notre fille a pu nous traduire ,mais sur place après la remise des clefs par une autre personne nous avons du nous débrouillé seul pour trouver l,immeuble

sinon c,est une bonne semaine
