You'll be in Edinburgh's most splendid Georgian location amidst this UNESCO World Heritage site. Here the grand façade is arranged around a lavish circular garden, with restricted road access affording it a surreal sense of calm and silence - perhaps best appreciated after dark under the New Town's atmospheric white street lights. Despite the peace, bohemian Stockbridge is a delightful 5 minute walk along cobbled streets, whilst George Street's high-end shops and venues are similarly close by to the south. Accessed via a private gate down a short stone staircase, the front door can be found opening onto a sunny but sheltered courtyard which is a magical spot for al-fresco breakfasting or evening drinks. Once inside the open-plan layout is clean, comfortable and fully-equipped for your stay, with enough period features (high skirting boards and working shutters) to remind you where you are.

Stunning well-appointed flat walking distance to everything

To put it simply, everything was perfect. The flat is sun-filled and charming, walking distance to all that Edinburgh has to offer but in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. We arrived to a basket of bread, jam, wine and other goodies to tide us over. Weng and Martin made everything so easy from transportation advice, restaurant recommendations and ideas for area activities (including the Sunday Market down the street - a splendid treat). It was such a welcoming flat that we didn't want to leave - which simply means that we will need to return.

Great location, comfortable and well appointed

The location in an upscale neighborhood was excellent for access to the town and restaurants.

The modern decor worked well and the owners were very kind to leave a bottle of wine, nuts, cereal and milk for breakfast. Very clean, and comfortable stay - could not have asked for more.

Beautiful apartment, very well thought out for short term stays. This is 5* accommodation where every little detail of your stay had been thought of and accommodated well. Quiet area but easy walking distance to castle and Old town.

A Fabulous Stay!

My husband and I spent a week in Weng and Martin's apartment. The apartment is incredible...tastefully furnished, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable. We always looked forward to coming back to the apartment at the end of a long day, opening a bottle of wine, and relaxing. We cooked our meals most every night in the very well-equipped kitchen. Thrilled to have been provided with a steamer as we steamed mussels for dinner on a couple of occasions. Stockbridge is about a 5 minute walk, and the village has a wonderful butcher, a terrific fishmonger, and an outstanding cheese shop...I J Mellis. The bed was so very comfortable. We always had a great night's sleep, and we awoke feeling refreshed and energized. The bathroom was large with a walk-in shower, plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The location was perfect. In an extremely quiet neighborhood away from the hustle, bustle and noise of tourist central. The apartment is convenient to all the sights, and we walked everywhere. Weng and Martin were gracious, and responded to my emails promptly. Checking in was a breeze. Lovely stay at Moray Place

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moray Place. The bed was extremely comfortable, we slept 12 hours straight after 24 hours of travel! The apartment not only looked wonderful, but also worked well. All appliances were in perfect working order and had clear instructions. All the lights worked, shower was large with great water temperature and pressure. The kitchen had every utensil we needed, and more! When we arrived we found a nice selection of treats and breakfast supplies. For those bothered by noise, this apartment is wonderfully quiet! Moray Place is a great location, we walked everywhere, but had our lovely little oasis to come back to in the evening. You will not regret staying here, we can't wait to return!

Perfect in every way!

There is nothing but praise for this lovely flat. From the beggining the communication and information from Martin & Weng was prompt and efficient. On arrival we found a bottle of wine, jelly, cereal, chocolates, milk, bread and butter waiting for us. The flat offers every amenity possible including a hot bottle water which I though unique but came to love after hiking Arthur's Seat and having a sore back. The location makes it possible to walk everywhere in town and the local Sunday market down the street in Stockbridge was a treat. Thanks again for sharing your lovely place with us, wish we could have stayed longer!

Coast/Beach:

The East Lothian coast with its myriad walks, links courses and pretty coastal towns can be reached quickly by car or train, as can the East Neuk of Fife with a string of charming fishing villages.

Travel:

Edinburgh Airport has multiple flights per day to London and European destinations. The airport is easily reached by a cheap and regular bus or tram which stops minutes from the flat.

The flat is handy for both of Edinburgh's mainline rail stations which serve the entire UK comprehensively.

Car use isn't required in Edinburgh since everywhere is walkable, but drivers will find restricted paid parking right outside the front door, or longer-term parking in one of the city's main car parks.

Distances:

Since Edinburgh is a compact city and a joy to walk around, distances are irrelevant given the prime city centre location. However those wishing to explore further afield will find Glasgow, Stirling, Perth and St Andrews within easy reach by car or public transport, with the majestic highlands and the rural Scottish Borders quite feasible for day trips for those with a car.

Changeover Day:
Changeover days are completely flexible, but we would appreciate you arriving no earlier than 15 30 on arrival day, and kindly vacating by 10 30 on the day of departure. Any variance must be by prior agreement please but we will always try to help.

STAY MORE THAN 6 NIGHTS = 1 NIGHT FREE.
STAY MORE THAN 13 NIGHTS = 2 NIGHTS FREE.
All payments required in £GBP sterling, and this can be by bank transfer or personal cheque.
In the case of last-minute bookings, funds must be cleared in full before access can be given to the flat.
A £200 Damage Deposit is required for very serious damage or very excessive cleaning, but this is refunded within a day or two of your departure. Please note our cancellation policy which we have to apply, and kindly insure yourself against cancellation.
