Apartment in Edinburgh, Scotland - Tranquillity Amidst Edinburgh's Georgian Splendour - Lovely 5 Minute Walk To All Amenities

You'll be in Edinburgh's most splendid Georgian location amidst this UNESCO World Heritage site. Here the grand façade is arranged around a lavish circular garden, with restricted road access affording it a surreal sense of calm and silence - perhaps best appreciated after dark under the New Town's atmospheric white street lights. Despite the peace, bohemian Stockbridge is a delightful 5 minute walk along cobbled streets, whilst George Street's high-end shops and venues are similarly close by to the south. Accessed via a private gate down a short stone staircase, the front door can be found opening onto a sunny but sheltered courtyard which is a magical spot for al-fresco breakfasting or evening drinks. Once inside the open-plan layout is clean, comfortable and fully-equipped for your stay, with enough period features (high skirting boards and working shutters) to remind you where you are.

Perfect Place to Stay when visiting Edinburgh!

My wife and I could not be happier with this property. We stayed for three nights during our first visit to Edinburgh. The unit itself is perfect for couples. It has modern appliances and décor. Furnishings are very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms are large and well equipped. Entier unit is very clean. The location is awesome. A 10 minute walk to CBD and tourist areas. Close enough to be very convenient, but far enough away to avoid the noise of being right in the middle of things. We did not have a rental car during our stay and were able to conveniently walk to all sites we wanted to see. Being in New Town, there are plenty of dining and shopping locations within a 10 minute walk. Starbucks is a 5 minute walk away. The owners were great. Very responsive. They even texted me instructions from the airport when I landed, and offered to provide recommendations for eating or other items if I asked. If I go back to Edinburgh, I will certainly try to book this property again.

An oasis of quiet

My husband and I spent 6 nights at Weng and Martins beautifully renovated flat. We enjoyed this quiet enclave of Edinburgh so much with its charming group of shops in Stockbridge right around the corner, that we actually considered moving there. It felt like home.

Excellent place to stay

We spent a week in this lovely apartment when we came to Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival. The location is wonderful. Even though it’s a bit of a walk to some of the fringe venues, it was really nice to come back to such a beautiful, quiet part of the city. The neighborhood of Stockbridge a few minutes walk down the hill was full of nice shops and places to eat. The apartment itself is just lovely. The huge windows make it very bright and yet you never feel overlooked by people walking by. The furniture is stylish and comfortable and the kitchen fully equipped for cooking. The owners were very responsive and flexible as regards our arrival and departure schedule. If we come back to Edinburgh we will definitely book this apartment again.

A Hidden Gem

A fabulous apartment kitted out with everything you need for a great stay in a fantastic city. Close to everything, we could walk the whole of the city from here and did ! The immaculate apartment was a real treat to come back to after taking in all the sights and the special touches left by the owners made us feel very welcome. It is bright and airy in a lovely part of new town and is beautifully decorated . We had breakfast out in the terraced area most mornings and visited the local Stockbrige market on Sunday morning at the owners suggestion it was a lovely little market with lots of artisan food and crafts. I would thoroughly recommend choosing to stay here and plan to return again next year. Thanks again. Gwyn and Jane

Felt Like Home

Many thanks to Weng & Martin for creating a wonderful, spacious and extremely comfortable well designed apt.

You will find everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Edinburgh.

The apt. is well equipped from lovely furnishings, bedding and decor. Situated in New Town, close to Stockbridge for markets, shops etc. and to GeorgeSt. Princes St. & the Castle in Old Town…..you can walk everywhere.

A big thank you to Weng & Martin for their gracious hospitality ……they really do it right.

Nearest Airport : Edinburgh Airport at 9 Miles Nearest Train : Waverley Station at 1 Miles Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

The East Lothian coast with its myriad walks, links courses and pretty coastal towns can be reached quickly by car or train, as can the East Neuk of Fife with a string of charming fishing villages.

Travel:

Edinburgh Airport has multiple flights per day to London and European destinations. The airport is easily reached by a cheap and regular bus or tram which stops minutes from the flat.

The flat is handy for both of Edinburgh's mainline rail stations which serve the entire UK comprehensively.

Car use isn't required in Edinburgh since everywhere is walkable, but drivers will find restricted paid parking right outside the front door, or longer-term parking in one of the city's main car parks.

Distances:

Since Edinburgh is a compact city and a joy to walk around, distances are irrelevant given the prime city centre location. However those wishing to explore further afield will find Glasgow, Stirling, Perth and St Andrews within easy reach by car or public transport, with the majestic highlands and the rural Scottish Borders quite feasible for day trips for those with a car.

STAY MORE THAN 13 NIGHTS = 2 NIGHTS FREE.
All payments required in £GBP sterling, and this can be by bank transfer or personal cheque.
In the case of last-minute bookings, funds must be cleared in full before access can be given to the flat.
A £200 Damage Deposit is required for very serious damage or very excessive cleaning, but this is refunded within a day or two of your departure. Please note our cancellation policy which we have to apply, and kindly insure yourself against cancellation.
