Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for making us so welcome to your lovely cottage. It's very comfortable and homely, but also practical. The well equipped kitchen is great ! Our days have been busy visiting different places, and have loved coming back to the peace and quiet of the cottage, and enjoying an evening walk in the woods.

We have watched the bats at dusk, seen an amazing sunset and beautiful starry skies, a real treat for us.

Many thanks for a really enjoyable stay.

Liz,Nick, Phoebe and Ralph.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely peaceful cottage. Lots of activities during the day, then back for a chill out.

Devon is beautiful !

Bella, our dog enjoyed her walks aswell.

You made us feel very welcome with eggs, bacon and sausages. And Bryan's favourite, Devon Cream Teas.

Thanks again and may be see you again in the future.

Chris,Bryan,Jas,Edward and Bella.

Lovely cozy lodge

  • 4 of 5

Lovely cozy lodge, comfy bed and sofas and a spacious kitchen. Hot tub was warm enough to be in even when the outside temperature was low. Welcome pack of breakfast essentials and scones on arrival. We were sad to leave

Had a great 10 days stay. It's got everything you need. We went out everyday and visited different parts of Devon. It's was lovely to come back on an evening and relax in the hot tub.

Special interest holidays:

There are ample walks through woodland and along rivers. There is a footpath from the farm. The Tarka Trail is a short distance away. Dartmoor National Park is easily reached, with the likes of Two Bridges, the historic Warren Inn and Widdecombe-In-The-Moor well worth a visit. For the adrenalin seekers, Haldon Hill is for you, with miles of cycle trails and tree surfing at Go-Ape.

Why not try Carriage Driving.

The Eden Project is only 90 minutes away and a must.

And much much more to do.

And after a busy day and you do not want to cook, then the Travellers Rest Inn at Tedburn St Mary has good food at reasonable prices. Only 10 minutes away, but booking is essential.

Coast/Beach:

The sandy beaches of Dawlish and Exmouth are approximately 35 minutes away.

Travel:

Exeter airport is 20 miles away. The local village has a good bus service, and the nearby village of Yeoford has the nearest train station, with Exeter St Davids only 10 miles away. We are happy to pick up visitors from the train stations or Exeter airport.

Distances:

The village of Cheriton Bishop is two miles away. With the main shopping towns of Crediton, Exeter and Okehampton within a 15 minute drive.

Further Details:

Why not take away the hassle of not having enough room in your car, have your shopping delivered and we will pack it all away for you.

Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury, Tesco and Waitrose all deliver in this area.

Crediton, Exeter and Okehanpton are within a fifteen minute drive away, if you need to top up with shopping or need a bank.

The local village of Hittisleigh and the town of Crediton have farmers markets on alternate Saturdays throughout the month, provide locally grown and organic produce.

Fancy a night off from cooking and the dishes, then there are a number of good local pubs to feed you. We would highly recommend the Travellers Rest, less than a ten minute drive away.

The Fingle Bridge Inn is slightly further away, about fifteen minutes, but is well worth the drive.

The surrounding towns offer a wide range of British and multi national menus in both pubs and restaurants.
