About the Owner

Jo and Richard live at Low Todrigg because it is where it is and we love it. It is in the wilds but close to everything you need. We are outdoor lovers and find the seasons and the wildlife always interesting. We enjoy meeting the guests at the cottages and doing the conversions has been fun and interesting. Both of us have lived in the Lakes for over twenty years.

Guestbook comments from the owner

A lovely cottage, a perfect place to be, a great location, a friendly family and wonderful surroundings.

Peace and tranquillity in perfect surroundings. The cottage was just what we had hoped for and what the doctor ordered.

A haven for a quiet, relaxing time. With clean, comfortable, well equipped accommodation, especially that wonderfully comfortable bed and friendly unobtrusive hosts, what more could we want.

  • Notes on accommodation: These cottages are very careful barn conversions that keep all the character with exposed oak beams, oak flooring and wood fuelled heating. They stand in the garden of a lovely old Cumbrian farmhouse and look across the Eden Valley for miles and miles. They cater for two and make a great getaway. The bedrooms have double beds (or two singles in the Old Stable), the sitting rooms have comfy sofas and the kitchens are fully equipped with gas hobs, electric ovens and microwaves. TV, DVD and CD are installed and WiFi is available in the Cottage. Outside: Both cottages have access to the garden but the opportunities for strolling from the house make this especially pleasant. The Cottage has a patio of its own and BBQ facilities are provided.
