About the Owner

We are Emma and Andrew Soskin. We met in Hertfordshire, but both had links to Wales, with Emma having lived on Anglesey for several years as a child and Andrew having a degree from Aberystwyth University. We moved here in 2008, with the aim of starting a bed and breakfast and self-catering business. The bed & breakfast is now well established having opened in 2010 and, in the summer of 2013, we opened Delfryn. We have over 30 years in the hospitality industry between us, mostly working in a five star hotel, and have used our experience to ensure that our conversions are of the highest quality.

Superb accommodation in the heart of the Lleyn Peninsular

  • 5 of 5

First-class self-catering accommodation, clean and well maintained. Very spacious with everything that you would need for a self-catering holiday. The owners were extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would certainly recommend this property to family and friends who are looking for excellent accommodation in a beautiful and peaceful part of the Lleyn. Lots of walking locally both coastal and inland. Excellent food at the Ship Inn at Edern.

excellent facility in lovely location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for two weeks with teenage sons and elderly relatives. Beautiful location, quiet and private. Excellent facility, well supplied with kitchen apparatus. Very clean and airy. Hosts friendly and helpful. Good for walking and beaches are fantastic if you get the weather. Not too far to travel to make use of Snowden National Park and visit some of the best Norman Castles in the UK. Baker in Cricceith and butcher very good. Local pubs hearty portions and good standard. We will certainly return.

Wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

Wow...fantastic setting. From the little track we drove, surrounded by the sheep to the simply stunning views of the hills and mountains. The photographs of the the property are extremely modest, as the barn is a lot bigger than they depict. The finish is to a great standard and lovely and clean and fresh. We had a lovely stay and will definitely return as well as recommend to everyone who expresses an interest in the Llyn Peninsula as you feel you are at heart of everywhere. Thank you for a lovely stay. Oh and the cake was wolfed down by my girl's. Again, thank you. :-)

Modern well equipped Barn on Quiet Farm

  • 5 of 5

The barn is approached down a smooth surfaced lane, then finally through a sheep filled field. By the end of your stay you'll feel sure you can identify the stubborn sheep that stand their ground staring at you until you give in and drive around them.

Emma will be there to welcome you and maybe her husband Andrew. The barn will not disappoint you in any way. The online photos show it well although I felt it was bigger than I expected. The 3 bedrooms are much larger than they looked with ample places to hang your clothes with new hangers, and drawers for other clothes.

The barn is all in one floor and the owners have tried hard to think about the needs of people who find it difficult to get around. They have even thought about wheelchair access. Just one warning if you are disabled, is that the shower does not have wall handles or stool. I guess you could bring a stool if necessary and personally wall handles may make the place look a bit 'disabled'. Similarly there is no support to help you get on or off the loos. I mention these points because I have a broken femar which makes me feel a bit insecure at those times. Emma and Andrew do not describe the place as being for disabled people, but they have given alot of thought to their needs including a ramp.

The lounge furniture is very comfortable, and the kitchen is very well equipped.

We wanted for nothing and enjoyed a wonderful stay here. The location is also great to explore North Wales.

If you decide to book this barn you will have a great time. All you need then, is good weather.

Location

From the Owner

We think the Llyn Peninsula has more to offer than anywhere else in Wales. Delfryn is situated centrally on the Llyn, so everywhere is in easy access. With miles of beaches, coastal footpaths and attractive villages, there is plenty to explore. We are also within easy reach of Snowdonia, Portmerion and the castles and steam railways elsewhere in north Wales. We hope that you will enjoy the area as much as us.
