Cider cottage has flagged stone floors with an open plan kitchen/living with oak fitments and is suitable for wheelchair users. The new kitchen was installed at the end of 2016 and is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, hob, oven and large fridge-freezer. There is an adjoining conservatory where you can eat and open the doors to the front courtyard.
At the rear of the kitchen there are double doors leading to a large paved private patio and barbecue area.
The living area has a TV/DVD player and leading off the main living area there is a twin bedroom with large en suite shower room and shower seat for wheelchair users.
Upstairs there are old stripped pine floors with warm rugs and two double bedrooms. One with a 5’ four poster bed with an en suite bathroom and roll top bath and another with a 5’ four poster with en suite shower room.
A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in a communal laundry space.
Swallow, Hay, Cider and Apple cottages used to be an integral part of the working farm and date back to the doomsday book although a lots changed since then. Sleeping 6, 7, 6 and 3 respectively the cottages have been carefully restored with flagstone floors, oak beams and furnished with beautiful beds and ample furniture. Relax in-front of the TV, get online on your laptop or cook up a storm in our well equipped kitchens or simply relax with a book in our conservatory overlooking the duckpond.
Mark and Katie have recently purchased Halsbeer Farm from the previous owners who lovingly restored the courtyard of derelict barns into beautiful holiday cottages. Mark and Katie live in the farmhouse with their children Mia and Felix.
We searched for a long time for the perfect spot, and finally settled on the Blackdown Hills. We love the peace and quiet of living in a rural area, and enjoy walking to the pub in the village for a quiet pint in the summer evenings.
