About Morgan Jackson

I was born and brought up in the beautiful Edale valley, and have wonderful childhood memories of skiing back home from the tiny village school after deep snows in Winter, making dens out of hay bales in Summer and tickling trout for breakfast from the local stream - whilst avoiding the river warden!!! My parents, grandparents and great grandmother all lived in Edale and after I moved away to University and then down to London for work I knew it was a place I'd always return to. When my grandparents died, about 10 years ago, I was in a position to buy their house, which is Belmont. In recent years I've completely renovated the property and now offer the house to groups who can come and enjoy the amazing scenery and surroundings of Edale where I was brought up.

Morgan Jackson purchased this house in 2006

Beautiful cottage in the most magical of places

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at belmont house for a girls weekend away (with 15 of us in total)

The cottage itself was Beautiful, extremely clean, beautiful decor, everything you'd need provided, all in all a very homely feel to the cottage. All the girls in the group commented on how beautiful the house was, and not to mention where the house sat, beautiful Edale, which can only be described as magical. Beautiful walk and scenery. The cottage overlooks the hills and wow what a view to wake up to.

Morgan who I organised the stay with was extremely helpful, what a genuine, caring man, who really showed an interest in ensuring you had the most comfortable of stays.

Would love to come back sometime to stay. HIGHLY RECCOMMEND!

Fabulous house for a group get together

  • 5 of 5

Belmont House was wonderfully equipped and so comfortable for 12 of us to stay. We really enjoyed that we all had luxurious beds, access to lots of bathrooms and could easily sit round a dining table for a lovely meal. Morgan was helpful and communicative during our booking process. We couldn't book an evening meal at a local pub but the pie we bought from a recommended local supplier instead was fantastic and great value.
