About the Owner

I was born in Norwich, and grew up on a farm in a little village near Wymondham.

My childhood was idyllic with many Sunday trips to the Norfolk coast.

We wanted to keep a connection with Norfolk after sadly losing my mum last year, we had always had at least a weeks holiday in Norfolk together every year.

I have many fond memories as do my children, there are so many things to discover.

We stayed in many cottages over the years around the coast line and Snettisham seemed to tick all the boxes with so much on offer in the area for all ages.

We hope we have created a lovely period cottage that is homely, comfortable, spacious and well equipped.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Thank you Sally for making our weekend away so special! The little touches made it the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle from London. The local pub is magnificent... would definitely recommend the burger!"

Jennifer, London

We have had s fantastic holiday here in Snettisham and Amber Cottage.

The cottage is well equipped, comfortable and stylish.

Snettisham Farm Park is amazing, the kids really enjoyed feeding the lambs and having a ride on the ponies. We will also tell our family and friends about this beautiful cottage. We are hoping to come back later in the year.

Beautiful,charming cottage.

Easy to find even though we arrived in the dark.

We felt instantly at home. So many homely touches. Much bigger than I expected or a clever lay out.

Would happily stay again.

Good location .

Fabulous cottage, great location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a fabulous New Year break in this lovely cottage. It's a really comfortable, cosy cottage, well equipped with everything you need to make the most of your stay and with the added bonus of being bigger than we expected. Snettisham is a lovely village surrounded by great walks/days out etc, plenty to do for everyone. A highlight is The Rose and Crown, a friendly pub serving great food. We hope to return to the cottage soon.

Lovely Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from Amber Cottage. It has lovely old fashioned charm with period features while having a new addition at the rear of the house with a modern airy kitchen and bathroom. It was our first time away from home at Christmas and lived all to all our expectations. The owners decorated the cottage with a few festive touches and this made all the difference, it was charming.

The beaches are within easy reach and we found lots of people exercising their dogs. We visited Sandringham , where we had a lovely walk . The visitor centre has a gift shop and café and parking is free.

All in all a wonderful short break in a quiet village. Highly recommended.

Perfect Norfolk cottage

  • 5 of 5

We have recently returned from a perfect three nights in this cute, yet spacious cottage. Four adults, two children and our Norfolk loving dog thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and facilities this beautifully refurbished cottage has to offer. The kids loved the Wii console and sweet garden, which magically lit up at night! The location is perfect too- ten minutes walk to our favourite pub, the Rose and Crown and within easy drive of Brancaster, Holkham and Heacham beaches- all beautiful and dog friendly.

We will most certainly be returning to the cottage very soon. Thank you, Sally.
