House in Kingsand / Cawsand, Cornwall, England - Approximately 10 Minute Walk To The Beach

The house is located just outside of the village with views of Cawsand Bay and the surrounding countryside. It was built in the 1950's, there are a number of steps up to the property and both the front and back gardens are on slopes. There is kerbside parking outside the property usually available. The house has electric radiators in all rooms except the bathroom which has a wall mounted fan heater.

About Jonathan Kiernan

I was born and raised in the village and have retained the family home, using it as much as possible ourselves and by our children and small grandchildren.

My wife and I are retired and currently live in the East Midlands.

Why Jonathan Kiernan chose Cawsand

The property was left to me by my mother when she died in 1999. My parents lived in it from new, I was born and lived there for the first 23 years of my life.

What makes this house unique

The main benefits are relaxation, the area is very quiet. There are views of the bay from the front and open fields behind, where deer graze in the morning and evenings. The Rame peninsula is perfect for walking, bird watching and beaching.

The Rame peninsula is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and also a Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Great house in a perfect setting.

Our stay in Kingsand was perfect. The house is in a great location and perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside. We saw deer in the field behind the house from the window and there are lovely little beaches a short walk down the road.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and we will certainly be back.

Great location BUT

This is in a great location. However there is one major issue which is not identified on the listing for the property. There is NO WiFi and NO phone signal with any phone network! I could live with the lack of WiFi but if there had been that then at least we would have been contactable. The fact that there is no phone in the house means that there is no way anyone can reach you or you reach anyone! This is something that should be emphasised on the listing.

Owner's Response: We are very sorry that the lack of wifi and telephone caused you a problem during your stay. We do identify on our OD listing that we do not have these features in the house but now realise that when our listing comes up on the OD web site it only shows what we do have and not what we do not have, so again we are very sorry about this. We have now updated our listing "Notes" to expressly indicate that we don't have these facilities. There is a telephone signal on the seafront in the village and currently free wifi in at least one pub.

Fantastic location

Well equiped house in a fantastic location Cawsand & Kingsand are perfect little villages on the sea front people are so friendly and helpful we will be returning next year without a doubt. The house was a good base for our family of 4, our girls loved seeing Deer every afternoon in the field at the back of the garden. The house is just on the outskirt of the villages which takes less than 10 mins to walk to but there are a few steps so may not be suitable for everyone.

I would suggest furniture in the living room could be up-dated but again we used the house as a base so not a big problem.

Short break.

The property was exactly as described. The location was excellent for coastal walks and the sea and town . Everything we needed was available in the accommodation and it was perfectly clean .

All in all l can highly recommend this as a choice to stay at ,our whole party from. Elderly parent to teenage son and dogs thoroughly enjoyed this short break .

Great property!

We had a great stay at this property and would definitely book again.

It has the feel of a cosy family home rather than a show home that some rentals have (you know the ones where you worry about putting a cup down...)

The big plus for us was being able to take our two Greyhounds. The area is doggy heaven and most of the pubs, cafes and restaurants are dog friendly.

Well situated just on the outskirts of Cawsand, Just a few minutes walk from the village centre.

We will definitely book again and are happy to recommend!
